I would like to say that this is a lil pub restaurant that really serves LOCALS!! FAR ROCKAWAY ONLY!! lol I'm not from the neighborhood but wanted to get a quick lunch but that's 1st mistake! The moment I walk in and I get seated at the bar as I wanted .... Bartender saw me and welcomed me only then to CUT HIMSELF off as a couple of local old guys were there and he just left me to go serve them!! Then I waited and thought once he is done with them I'll order WRONGGGG... mistake 2.... He proceeded to see me but then NOT see me as he walks past me to then serve ANOTHER LOCAL OLD MAN!! I was getting tried of trying to get this male bartender attention who CLEARLY made EVERYONE and cleaning the bar MORE important than me trying to order!! This whole time I was nice, and super polite.... Till I got curt and finally I got his attention and said "can I order now?!?" Only for him to give me this look of "whatever" face and said a waitress will take my order which he took an awhile to get. I don't know why he couldn't take my order SINCE IM AT THE BAR!! But ok.... I try to smile but my patience running thin as it's 15mins I still haven't order. I FINALLY get a drink! The waitress was nice but not present, you can tell it just -tell me so I can leave, vs making me feel welcomed and had all the time for me. I ordered a burger and fries nothing special. The waitress didn't check on me during my meal and only asks when I was finished and was asking for a check. I tipped low for low service! I was a waitress and a bartender so I DONT PLAY!! If you have SHIT SERVICE THEN YOU DONT DESERVE A TIP!! The audacity that people think they can do a HORRIBLE job and get rewarded for that!! NOOO you get a TIP FOR GOOD SERVICE!! That literally the meaning of a tip!! I usually take pictures but I was so disappointed in the service... and the food was basic... that wasn't even worth taking pictures!!! ONLY GO HERE IF YOUR A LOCAL OR AN OLD WHITE MAN!! Bc that's who got the great service ... I have been to many bars in America and in Europe but this one I WILL NEVER go back! To be ignored and treated like an afterthought! NO THANKS other places can have my money bc they actually know how to treat a customer!

One of the best places to have a great burger in Rockaway Beach. This establishment has been open and transition several times. Reestablishing itself post hurricane Sandy took a very long time. Food is dependable, fish and chips. Great burgers, steaks, pastas . Tuesday night there's two for one special on burgers. Dining room is separate from the bar, which can get very noisy because they always have sports on. I prefer a quiet room. Service and staff are friendly and accommodating. This is one of my go to in Rockaway.

Fried shrimp. Almost forgot to take pictures. We were hungry. So, this was already somewhat eaten.

Came for New Years Day Lunch with my mom. We ordered French onion soup & shrimp cocktail to start. For our entree we ordered fried shrimp and fish and chips. Also we got an order of manicotti. Everything was very good. The atmosphere and staff are very pleasant. The place was packed. SO happy to see the business thriving.

The Harbor Light Pub is definitely a place that is home to many regulars. I was there just once but that's the impression I got. The decor is wood. It feels dated but cozy. The food was good. The salad was fresh. I had bow tie pasta with broccoli, sausage in a cream sauce. My fiancé had chicken noodle soup and steak with fries and creamed spinach. The portions were large. The staff was friendly.

Was in the area and looking for a place to eat. Saw the harbor light pub and it looked really cute with outdoor seating. Decided to give it a try and really glad. This place has good fresh food and fantastic service. Such accommodating nice staff!! Kyle you are awesome!! We had the Cesar salad, fish tacos and garlic bread chicken entree. Also some cocktails that's really great!! Definitely recommend this place.

Service was pretty slow (over 45 minutes between our appetizer and dinner). Food was fine.

