He's been installing water heaters for 20+ years. My husband and I originally wanted a tankless water heater, but Chris took the time to explain the pros and cons. I asked about other options and he explained various hot water tank options. Chris advised a high-recovery 50-gallon water heater alone would likely meet our needs, but we chose to add a mixing valve for even more available hot water. We have not run out of hot water yet, so I'm very happy. The installation took only about 40 minutes, and we couldn't be happier with the service, communication, and professionalism. Normally, I'd be pretty skeptical at that combination, but all of the positive reviews on Yelp convinced me to accept their offer. A few days later, as I write this I'm basking in the warmth of my new heater. The installation was smooth, painless, and well done. Despite some unexpected challenges in the home's design to figure out and overcome, they charged exactly their estimate; there were none of the kind of headaches or scams that one often expects dealing with contractors. They only did the outside and when I asked him about going inside he said that is appliance issue. My husband ended up purchasing brushes on Amazon and cleaned the vent out from inside, which in turn made him have to clean it out from the outside again.
