One of my favorite cafes close to home. I always get one of the iced signature lattes and they don't disappoint. I usually get the Irish Cream Brulee Latte or the Caramel Haze because I love the cold foam.Reasonably priced compared to getting coffee from a well known chain. Boba drinks are also fairly decent too and the tapioca topping tastes fresh. Food price seems a little pricey for breakfast. The interior inside is very cozy and well decorated with plenty of seating. I've only ever came during the mornings and there usually aren't a lot of people here. Java Loco is a serene, vibey cafe in Falls Church! I visited on a rainy day after touring properties with my siblings and was drawn to their extensive drink menu. The ambiance is a lovely aesthetic of exposed brick, whicker seats, and lots of green plants positioned all around the cafe. Very spacious, has plenty of outlets, and is quite quiet with classical music in the background. I could see this as a great spot to get some work done or catch up with friends and family! I got the large Matcha Seasalt Foam with Honey Boba - a semi-sweet tea with a creamy milk top. I enjoyed the light saltiness and thought the matcha was refreshing. It is oftentimes difficult for iced matcha to not be chunky, but Java Loco's was smooth and flavorful. The honey-soaked boba was tasty and a bit on the tougher side. With only a two person staff, the drinks take a bit longer to make if you want something more elaborate. However, they did a great job and it's evident they took their time. This boba is a bit on the pricey side, but it is worth visiting for the ambiance. If I'm ever back in the area, I'm intrigued to try their coffee and sandwiches. Got a Viet coffee per everyone's recommendation with a lox for breakfast. The Viet coffee was a bit on the heavier side which I'm not totally used to. The food and drink was good, but nothing to write home about. The everything bagel that the lox came on was soft, wasn't very flavorful but the cured salmon was just fine. Again, it was good but nothing special. Great ambiance and friendly staff - I always appreciate a shop that knows their manners! Kudos to management for making this a priority. I stopped by Java Loco with my friend this past Sunday morning after doing some light shopping at the Trader Joe's next door. Maybe I didn't get the right coffee drink here, but I was not a fan of the cold brew. The cold brew was burnt tasting (and the only way for this to happen is if the beans were burnt during roasting). If I stop by for coffee in the future, I'll give the Vietnamese Iced Coffee or lattes a try. I would not recommend the cold brew here unless you like super dark roasts. My friend got a ham, egg & cheese breakfast sandwich this morning that was tasty (I had a couple bites). I'm not normally a fan of ham, but this one was quite good. The egg was thick and fluffy. The sandwich was on the expensive side, but it did the job of keeping her full and happy. read more