Tap That sits on Rockaway Beach Boulevard, a major east-west thoroughfare on the Rockaway Peninsula in Queens, NYC. Rockaway Park, Queens hold nostalgia for me as my now defunct high school sits opposite on this same street. The school is defunct, but the building still exist. I walked the dead end street of my former high school leading to the boardwalk and beach. I patronized Tap That on a very high intense muggy humid late August afternoon. I was hoping the geographic location proximity to the ocean the atmospheric temperature would be cooler, but it was hotter than the blazes of abject hell and damnation. Yelp mobile enable find Tap That, is a beer bar with self-serve taps charged by the ounce, a pub for New American cuisine. The self-serve taps are monitored with a card reader provided that measures the amount of alcohol poured to correctly charge customers. The beer tap card contains step-by-step instructions with sketch drawing depicting how to correctly self-pour. Customer must activate this beer tap card to pour. The server/cashier explain and guide customers the process. Customer service is attentive who take the time for patience without producing the standard rude scowl look of localized nuisance. Ergo, customers are their own bar tender for beer and wine of selection and amount of intake control. The beer selection are: Lager, Guinness Stout - Irish dry, German malts, Belgian ale, New England Pale Ale, IPA - Sour, Stout - Imperial, and cider semi sweet. Wine selection and cocktail for self-serve taps are: Sparkling Rosé, Red Blend, White Blend, Red Sangria, and Lime Margarita. I am grateful the alcohol self-serve tap selection includes wine and Margarita for inclusion. My brain is biased toward "on the tap" concept for beer. Glasses are available for self-serve of pilsner beer glass, wine tumbler glass, and standard beverage glass. The wall label displays the drink name with ABV range, and geographic region origin. There is a large outdoor patio. There are large windows which a staff member opened, disappointedly escaping the cool indoor air conditioning allowing the muggy high humidity to blanket the bar. I felt very uncomfortably warm while sitting at a high chair of a small high table. My table contained a pack of cards. My desiderium is to absorb the coolness of indoor air conditioning. A credit card is required to open a tab is mandatory as "incremental pre-authorization" before the self pour begin and before any food can be ordered preventing customers to intentional skip the bill. This business practice, is possibly, to prevent another infamous NYC self-styled food influencer "dine-and-dash diva," as late 2025 for ordering expensive meals at select targeted locations of upscale New York City restaurants who deliberately refusing to pay the bill. There is a undisclosed mandatory credit card surcharge 3.00% affixed to the bill upon payment which is utterly frivolous. At each table contains card or board games to keep customers entertained. There is live music for entertainment on select evenings. Decorum is simple with low hanging warm yellow string lighting. C.T. style lobster roll $35.00 Yelpers praised the lobster roll which I have never had and never tried despite of reading this concoction which originated Milford, Connecticut. It was served warm, freshly shucked lobster meat immersed in melted butter on a top split New England bun. Wow! This concoction is a localized North American dish. I have a strong proclivity for Connecticut lobster roll as I prefer warm and butter than Maine serves the lobster cold and mixed with mayonnaise. It was served with a small bag of Cape Cod kettle cooked potato chips. The lobster roll was very good, however, I did not have any prior knowledge of the average extortionate price. Oh! One Connecticut lobster roll market average prices typically range from $25.00 to $35.00 for standard sizes which now I am fully acutely aware. One's food taste and predilection lifestyle interest exceeds the wallet for finances as aesthete and joie de vivre. Jam'n Red Sangria, Rioja, Spain, ABV 12.5% I have self poured on the tap less than .25 ounce and was charged $4.50. My pour was good taste. I did enjoyed this Sangria. I am NOT an alcoholic as many people were mislead to believe or erroneously to think as one's preceived false belief. Business cards are available for grabs upon request only. Business cards appeared to be printed on three (3) cardstocks to be 170 lb. thickness for weight. Tap That features a donkey as their business logo. Free WiFi is available at "Stop Waiting Start Pouring" without password required. I did obtain my sales receipt. Restroom facility is relatively clean. Menu is obtained by the nuisance of QR scan code.

Me and my mom came here and honestly we were pretty disappointed with the food and service overall…read more The atmosphere is casual but more on the side of polished casual. Its very lively. We started with the lobster mac and cheese, and it was just okay. Maybe a 4/10 at best. It was a loose mac and cheese and very cheesy but lacked an appropriate amount of salt. It wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't anything I'd go back for. Now the crispy tuna rice, SO GOOD! 10/10. That was easily the standout of my meal. The tuna was the fresh and firm, the crispy rice was crispy throughout, the soy sauce glaze was perfect. The whole thing just worked. Out of everything we ordered, this was the one thing I would absolutely get again. We also got the crab pasta, and this was probably the biggest disappointment. It was very bland and seriously lacked seasoning. The portions were also... off. By off, I mean small. My mother had received a bigger portion of pasta than me. When we pointed it out to the server, they mentioned that my mother got an inappropriate portion, meaning that hers was bigger then it was suppose to be. For the price, I expected more. The service didn't really help either. The wait staff was pretty dry, and overall the experience just felt a little underwhelming. Even the drinks were hit-or-miss. The coffee martini was actually really good, but just a heads up, it is on the sweeter side and apparently comes from a box/pre-made. I personally liked it, but if you don't like a sweet coffee martini, this is probably not going to be for you. We ended with the skillet cookie and ice cream, which was a nice way to finish, but by that point we were still pretty disappointed with the overall meal and dining experience. What really validated our experience, though, was hearing the table next to us say pretty much the same thing about their food. So it wasn't just us. The food overall felt lackluster, the preparation left a lot to be desired, and seasoning was definitely an issue across most of what we ordered. I would soley come back for the crispy tuna rice. Everything else? Definitely leaves much to be desired.
