Hatch chili Mac and cheese and fried onions on brisket dog with garlic cheese curds.

I don't eat hot dogs much but this was delicious. I had a special and don't remember the name, but had hatch chili Mac and cheese and fried onions on the brisket dog. And the garlic cheese curds were awesome.

    Chicago Dog first bite

Hot dogs and sausages are one of my favorite meals. Today I finally made it to Harbor Haute dogs in Port Orchard. They have a nice variety on their menu with 6-7 choices for meat and then another 10-12 choices for toppings. I chose the Chicago style dog with smoked sausage. It was very good. The sausage was crunchy snap when you bite into it, nice smoky flavor and the toppings were fresh, colorful, tasty, and in perfect proportions. I enjoyed the dill relish, onions and peppers the most. The bun was very good although no poppyseeds, and the sprinkle of celery salt helped create a little more of that authentic Chicago Dog taste. I was there during busy lunchtime but it took only 5-10 minutes from time I ordered until I was eating. I sat inside and enjoyed the chatter of many satisfied and returning customers. I would like to return and try other menu options. The dog was $13 which was very reasonable given the size and tasty toppings. I added a soda, tax, and tip and was out the door for about $18.50. Sure you can get cheaper dogs but you get what you pay for, and this was a great meal.

Hot dogs were delicious and reasonably priced for the quality. Service staff was VERY pleasant. Only knock is $2.50 for a can of soda, but gotta support small businesses, am I right?

So yummy. I love that you can pick the type of hot dog you want and the toppings were super fresh. I look forward to returning and trying another one!

    Rangoon and Summer teaser dogs

A hot dog is just a hot dog, until you come here. The creativity that they use to combine simple ingredients to make something so unique and, surprisingly, delicious is amazing. The Summer dog with the blackberry drizzle with the wanton crisps and the cream cheese was very interestingly delicious! And the Rangoon is one of my favorites. The service is fast, and the owners are absolutely sweet and professional. The way that everyone works, keeps the place running efficiently.

The space is small but they still had a few tables on one side of their shop. The other side is where you order ice cream and actual food. For this trip, we ordered ice cream. We decided on the flight, which was three flavors and was worth the price of $8 because of the amount and it was really good. The flavors we got were chocolate mint (it was minty but not fake minty), banana cream (appreciated that it didn't taste artificial) and some berry vanilla flavor (I forgot what it was called but it was light in flavor). The consistency of the ice cream was smooth and each flavor was nice and light - which I appreciated. And when i say light, the flavors were not overwhelming. We really liked it a lot. Oh and the first topping was free and we got m&m's. The workers were also very nice and knowledgeable about the ice cream. Great place to just sit and enjoy the day. If we were hungry, we would probably have tried their savory items such as their nachos and their pretzels. Overall, we would definitely go back if we were in the area again since it was great value and delicious ice cream.

We got the nutty caramel in a cup instead of in a waffle cone bowl. The service is fairly quick considering there's only one server who also serves as the cashier.

Then I happened to be channel surfing and caught Cafe Kai featured on KING5 Evening on 1/13/26. The Homie and I made sure to stop by after driving around from I-5 South/Hwy 16 and across the Manette Bridge on 1/15/26 to Cafe Kai's new, bigger location. No more drive through window and tiny retail spot. Bremerton's Manette neighborhood has become a destination detour with Saboteur Bakery, Vim & Vigor, and now Cafe Kai! Their new location is located at the corner of 11th and Perry with adjacent street parking. Upon entering, bright interior and sleek, streamlined design. Same welcoming vibe. That day we've been having a progressive eating mindset on our drive from Shoreline, Seattle, Tukwila, and now Bremerton. We had better restraint and bought only two Teriyaki Spam and one Hawaiian Hot Dog musubis, plus a bag of Li Hing gummies. Their menu features several musubis and refreshing beverages. I also enjoyed my brief convo with one of the owners, Jamie Cancel. There's something really welcoming when meeting indie business owners whether from Oahu, Kauai, Maui, the Big Island or on the mainland. It's that genuine sense of ohana or family I've consistently experienced. Musubis were nicely wrapped and piping hot. That day it was sunny and breezy leaving Cafe Kai with the goods. Now if it had been a bit warmer, with sand & surf nearby, wearing Tshirt, shorts, and slippahs with two fisted musubis from Foodland or Pukalani Superette, sigh as I digress in a brief daydream. Delicious ono grindz! Congratulations on the new location and celebrating their ten year milestone this coming summer! Mahalo nui loa!
