Nice upper scale market. The place tends to attract tourists and more trendy type people. The prices there are a little high for me.But I do like to go there and look around when i'm in town. I used to live in Tacoma. And came here often and still do from time to time. Especially during the summer when they're having events. Everything sold there is really high quality, hence the high prices, and the service is top notch. read more

I have been to this "farmers" market twice and maybe I have visited on not the greatest days, but I have never seen any farm vendors let alone fresh produce..etc. There is a lot of vendors selling things like clothing, jewelry, etc. I have seen a lot of food trucks also. It would be nice if there was local farms, produce, eggs, meat, etc. There's far better farmers markets in the area. I would just consider this an outdoor market. read more

Point Ruston Farmers Market - people walking around - Farmers Market Near Me - Tacoma, Washington

Ok so I was like a kid in a candy store finding out that the point Ruston indoor farmers market had finally opened! Tacoma deserved this because driving to pike place is cool but we needed our own and we now finally have it. And not to be basis or anything because like place market is part of Washington culture but this point Ruston farmers market has the potential to be its own pike place and bonus it doesn't have a ton of trash all around, stench and just is 10x cleaner. But I love a good farmers market and here you can find everything from crafts to produce, meats, flowers, just speciality foods and so much more. It was so fun to see. I'm a huge bagel baker so I had to stop at the Seattle baking bakery stand because they had a ton of cream cheeses and so much more. Then another stand that caught my eye was the fresh cheese stand. Bathrooms here were spotless as well. There is a 2 hour free parking which almost isn't enough because there's also the waterfront and a playground for kids and tons of restaurants and other stores nearby. But you can pay for additional time. Some stands did seem a bit overpriced but you have to remember they have to pay a huge fee to be able to sell here so it's understandable. It wasn't overly crowded and I just can't wait to go back and explore some more. read more

Point Ruston Owners Association's RACIST order to stop selling any Mexican food at their market is dangerous and divisive to our community. Since when is a farmers market where friendly vendors are longing for sales and community going to suddenly get selective about who can sit with them while folks culturally appropriate craft and art styles of amazing cultures that aren't their own? We don't get mad, we support and commend people for trying and keep returning to these farmers market to feel like we're apart of the community. I've never heard of a Farmers Market being hateful. Now they're saying it was to protect the brick and mortar taco stand they already have there. The statement they put out said they will discontinue sales of "any Style of Mexican food" and that statement alone sounds questionable. Whatever the excuse is today, If a better Mexican food stand wants to come sell, let them! I will gladly try all the Mexican food stands there. Competition is the name of the food game and we're here to try it all not the same stand every year. I get it, loyalty is somewhat important, but not at a farmers market where new and upcoming talent should be displayed. read more

The farmers market is open on Sundays during the warmer months. This is the market outside in the plaza and shouldn't be confused with the public market, which is open everyday and in easy walking distance of the farmers market --it's kinda like getting 2 for 1! This market is a bit on the smaller side compared to the others I go to, but they have a lot of great vendors here to choose from and I very rarely leave empty handed. You definitely can't argue with the location! Great place to get some walking in along the waterfront and support some local businesses. read more

So many great local vendors here! Everyone we spoke to was so nice and appreciative of us supporting their small businesses. We ended up buying multi flavored cashews, bee pollen, honey getting oysters, kettle corn, and grapes. I love that this is indoors so you're out of the elements on those rainy PNW days. Looking. Point Ruston Farmers Market - Some of the goods - Farmers Market Near Me - Tacoma, Washington

I'm so glad I finally made it to the Point Ruston Public Market! I know it's been around a little while and I don't make it to this neighborhood much but this market could very well to prompt me to come more often. The market is relatively small but it looks like the finishing touches are yet to come and I'm actually okay with the small size because it doesn't make it overwhelming. We bought from several vendors here. We bought a bottle of cider from a cider company we had yet to try from prior adventures, very happy to see Black Fleet Brewing have a space there! We also bought several oatmeal cookies from the cookie vendor and Ghost Pepper peanuts from the peanut vendor. I realized I can't handle spicy food as much as I once could but the peanuts were fantastic nevertheless. There is a butcher and meat vendor there as well which looks amazing and I'm eager to return to buy some of their products! There is also arts, crafts and home decor from other vendors here as well which was intriguing and lots of fun. I look forward to when the market building gets fully developed but already at this stage it is very promising! read more

Super cute! We were looking for something family friendly on a Saturday and came across Point Ruston Farmers Market. We were excited to see all of the different vendors and shop locally. When we arrived parking was very easy and the gilding looks extremely large. Upon entering I would say there was no more than 15-20 vendors. 2/3 of the space here is not being used and a lot of the vendors and options listed are not there or were not there on the weekend. We were in and out as well as purchasing from three places on les than twenty minutes. The area is beautiful, but the market was dead. I would visit some of the other local weekly farmers markets next time before heading back here. read more

A newer market in a beautiful building. Prices are a bit higher than average and it looks smaller on the inside than outside. But overall I loved the look and the vendor selection for what it is. read more

Had so much fun at this market... We did some wine tasting and went home with some really yummy organic wines....We also bought freshly made, low sugar, jelly while we were there... There were fresh flowers like you see at the Pike Place Market in Seattle too! Parking was easy and there are a ton of lunch options... We really enjoyed ourselves here! read more

I am excited for this to fully open. Right now it is partially open due to covid. The prices are very high and the selections are just ok. There is a meat shop that I can't remember the name of that was fantastic and very informative. Many of the shops are similar though. Candy/sweets/baked goods, homemade "lush" style booths are prevalent. But that is kinda standard at farmers markets. read more
