    Single Cheeseburger

My daughter frequently requests to get a burger from this food truck outside Ink Factory Brewing and often times, eats 1 then asks for a 2nd because of how much she loves them. The reason I rank it a 3 this most recent time we visited, is because the burgers and fries were a lot saltier than usual. They also did not have the grilled cheese option on the order ahead menu today which was a bummer for my younger daughter as that's her go to. We will chalk it up to an off day and will definitely be back. I appreciated that the employee working was friendly and thanked us for coming out and ordering.

I stopped by because I went to a tasting at the ABC store nearby, and wanted to wait a bit before driving. The burger was tasty, but a tad bit salty for my liking. The service was quick, and the buzzers are convenient. If I go to the ABC store for another tasting, this place will be my dry out spot! There was seating outdoors which was great!

Hard Pressed came to my neighborhood last week for Food Truck Thursday. I have been wanting to try them for so long and definitely hyped them up in my head. I'm happy to report that it was everything I wanted it to be! I love the thinness of the patties and just everything about the burger. The guys were very friendly and the wait was very short. I will definitely be visiting there soon to open brick and mortar location.

I was unfortunately so unimpressed with Hard Pressed and I feel like you can see why in the pictures of food. There was barely any meat in the burger, it was just the crispy burnt remnants. The fries were also unremarkable and nothing to write home about. They were just normal fries with some Parmesan pieces thrown on top. I'm not sure where the "garlic" part is. The only pro is that the people were nice and kind. I'm glad they're busy and popular, they're just not for me personally. I was really hoping for better.

One of the best burgers I've ever had! The employee was so nice, environment so relaxing and the burger so good! Pickles nice and thin, sauce on the burger was so good! 5/5

Smashburgers are my favorite! I was really excited to finally try Hardpressed while at Ink Factory. Hubby placed our order, received a buzzer then picked it up a few minutes later. I went with the single Hardpressed burger and he chose the double Hardpressed burger. We shared a regular order of fries. The burger itself was meaty and cheesy, perfectly balanced with the garlic aioli, pickles and caramelized onions. Salted well, just the right amount of greasiness. The bun soaked up everything well. Hubby really enjoyed his double. The fries were hand-cut and crispy yet still pillowy inside. All in all, Hardpressed is serving up great burgers and fries. Simple menu that's executed well!

Was excited to try their burgers. Ordered two hard pressed burgers, one double patty and the Pressed fries. Overall the flavors were decent but found the patties a little too pressed for my liking. It was just really crunchy. My bf enjoyed it much more than I did. The fries were OK but had too much sauce on it. Enjoyed the jalapeños though. They're set up outside of the sink Factory and has indoor and outdoor seating.

This place is very good. The food is made to order( it's a food truck). Every thing was hot. I enjoyed this meal till the last bite. I will certainly stop by when I'm in the area.

Absolutely delicious smash burgers and fries outside of Ink Factory Brewing! The burgers were perfectly crispy on the edges, juicy inside, and packed with flavor. The fries were golden, crispy, and seasoned just right. Fast service, friendly staff, and a must if you're at Ink Factory! Availability depends on the day.

I tried Hard Pressed foodtruck a few months back. I was at Jax Beach and did a search on Yelp and found they were close by. They are located in the parking lot of Ink Factory Brewing. I waited to order about 10 minutes. It was a busy Friday night, so the wait time for my food was about 20-30 minutes. It was worth the wait! I ate in my car as I didn't want the food to get cold lol. I had a single cheeseburger with everything and fries with beer cheese. The burger was so juicy and flavorful! I don't know what kind of seasoning they used, but it was on point. And I liked how they put the bun on the grill. The fries were hot and deliscious. I don't typically order fries, but I'm so glad I ordered on this occasion. I usually dip in ketchup, but I highly recommend the beer cheese. Even with the long wait, I will absolutely go back to Hard Pressed again soon!

If you haven't tried Hard Pressed Burger yet, you are missing out on the best burger in Jax. The smash burgers are a special blend of short rib and brisket smashed into caramelized onions, topped with American cheese plus their amazing house pickles and garlic aioli. Every flavor works perfectly together to create delicious bites. I love pairing my double with their garlic parm fries, or skipping fries and getting the triple. They do pop ups around town but we are lucky to have them permanently posted at Ink Factory Brewing Th-Sun of each week. You can grab a seat and a beer inside IFB while waiting on your HPB order. It's the perfect setup!

You can also make any of the burgers using Beyond Meat! We ordered: +the Mercury - made with 2 patties of grass-fed halal beef, yellow American cheese, caramelized onions, crunchy potatoes, Galaxy sauce, Rocket Sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions on a potato bun +Cosmic Fries - shoestring fries with house seasoning and Parmesan, served with a side of Cosmic sauce The burgers were described as 'smashburgers', so the patties were cooked all the way through (which I prefer!); the burger itself was actually okay, but there was something in there that made it taste slightly off - either it was the caramelized onions, the Galaxy sauce, or the Rocket sauce, there was something that was a bit too sugary/sweet; I think without this element, the burger would have been better! Maybe I'd ask for the sauces to be served on the side. The fries were okay - they did fill the styrofoam box to the brim and was generous in serving two cups of the Cosmic sauce; I think these could have been dropped fresh, as when we received them, they seemed as if they were prepared in advance and was sitting for a bit. Service was super friendly and welcoming! It's located off of Zetts, just down from Touchless Car Wash; note that this area can get jampacked and backed up on the weekends where everyone is trying to get their vehicle washed! I ordered online for takeout and got the Mercury combo (Mercury burger & cosmic fries) for 15$ and the Venus wings for 135. The mercury burger was by far my favorite item I had but i was expecting that it would be a little bigger with the price tag but I ain't mad at it, it was still a great burger nonetheless. The cosmic fries were below average and that could stem from the way the fries are made (shoestring style) but even then the seasoning on it was nothing special. The cosmic fries came with a cosmic sauce that was great and was a perfect addition to the burger. The Venus wings were solic with pretty good texture but ridiculously overpriced with a price tag of 13$ for 5 wings which is a scam, if you charging 15$ for wings they gotta be the best wings ever (they weren't). The Buffalo sauce that comes with the wings was definitely hot and the bba and ranch were decent. All in all, it's a solid spot that ! could see myself coming back to for their Mercury burger.

