ALRIGHT So guys just hear me out for a second, I promise it's worth it!!!!!!! ‼‼‼ DO NOT GO TO EVAN ELLER ‼‼‼ There are professional and TALENTED artists that work at Harbour Lights. NO DOUBT. Worked with Bird a few times and he is truly amazing and honest. He also keeps it professional with his business transactions. My friend group and I have dropped 1000's collectively at this shop, and referred so many others. So below are just a few messages to explain how we approached Evan with what we were wanting out of this tattoo. As you can see it is in great detail on what that tattoo was desired to look like. KEY PART the most important part for us is that the whole piece was to be incorporated with geometric design or pattern. That's what we wanted to the most and ASKED FOR. Kept stressing that's what we wanted. IN THE MESSAGE SAYS WILLING TO PAY EXTRA FOR PHENOMENAL DETAIL. In the messages you see Evan says alright we will figure it out. Alright SO we get to the tattoo shop, he tells us it will be cut short EVEN though we paid a deposit for this day. But he hurt his back and is in pain so of course we are cool with the new plan for the day. Considering we want our artist to be in top shape and super comfortable so his work will reflect. So below AGAIN is the final product. Now you can clearly see there was no room left for any geometric patterns to be added in the compass rose which is what was requested. He also had no ideas planned so on our appointment, with his hurt back, he traced the compass rose we asked for and that was it. We are thinking, oh he has more designs because he is a professional and obviously knows what we want. Against our better judgement we proceeded with the outline he brought up. Thinking he had a plan. Because our money is our trust, we said we trust you Evan. You're a professional tattoo artist! Well you've seen the final product and what do you think? Doesn't look at all like the CUSTOMER WANTED. We reach out to Evan after the appointment asking if he could fix it. No reply. Then we proceed to write a review to save others, that's the least we can do right? He reaches out RIGHT AWAY of course. Which you also can READ below - HE ADMITS HE HALF ASSED IT AND GAVE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - We go in for a consultation and he gives us something we debate to ourselves if we can work with and like? GIVEN WE WERE DENIED BY 7 ARTISTS, we realized we don't have many options and this might be the best bet. So we make an appointment for Wednesday 9/02/2020. Work says no you can't leave early, so we asked Evan to reschedule. His response below So now he responds with oh can't reschedule unless the HORRIBLE REVIEW is taken down?!!!! Oh and also he proceeds to claim he doesn't care about his HALF ASSED JOB and then called my boyfriend a BITCH. So in conclusion tattoos are permanent and as we all know we need to invest in a talented, professional artist. One day, thought I'd give someone else a shot, and was lucky enough to find Jessica. Now, no one touches my head aside from her. She does an amazing job with my fade, shave, and beard trim. Went in a couple months to get a tongue piercing, the lady was great at her job and tongue healed perfectly so i decided to recommend my boyfriend there to get a dermal. We decide to call the store to see when the piercer was available and i wanted to ask about scheduling a time to come in and he got very temperamental and raised his voice and got attitude about the questions i was asking i guess. He mentioned that he just didn't know and i would just have to basically catch her whenever she's there. Parking may be a hassle and I would highly recommend parking your vehicle across the street while darting through incoming traffic like Frogger making your way up the stairs and through the double doors where you'll be greeted by the owner, Chris Tran, and his friendly laid back staff, before it's time to inflict some pain. The music is blaring and the buzzing noise from the tattoo gun echoes across the entire room. Along the maroon painted walls are collections of eclectic artwork from various friends and cohorts. Since the shop first opened for business, Chris has been working arduously 7 days a week so appointments are highly recommended because he's usually booked up a couple of months in advance. Which is a pretty good indication of just how good this guy is. Give him an idea of what you want and watch him roll with it, adding his own touches. After the stencil is completed, it's time to get inked up! Though he's fast, he's also meticulous with his work. Ensuring everything is done right and that you're completely satisfied. He's the ultimate professional. Very talented yet remains humble while striving to perfect and hone his skills. I recently came in for a 3/4 sleeve with some cover up work and couldn't be more happier with what he's done thus far. No ragrets nah sayin'? I have been watching him on Instagram jealous of all the awesome ink on other people when I decided to break my no more tattoos hiatus and hit Chris up for a tattoo. He custom drew my piece and had a touch or an angel. Literally the sternum so I heard, was suppose to be a rough spot but I could have taken a nap how comfortable I was. The place is clean and well managed. All the artists are very professional and attentive to your individual needs. For someone who has clocked hundreds of hours getting ink done this is one of the few tattoos I know I won't need being fixed or not liking in a few years. Hands down the best tattoo shop in Denver. Chris Tran is an amazing artist and the other guys in the shop do excellent work as well. My wife and I have been getting tattooed by Chris for a number of years and have referred over 10 friends/family members to the shop. Everyone was extremely happy with their tattoos. I've been to other tattoo artists and a few dug too deep or were so heavy handed that I was bruised for a week after getting work done. Chris is light handed, fast and his lines are very crisp. I've taken in exact drawings that I wanted as tats as well as loose ideas for tattoos. My favorite tattoo's are the ones where I gave Chris a concept and let him run with it. He's an artist in the purest sense of the word and now I have unique, vivid art, that is rooted in my ideas, with me forever. That's pretty awesome. The location can be a little tricky, it's easy to drive past the shop as it's nestled on the second floor of a little strip mall, but it's well worth seeking out. A lot of people can be intimidated by tattoo shops and artists but this shop isn't intimidating at all. The shop is super modern, clean and feels very warm. They also have a few barbers that work at the shop. I started seeing Ray Charles and he's the only barber I go to now. He can do classic styles as well as super modern and he takes great care and time to make sure you get the style you want. I have difficult hair to style. Super thin, straight and I have a jagged hairline, yet I leave the shop with great looking hair. I get a lot of compliments from random people about my hair now, something that never happened before. I like to change my do every six months or so and Ray is great at helping me transition from one style to the next. Check this place out, you won't regret it! read more
