    Lavender Matcha

I'm not the coffee drinker in my house, my husband is so I after seeing my bro and SIL at a bar happy hour and they hyped this place up on top of a random lady joining our convo to agree I just knew we had to try it out as soon as possible! I picked up an iced lavender matcha for me and a waygood latte for my mans. The barista taking my order was so friendly! I get nervous going to places for the first time and he eased my social anxiety with his friendliness. I opted for the drive thru and being mid morning there was no wait! My matcha was delicious! And my husbands latte was better than what I've had before. The cold foam on top was thick! Yum! Definitely gonna make this place our go to.

Went here because I was looking for a place to study but decided to just get a coffee and study elsewhere. There is a drive through and a walk up with a side patio. When I came around 1pm, I had to ring the doorbell to get service. I got the James Brown coffee and it was perfectly sweet even with oat milk. I also got a bagel. They do have breakfast tacos but I suggest going earlier than I did as they sell out pretty fast. The only thing I suggest is having a print out of the menu on the window. The website and the menu you see at the drive through are two different things so as a first timer, I didn't really know what they fully had. Plus when you scan the QR code, for some reason you have to go through a bunch of ads first. I would come here again though

The food (cake pop) was delicious! The size of it was pretty decent! The coffee itself was ok, I feel like it was more on the weak side. As well as they do offer all flavors in hot cold or ice but promote more the ice coffees. I did revive a dirty chai it was very spiced! Would come back to try something else possibly. The service was a decent speed the people were nice. And the seating is some out side but manly drive through.

Very good service! Although it is not an indoor cafe there is seating outside. Menu is interesting & workers were very nice! -Blueberry Chai 7/10 a bit weird but good, very sweet, strong blueberry flavor -Toffee Coffee 8/10 not sweet, cream on top is perfect, coffee itself isn't too strong

I've been here multiple times and every time, the barista is always so nice and my coffees are delicious. I recently purchased a bagel, and even the packing it came in was super adorable. I really like the music playing in the drive-thru too. Love this place! It's my new favorite.

Mothers Day Waited over 20mins for two drinks! Ordered at the window and I'm assuming given it was busy they lost the ticket and then gave me an attitude when I came to check on the progress lol. You're probably thinking I had an attitude, I literally just asked but I did have a serious tone lol I mean it is 90degrees out here, we're waiting outside. Anyways, a younger gentleman (Hispanic, somewhat of a beard) asked me multiple times how I ordered and if I had a receipt which I didn't, given they didn't give one lol. He said he had nothing on his screen, he did lol. I showed him my bank account with the purchase and said... you don't have a receipt or barcode? I can't make this up lol... and then asked how I ordered it lol dawg we're at the literal window where people order. Anywho as I right this and sit in my car across from Waffle House another woman mad as hell is storming to her car. I noticed her in the line and they just messed her order up and was rude to her as well... Get it together lol. Also the lil black gay boy had an attitude as well... piss poor

Waygood Coffee is Pearland's newest coffee and it also happens to be the closest one to where I live as well. It was a fast food chain spot that converted to this drive thru coffee shop. There is also a small patio if you want to sit and enjoy your cup of joe. I have visited multiple times since they have opened since I know alot of new places go through some growing pains. They did and have progressively gotten better on every visit. The staff is always super friendly and very helpful. On my first visit, there was a line at the drive thru that poured out into the street. I navigated my way through the cluster you know what that was in the parking lot and found a parking spot so I could do a walk up order. I wasn't sure what I wanted, but I did ask for something that I could substitute the dairy in the drink. They suggested the Waygood Latte which was a vanilla and caramel latte with cloud. Now they have Waygood Cloud as well as Waygood Milk. I do know they they are variations of sweetened milk, but that is all they could tell me. I got the latte iced and it was delicious. Not overly sweet with hints of the flavors advertised. I tried an Iced Perfect Mocha the next time and this one had the Waygood Milk in it. This drink was so good as it had a velvety, creamy consistency with just the right amount of mocha flavor. I have yet to try any of the teas or energy drink concoctions, but am looking forward to it. I will say with or without a line, I have always had a little bit of a wait. Be patient and let them work out their kinks. I will be back!