The parking lot was empty and the bar patrons scarce and scattered among the very large bar. We were followed in by a single guy who sat 3 bar seats from us. There sat and sat and sat and.. oh don't worry but there is a bartender but she is busy very busy .. leaning over the bar chatting with her friends and ignoring the other side of the bar. After about 10+ minutes I decided to interrupt "Amy". (aka "The Bartender") As I was leaving to interrupt Amy the single guy ask " is there anyone that works here? Amy's response I didn't see you (snotty). I did advise her it was a good idea to work the bar. Service from Amy to myself and the show bake guy continued to be sparse. But we did get food. I ordered their zucchini fries which is always served with a delicious dipping sauce. Mine came with none. I had eaten half my burger and the single gut was well into his meal before Amy approached us. I needed sauce and he needed Ranch. Oh my goodness what an imposition. We did get our request as our empty beer glasses sat pushed forward. Finally another beer. Honestly I was so excited to find that a new partnership had reinvented Graffiti. I did meet the new owner early on. It is apparent that the service and attitude has slipped back to their old ways. I hope Amy caught up with all her friends as my zucchini fries and the single guys fries grew cold. Cheers to the chefs the burgers were great! Service hold a great weight on my stars. Rest assured these all go to the kitchen as the service was absent!

The only part of the meal that wasn't delicious were the fries, they were warm and not seasoned very well. Definitely recommend the tots, they were great! Another plus was that our server was very friendly and helpful, although he seemed to be having to cover for much of the rest of the staff. At a glance, the restaurant didn't seem understaffed, but they struggled to keep up even when multiple tables had emptied out. The bar and kitchen were struggling, too -- we had multiple issues with wrong items being served, and it took a surprisingly long time to get our food (even with giving a lot of grace for us being a party of 10). Dinner was 2.5 hours without dessert (with the exception of the small, complementary dessert they brought the birthday celebrant). The food was fine but nothing spectacular, and it felt overpriced. I ordered a cup of tomato bisque, which was decent, and a trio of sides for my main course: the Boursin orzo, Brussels sprouts, and pecan green beans. The orzo was pretty tasty, and the Brussels sprouts were quite nice with dried cherries mixed in. Both leaned a bit too salty but not terribly so. The green beans were a total miss: no flavor and arrived room temperature. The server ensured I wasn't charged for them. To drink, I ordered an ube piña colada (which was not strong but was tasty) and a glass of house white. My total for soup, two sides, one cocktail, and one glass of wine was nearly $80 with the 20% automatic large party gratuity included. I don't mind the tip inclusion, but I feel like I paid a hefty amount for food that didn't match the price tag. I'll also note that they have introduced a surcharge for paying by credit card. I really hope they get things sorted out; it sounded like a lot of new staff in place which hopefully means higher aspirations rather than high turnover. It's a beautiful spot.

Some restaurants announce themselves…read more Others make you work a little to find them. RP's Fine Food & Dining in Jacksonville Beach is one of those places. It's easy to miss, tucked away next to the dispensary just before you get there. (And yes, the maps may tell you otherwise.) But sometimes the places that take a little searching are the ones worth remembering. I ordered the fried grit cakes--two generous, golden cakes--topped with shrimp and Tasso gravy. Eight perfectly cooked shrimp, which, if you know anything about eating seafood at the beach, is no small accomplishment. Shrimp can go from tender to rubber in the blink of an eye. These were just right. But the gravy... That was the star. Savory. Creamy. Deep with flavor. It didn't simply sit on top of the grit cakes; it brought the whole dish together, elevating every bite. And I was grateful for the spoon they served with it, because leaving even a drop of that gravy behind would have felt like a waste. There are meals you eat because you're hungry. And then there are meals you remember because, for a little while, everything on the plate just made sense. This was one of those meals. I'll definitely be back.

I wanted something simple, so I ordered blueberry pancakes with bacon and eggs. Pancakes are one of those things I'm happy to leave to professionals because I'm terrible at making them myself. RP's delivered. The short stack had crisp edges, a tender middle, and pockets of warm, sweet blueberries throughout. Nothing complicated, just a very good pancake. My wife ordered the showstopper, two fried grit cakes topped with sautéed shrimp, Parmesan, and Tasso ham gravy. The spoon they provide is not decorative. You are going to need it. The gravy was deep and savory with just enough heat, with bits of Tasso ham mingling with perfectly cooked shrimp. The grit cakes brought a crisp exterior and creamy center. Get a little grit cake, some gravy, and a shrimp on the same spoon and you have one of those bites that makes you stop talking for a second. RP's feels like the kind of place beach locals know about and visitors eventually discover. My first visit was for brunch, but if lunch and dinner are this good, I suspect this won't be my last. A good neighborhood brunch spot is worth remembering. I'm glad RP's finally made it onto my list.
