The prices were a little more than the big box stores but it is family owned, local, and has everything we needed for home repairs/upgrades. They have two locations, Canton and West Hartford. They offer paint recycling. If they don't have the product in stock, they will order it for you since they are affiliated with the Ace Hardware warehouse; the warehouse carries over 80,000 items. They offer many services in-house such as key cutting and propane fills. When you join the Ace Rewards, you can earn rewards with every purchase. Overall, a great asset for the community.

Since I couldn't go into the store when he would be available (I live 40 minutes away) he referred me to speak to the assistant manager Dillon. Dillon is one of the RUDEST person I've come across with. He needs serious customer service training and etiquette. i won't be shopping there again!

Actually, the store has 2 doors demarcating the hardware store proper on the right, and the flea market kind of place on the left. If you need an odd sized bolt or washer or screw, there must be hundreds of them here. I stopped in today looking to sell an old mirror. The proprietor wasn't interested in buying it, but was agreeable to offering it for a consignment sale. The proprietor is a friendly guy, and the store is a trip and a half to browse around in. I was disappointed at the way the pricing difference was brushed off. It was a "take it, or leave it" scenario.