Pearland may be oversaturated with chain restaurants, but our coffee game is on point! New coffee shops continue to open up and I ain't mad at it. I love coffee and always appreciate the opportunity to try a new local spot. I've been looking forward to trying Waygood Coffee, but I made a point to wait for the buzz to die down. On my first visit I ordered a medium (16 oz.) Iced Vietnamese Latte from the walk up window. I really enjoyed this drink and it tasted like an authentic Vietnamese coffee. It was very sweet (as one would expect), so I don't know if I would order this on a regular basis, but it definitely satisfied the craving. On my second visit, I ordered through the drive thru and tried the Waygood Latte. It comes with their Cloud Foam. I found out that the Vietnamese Latte has the Cloud Milk which is a secret recipe. That explains why it was so sweet. The Waygood Latte wasn't as sweet, but I did like the foam. It had a nice strong coffee flavor. I would have preferred just a tad more sweetness to this drink. The barista explained that the The Waygood Cloud and Waygood Milk can be added to drinks for an extra $1. The Vietnamese Latte and The Perfect Mocha already have Cloud Milk in it. If I understood her correctly, subbing the Cloud Milk with an alternative will change the flavor of the drink because they aren't able to put the ingredients of the Cloud Milk into other milk alternatives. They have breakfast tacos and pastries from local eateries. I love that they're supporting other small businesses. The signage is a little misleading. The signs say "walk in" parking but it's really "walk up." This operation is all outdoors so do not try to go inside the building. They have a small seating area in the breezeway and there is a bathroom that you can enter from the breezeway area. The drive thru is a bit confusing. I can't totally blame them for the parking layout since it was already designed this way when this establishment was Checkers. The drive thru entrance is on the side off of Old Max Ct. If you turn in from Broadway (near Waffle House), it takes you to the "walk in" parking spaces. A car got in the drive thru line from the wrong direction and blocked me in when I was trying to leave. No wonder it was a hot mess during opening weekend when cars were backed up on Broadway. They have a rewards program. I opted in on my second visit. It's on Toast Tab and you can sign up using your phone number. You earn 1 point per dollar spent. Every 50 points earns $5 off. You get 25 bonus points for signing up. So far, I'm digging their coffee. It hasn't dethroned my favorite spots in town, but I like it enough to add them to my coffee rotation.

    Cold Brew with Cloud

It was my first time here, and it definitely won't be my last! I'm not a fan of overly sweet coffee, so with the barista's help I decided to get their cold brew with cloud topping. Turns out I really enjoyed it, and was perfect for a hot day. I also got a fajita taco with green salsa, and it was BOMB. Will definitely be getting that again. I didn't get to go inside, but their drive thru line moves quickly.

They're brand new. The grand opening was last week. As such they get a pass for the first 90 days on anything overly critical... Overly. First off, Friday at 10a, no line. Gotta love the remote work culture. Your walls might drive you crazy, but you can drive on out to get whatever you want whilst working. And so I did. It appears to be a drive through only. Not quite sure if there is any interior seating. The lot is small, so follow the signs folks. The menu is pretty simple. I went with David's Brew, but had oatmilk added. It was great coffee, but I didn't taste any amaretto that was noted in the foam stuff. So I might consider in my future visit to add a shot or halfsie of whatever if you want a specific flavor profile. To be clear, I don't like sugary, but I do like flavors. Hence the suggestion. I did strike up a conversation with my person. They were not ready for the turnout for their opening, glad I waited a wee bit. Will be back for a follow up!

It was so interesting how the iced coffees and teas are poured... out of a TAP-like draft beer at a bar. Price was $7-something for a large iced and a medium hot coffee. Unlike Starbucks, various milks and flavors are't upcharges. I do believe it was more for like whipped cream. We'll definitely be back with the kids so they can sample a donut.

However, my last experience with this establishment left a horrible taste in my mouth. Therefore, I am giving them an extra star for the previous experiences. On May 17th, 2026, my best friend and I had been looking forward to coming to Water Oak all day and had our taste buds set for the occasion. We were famished and had quite a day up until arriving. Upon entering the restaurant, we were very briefly greeted by the a Hispanic man who I assume is the manager and told that they were "no longer seating for the day". I glanced around and saw that every table inside WAS seated, however there were many tables outside that were empty. I asked about the patio stating that us where we preferred to sit anyway, and was met with that they were also not seating the patio at all for the rest of the day. However, there was a group of 3 women seated outside on the patio at that exact time. I didn't say anything, simply turned and left. After having "one of those days" hashing out something so minute with a person who clearly didn't want us in their place of business was not something I was about to do. Keep in mind, we came on a Sunday afternoon. Prime brunch time. We arrived at the restaurant around 2:30PM, and their website says they don't close until 4PM. I am a biracial black woman and my friend is white. I noticed a significant amount of White and Latino patrons, but a shocking lack of Black people. With Houston having one of the most diverse populations in the US, it is almost impossible not to see at least one individual of each ethnicity in a place at any given time. I am definitely not one that likes to pull the race card, because oftentimes that is not the issue. However, as someone who is familiar with the service industry I understand Sundays can be extremely overwhelming. And I am cognizant that not everything is that serious. But, I am also aware that a lot of people in the industry discriminate against people of color, with stigmas that we don't leave enough gratuity or we "don't fit the vibe of their establishment". And those 3 women seated on the patio? All White. After reading recent reviews, it seems that management is discriminating against people of color, more specifically Black folks. This is an extremely disheartening and sickening realization to make, seeing as I have given well over $1,000 worth of my money here but also enjoyed many meals without issue. To management: It breaks my heart to have to write this review and to be honest, I wouldn't have written it if I hadn't seen others posting about similar experiences in addition to also feeling discriminated against. I highly suggest that if you are "not seating" after a specific time, you announce this via social media or alert potential patrons with a sign or something of the sort. & obviously, there is such an issue with treatment towards POC that it is a noteworthy problem via your Google & Yelp reviews. You will have a much bigger fish to fry on your hands if you continue to let this issue go on unrectified. I would be willing to return if I felt things were to be changed for the better in the future! Hopefully this review sparks a much needed conversation and brings attention to an area which needs work.
