I wanted to get the hyundai recall stuff done on my 2014 elantra and this was the closest place to my house in Westchester that offered it. It was super easy to make an appointment when it was convenient for me to bring it in. I liked that what they wanted you to do with the car was clearly displayed as soon as I pulled into the parking lot. It's like a valet type situation where I just drove up to the door and they took it from there. I elected to wait for the service to be done and I was directed upstairs. The waiting area is much bigger than I am used to with a bunch of different kinds of seating. They even had a table where I was able to get work done on my ipad. As soon as I checked in on yelp, I noticed the multiple bad reviews and started getting nervous. The multiple bad reviews did provide quite a bit of entertainment for me while I waited for at least 20 minutes. The whole thing took about an hour. I was also pleasantly surprised that they did another warranty thing without me even knowing about it or asking for it. Throughout the experience, all of the staff members I interacted with were courteous and friendly. I am very pleased with the service I received.

When I heard about the new ownership, I was a little hesitant. I just came in for my first service since the change, and I was glad to see the same staff still there -- they're as polite and professional as ever, which is honestly one of the biggest reasons I keep coming back. That said, one thing has changed that disappointed me: they used to send customers next door for a free car wash voucher since they couldn't wash cars on site. Under the new ownership, that's stopped. I was told it's a "transition" while they build out their own car wash, but in the meantime, I'd expect the same level of service customers have always gotten, not a reduction while they get their new setup in place. There are other Hyundai dealerships closer to me, but I've always chosen Tasca because of the experience. This visit has me reconsidering whether I'll keep coming back. If they are cheaping out on such basic things like this makes me worry what else they are cheaping out under the hood.

I noticed a number of reviews with regards to lack of communication while vehicle is in service, especially having a person answer the phone. This appears to have started since Covid. I'm guessing that it is because it seems harder to get good help these days. This is not unique to any dealership or brand. In fact, I have another brand of car that I bring to another dealership. By comparison, this other dealer does not deserve to clean the floors at Stamford Ford. Jeramy was the sale consultant and he was fantastic. From the communication to the final purchasing Jeramy and staff was top notch. When I left the dealership with the transit connect the transmission was giving me a lot of problems. I called Jeramy immediate and he asked me to bring the truck back the same morning. They reviewed the issues with a local Ford dealership and had the transmission rebuilt with a new torque convertor at no charge which was around 5K. I purchase a lot of vans and cars over the years, and I have to say this dealership is top notch with customer service and honestly which is very hard to find in a dealership and sales consultant today. Phil was incredible to deal with. There was no pressure, and he actually listened to my wants and needs. Phil made it possible for me to get the Seltos, in the trim I was most interested in, that fits in my budget. The entire experience here was the best one I have ever encountered at any dealership. As an aside, the color is called Pale Gray, but it looks more like a powder blue, which I love.
