    Drippy oil drain plug from MINI of Fairfield service after oil change!

    If I could leave zero stars I would. Worst service experience of my life. Cara Rizzo's overcharging and excessive upselling ruined my MINI experience. What happened was the car was brought in for a simple routine oil change and I received the car back with a BS list of needed repairs along with a loose positive battery terminal that fried the car's computer and a leaky oil drain plug still steadily dripping oil.... I will take my business elsewhere going forward!

    Overall, my experience with Mini not only made me feel like I was not a priority, but I felt like I was being gaslit. The first experience/appointment where I brought in my vehicle purchased from Carvana seemingly went well (despite the inappropriate conversations from the service workers that was happening out in the open). They at least were informative as far as letting us know what needed to be done with Carvana's insurance department and outlining what was wrong with the vehicle (though I will say some of the things spoken out loud, e.g. something being apparently wrong with the wheel never made it into the written report - shame on me for not double checking prior to leaving). From there, I needed to continuously call, text, and email the Service department requesting they reach out to the insurance company (as is the insurance company's policy) going almost right up to the day where our window of opportunity would have ended. I finally got a response and the parts were ordered. From there, it was a lot more waiting (which I can understand shipping takes time). When I was finally able to drop it off, I was told 3 days max. After texting on the 5th day, the car was coincidentally ready the moment I texted and I was told the wrong part was sent so they needed to get another one (doesn't really jibe with the aforementioned previous shipping timeline, but sure). Upon picking the car up, the Service personnel I had been working with gave us they keys and to our surprise, the trim around the headlight was missing. She walked out with us to review it and we mentioned it was definitely there before we dropped it off (of which I have pictures) and she admitted "yah, that was there - I will have to get back to you when my manager is back". Of course, this led to me needing to follow up endlessly. So I came in on Sept 11 for the work to be done, picked the car up on Sept 16, followed up on the missing part on Sept 20th, 22nd, and once more on Oct 4th when I received a response with a video saying it was missing when I got there. She offered a video which I accepted - the video was from 8:24a (the car was dropped off at 7:30a) and I was told it was impossible that it went missing the car was not even touched or moved until that video was taken (mind you, the car was not parked where I dropped it off). Despite me knowing this, I asked them to confirm that they did in fact just leave my car blocking the pull-through for a full hour before taking the video and they confirmed yes they did (again, not where I parked it). Clearly sensing my frustration and refusal to accept a timeline that makes zero sense, I was told she would speak to the manager tomorrow morning (though they were still open - apparently this manager, Scott, is never there and tends to ignore messages and I can confirm when he actually is present, he is not helpful). Net/Net - was the work done? Yes. Was it done perfectly? No. The door handle still sticks a bit from time to time and some error message came on (and then went away) around when I got it home. At this point, it would be less of a hassle to go elsewhere vs. even trying to work with them on it. Understanding Mini's are few and far between in the area, my advice would be to steer clear of this location if at all possible, unless you are told by your insurance that you NEED to use them. In the latter case, keep those receipts as you will likely need them.

    Let me preface this by saying this was the 5th dealership we went to during THE WORST time ever to purchase a car. We have experienced the worst customer service due to the used car market being on fire, and dealers behaving like the customer owes them, so our expectations were low. I actually contacted the dealership on New Years eve and understandably they were closing early and did not have the vehicle on their lot, but I also didn't get a call back on Monday. I called on Tuesday and thankfully Jeff LaPorte picked up. He was a pleasure from the beginning. He checked to see if the vehicle was on their lot, which it was not, and he verbalized that he will personally bring the vehicle from Stamford to Darien for us to see it. He provided text updates after he picked up the vehicle and when I asked for some pictures, he sent me videos without any question. We made an appointment that same day, and he was completely transparent over the phone, setting expectations, discussed price, dealer fee, sales tax, title and registration, as well as the process I needed to go through to be prepared before arrival. As soon as we arrived, Jeff had a smile on his face, was ready for us to take a test drive and provided his favorite route for the drive. He went above and beyond listening to our concerns and even squeezed us in to complete our transaction before closing time. He actually stayed passed closing time, instead of passing us off to someone else and leaving. While we were waiting, he identified that our car had an automatic starter, and he researched exactly how to operate it. He spent the entire time with us trying to make the process as smooth as possible and it felt like a gift. Honestly, this was the best dealer experience we have had and I would recommend this dealership and Jeff LaPorte over and over again. We need to purchase a car for our son In 2 years, and Jeff will be the first person we get in touch with. Thank you so much Jeff and Mini of Fairfield County!!! You rock.

    Hi, Just wanted to…read morecheck in to update all including the Garavel team. Back in April i dropped off my car again, I was called a week later to be told that they ordered a part. A week passed by and i got another call, they finally got around to reading my review. I was told the following, that because I gave them a negative review I was going to be treated the Same, and they will no longer service my car, seems like a recurring theme there. If they can't resolve your issue and you post a negative review they decide not to deal with you. I posted a photo here of when the call occurred so that if owners are interested in a training opportunity they should use the call as an example for what not to say to a customer. I left a message for Jeremy Garavel back then but never got a call back, nevertheless, I didn't give up neither did Stolantis, the manufacturer, they are professionals unlike the service staff at Garavel Stolantis followed up every week. I brought my car over to Tasca Jeep in Elmsford N.Y. The problem that over two years eluded Garavel was identified and resolved in two weeks by Tasca. Tasca will now get my buisness along with 5 other Jeep vehicles we have in our family. If you are having an issue with service because they can't resolve it call Stolantis and open up a case. They told Stolantis that they couldn't replicate the issue and that is why they turned the car back to me. The service guy told me that it doesn't occur all the time, as to say, why don't you live with it. I'm happy my Jeep is working properly now. I love my wrangler! Wish I had purchased it somewhere else.
