I have had nothing but great experiences with Palmer Point. Everyone there is friendly and helpful. The service yard is filled with experienced workers and they can handle any need a boater may have. The gas dock is cheap and they honor a $0.10 per gallon discount for BoatUS members. They also have an abundance of different sized boat slips with full amenities (power, water, etc.). I also love that it's family owned! I have nothing bad to say about Palmer Point and would highly recommend them to any of my fellow boaters.

This is a small neighborhood park in the Shippan neighborhood. There's also a municipal marina attached to the park where residents can dock their boats. Overall, it's a nice little park, it would be wonderful if the boardwalk extended further, but there are a number of commercial and industrial properties nearby, so not as much inlet access as there could be. There are a few little bits of history in the park, most notably a monument to the deed of sale for the City. It's not really a destination park, but it's a nice little green space in the city.

Described as a working man's club you will find very capable hands to help out what ever problems you have. While there are often transient slips available they must be arranged with a member first then the Fleet Captain. There is a free pump out slip but limited to 15 minute tie ups. Plenty of inexpensive fuel docks at Palmer Pt Marina and Beacon Point and travelifts available at both.

The club has protected dockage for boats (seasonal slips with a waiting list - transient dockage available ad-hoc) a terrific covered deck overlooking the harbor, a boutique banquet room, outdoor BBQ grill section, and small/non-motorized watersports storage. For local boaters this is a dream facility - however other local families love to join the club to partake in the frequent parties for both adults and children. These parties are all organized, hosted, and run by a volunteer committee of club members. Beyond the facility and the events, the club has been a corner stone of the community for over 30 years and will continue with its mission for generations to come.

I keep my boat at a neighboring marina and reached out for help with my boat's engine. Over the course of a couple months one of their technicians tried several times to solve my problem, and worse told me several times that he had fixed it when the engine clearly was not running right. After seeking another opinion, another mechanic was able to diagnose my problem within an hour and then replace the broken part within an hour as well, and now my boat runs like new. If I hadn't used Safe Harbor for this issue I likely would have saved signficant time and money.