My goodness the breakfast and other sandwiches, take out a small loan. I get it to a degree. Location, location, location. Yet I cannot justify getting their sandwiches here, as they are too much money. Coffee or a latte, those are better choices. This is what I go here for. Wonderful employees. For my study sesh at the library tried the Vietnamese iced coffee with sea salt cream! The bubbles are very chewy and tasty, and I always love shaking my drink and watching the foam and drink mix! I found the place really neat and clean - 5 star, parking is horrible with a busy trader joe's next door (probably why it's the 3rd coffee place in this location) - 1star, very cool menu with some neat sounding breakfast/sandwich options (though no food this trip for me), service was friendly and efficient - 4 stars, the lavender latte was disappointing (maybe that's on me, but not at all as good as others I have had elsewhere) - 2 stars. I really enjoyed this spot. I stopped by for an afternoon boost. I ordered the iced white mocha (with oat milk) and a coffee cake (for good measure). The establishment was clean, relatively quiet, and the staff were kind and helpful. If you're looking for a "sbux" though, this is not it. Second mistake was ordering the Vietnamese coffee. Save yourself the $6.50 and just make it yourself at home -- it might actually taste like a proper Viet coffee if you know what you're doing. Given how quickly it was ready, chances are this is pre-made. Taste has an ever-so-slight hint of chocolate and lacks the distinct flavor of condensed milk. Walking into this shop is like a breath of fresh air! There is so much natural light, it feels homey with a touch of modern, and is very inviting. They have a good sized menu for a coffee/tea shop, offering both breakfast and lunch options! I got their sausage egg and cheese on a croissant (and added tomato bc I simply felt like it) along with a caramel macchiato. I was definitely pleased! Reasonably priced and good quality food+coffee! Forget to take pics but they stopped in and grabbed a strawberry l'amoure milk tea and moonlight mango tea! My son thought the strawberry milk tea was really good and my moonlight mango was outstanding. It was not too sweet and you can taste all the ingredients and mango jelly was a great addition! Hands down one of my favorite coffee shops in VA! It's located next to a Trader Joe's so that is instantly a double win for me. I came here with a few friends to celebrate a gift exchange and I was surprised by their menu. They offer different flavored lattes, sandwiches, breakfast items, pastries, smoothies, Vietnamese coffee, and bubble tea! I'm partial to bagel sandwiches and my go-to is their sausage, egg and cheese on an everything bagel. I highly recommend their pistachio latte, it's so delicious I order it every single time. The pistachio flavor is all over this drink which is why it has become my favorite hot drink item from the menu. This coffee shop is cute and cozy and plenty of parking spaces in the shopping center. I was sad when I saw Peet's Coffee closed, but was intrigued when I saw a new coffee shop replacing it. I finally tried it today and was not disappointed. I got a coffee and a sandwich. They had alternative milk options! A lactose intolerance dream! Almond and soy milk :) JAVA CAPPUCCINO The menu said it was a dark and white mocha, so it's like a milk chocolate flavor. It was really good, not too sweet. GOUDA GOBBLER I thought the sandwiches would be like a panini, but I was wrong. It was a cold sandwich and the portion size surprised me! As much as I love how much turkey was given, it was a bit salty, so maybe add more veggies to balance it out? I found it interesting that they also served boba and from my research Ocha Tea is a stand alone boba shop too. So the owner just combined the two shops together? I believe I tried the lychee lover tea, which was delicious and fruity :) my one complaint would be baby chop up the lychee because you have to peel the plastic to reach it. It was unnecessarily messy to enjoy :/ Overall the service was nice and will be back again :) Hopefully once the pandemic is over I can study in there again like I did at Peets. read more

My sister and I always come here for boba, the service is excellent and they always give you the right amount of bubbles. They make it extremely easy to order, and their menu is very simple. They have quite a bit of flavors to choose from for your boba tea. I cant say I have tried their food but I bet its just as good as any other cafe, if not, better. Their tea is perfect, not too sweet or bitter, and not too flavorful or plain. Their boba pearls are just fine, though they're not as chewy as I usually like them but thats okay. The staff is very new (obviously because they just opened up) so they seemed very confused but they were trying their best. The atmosphere/decor is nice. The coffee was good. I came in 15 minutes before closing, and the staff still managed to be very welcoming and went over the menu without even attempting to rush me. Their customer service was exceptional-just kind and patient and even introduced a new option to my drink. I ordered the coffee smoothie ( I know it's winter but I wanted something cold) and it was good. The texture was smooth, so finely blended. I didn't have chunks of ice in the drink at all. The barista added tapioca balls for me to try with the drink. The facility was clean, everyone was wearing masks and they have a shield between customers and the counter. read more

Sweet boba - the Thai milk tea is especially flavorful and well-balanced. I don't know how I drank these everyday as a teenager though because WOW ARE THEY SWEET lol. The drinks are packaged neatly and the straws are cute colors. They definitely seem stressed working here but in my experience if you come in with a wave and a smile you'll mostly get equal reception. Biscoff cookies by the counter for $1 are great to pair with your drink, and the boba is pricey (it's an add-on) but if you're going to spend $7 on Starbucks anyway, what's the harm? Nice place to sit and listen to music, write, or think. Big spot for Marshall kids after-school recognizable by their plaid pajama pants. Parking lot is treacherous if you've never been there before as a pedestrian! Look both ways!
