Your staff for CPR & front desk are completely rude. I would spend my money elsewhere.read more

I have been CPR and FirstAid certified three different times over the years from Alpine Fire. The…read morefirst two times they sent out an instructor. He was South African, and a decent instructor. He seemed to ramble a bit, and his stories were usually only slightly related to the topic and more of an opportunity to pat himself on the back. This last time I had Aaron as an instructor. We went to their sight, instead of them coming to us. He was very informative. A great presentation, really knew what he was talking about. Explained everything very well. He told stories from his current job, which is as a fireman in Kind County. He was well prepared, he brought his own great dummies. He was a very informative, charming, polite, useful instructor. I highly recommend him. The only down side was parking. We parked on the street, across from the place. In street parking with out a limit, in front of a little mini-mart. But still street parking. The grumpy owner of the mini-mart was complaining about the people from the class parking in front of his store, I heard him complaining when I stopped in for an iced tea on our break. He went over to Alpine and complained to them and we had to move our cars. I thought it was ridiculous, since it was unmarked or limited street parking. If that hadn't happened I would give them 5 stars. Great instructor, crummy parking, but useful information in the class.

This business changed hands within the last 2-3 years I believe. The young lady who runs it is…read morefantastic. She's serviced the extinguishers on my boat for the last two years and I've found her to be responsive, informative with various regulations and very affordable. She also has a terrific sense of humor! Really a pleasure to do business with.

We scheduled an appt and then the day of the appt went by i never heard from them (no communication). I called the next day and Mike said they had not got to the service making some excuse as being too busy and said they would go that day but then when they did the service also did the fire extinguishers anyway which i had not requested in the first place as I had bought new ones to replace,, Seems the communications with their staff is lacking, as I also got multiple calls on the day of the service from both the female technician and Mike for information that I already provided regarding access and location of the boat. Apparently when they arrived i found later from the boat yard manager that their tech reported my C02 detector was going off, but they never informed of this important event at the time. Trying to figure out if the C02 detector was faulty I had to call Mike several days later to confirm that he said the tech had mentioned this to him - but once again they failed to inform the customer! Then they billed me for the extinguishers i did not request re certified in the first place, and when I called to pay bill discussed with Mike and requested an adjustment then said they would only charge me for the halon , I provided my card but then they overcharged me on my credit card for a greater amount i did not authorize in the phone conversation after we had a clear conversation about the new reduced adjusted charge. At the end of that conversation the phone cut out but did not hear back until I received a text the next day- " sorry for dropping your call,I finally got into better reception. We will re do your invoice in the morning and run your card" This was after they had already overcharged me the previous day according to my credit card company .. When I called to have them credit me for their overcharge, Mike made excuses - said he wasnt familiar with his credit card processing equipment to do the refund and at 9:45 am on a weekday he said he was busy had just got out of the shower, but would "get around to it". Tired of getting the run around I then contacted my credit card company to process a dispute for the overcharge. Finally days later I received this message "I'm sorry that you got charge for the certs on the fire extinguishers,I forgot to tell my grandson, the service tech not to cert them. With me not knowing that he ran your card with the error,.my fault. Our Company has great communication. This mistake is the first time in 40 yrs in doing my business. you should have been a lot more understanding and not so mean over the phone. Please don't call us again. We don't need customers like you." What is also interesting is the tech that called me for info on the day of the service was a women, not a man (grandson). I was never mean - I simply was demanding a refund - and would not accept excuses. This says everything about them, blaming the customer for their lack of professionalism.
