7/11/26: I decided to give Hard Rock Cafe in Atlantic City another try, and I have to say our server, Porscha, was amazing! She was attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down. Unfortunately, the kitchen was extremely slow. It took about 50 minutes for our food to arrive. My sister ordered the Ribeye steak cooked medium, another sister ordered a burger, and I ordered breakfast. It seemed like my sister's steak sat waiting for my breakfast order to be finished because by the time it reached the table, it was only lukewarm. She doesn't like sending food back, so she ate it, but she described it as being cooked correctly, just served cold. The service from Porscha was excellent, but the long wait and the temperature of the steak were disappointing. I would come back for breakfast, but I would skip ordering the steak next time. read more

This morning we waited 25 minutes for a table but dealt with it since we were hungry for omelettes. Sat in the Center Bar lounge and met with the smiling server Jennifer who took our order. About a 20 minute wait for the food but the omelette was cooked perfectly, my fault not asking for the bacon crispy. Live bands play on stage while you eat after 8pm on the weekends. I'm not sure what was happening in the kitchen that night, but my best guess is that the staff was playing a restaurant-themed version of "Let's See How Many Orders We Can Get Wrong." To be fair, it wasn't all bad. The Caesar salad, sweet and tangy chicken wings, and macaroni and cheese were all actually good. Those three items are the reason this review gets two stars instead of one. Unfortunately, almost everything else turned the evening into a culinary scavenger hunt. We started with cocktails: a Smoked Old Fashioned, Spicy Mango Mojito, Classic Caribbean Mojito, and Blackberry Sparkling Sangria. Every single one was disappointing. We couldn't finish even half of any of them, sent the Classic Caribbean Mojito back, and exchanged it for a beer. Before the correct mojito arrived, I was also handed a margarita. Apparently, my drink order had entered witness protection. Then came the nachos. We specifically requested no green onions. They arrived with green onions. At that point, it became clear that our requests were being treated less like instructions and more like creative suggestions. Then came my steak. I ordered a Cowboy Ribeye, cooked medium, with an extra side of macaroni and cheese for my wife and me to share. What arrived? A New York strip. Not a ribeye. Not even close. Just a completely different steak, apparently selected by someone spinning a wheel. I sent it back. They also brought double mashed potatoes instead of the macaroni and cheese. Then, at some completely random point during this ongoing adventure, both the original and a second side of macaroni and cheese just appeared at our table. We didn't order it. We weren't expecting it. We had no idea why it was there. But honestly, at that point we just accepted it because it was actually edible. Eventually, the correct ribeye arrived. Unfortunately, "medium" apparently meant "warm up the cow just enough to make it nervous." The steak was so rare it still had a pulse. It looked less like a cooked entrée and more like a cow waiting for its table. Words really don't do this portion of our experience any justice. Needless to say, I didn't take a single bite and asked for the manager. To his credit, the manager took one look at the steak, grabbed it, and headed toward the kitchen. I assume he went back to explain that a steak generally needs more than a brief motivational conversation with the grill. He returned and asked if I wanted another one. At that point, I was done. I told him I was ready to leave and eat somewhere else. He offered to comp half the bill, excluding the steak. I agreed, mostly because I was hungry, frustrated, and ready to escape the evening's ongoing episode of "Whose Order Is It Anyway?" Then the bill arrived. The steak was still on it. They applied a $100 "guest comp," but with the steak still included, it did not actually equal the promised 50% discount. It was about $6 short. Is $6 a life-changing amount? No. But after everything else, it was a remarkably comical finale. So, to recap: Good Caesar salad Good sweet and tangy wings Good macaroni and cheese Four cocktails we could barely drink Mystery margarita Green onions we specifically asked them to leave off Wrong steak Wrong sides Random bonus macaroni that nobody ordered Ribeye that still had a pulse Promised 50% comp that wasn't actually 50% We also weren't the only guests complaining in the dining room that night, which was comforting in the same way it's comforting to see other people running from a building. Mistakes happen. But when nearly every part of the meal goes wrong, it stops feeling like an off night and starts feeling like the restaurant's signature experience. The Caesar, wings, and mac & cheese earned the two stars. Everything else earned a trip to another restaurant. I wish I would have taken pictures. I'm not an experienced Yelp reviewer, but this was the worst dining experience I've ever had so it felt necessary. Save your time, money, energy, and appetite. There are more fun ways to gamble Atlantic City than on your dinner. read more

Piece of advice for any business, don't ignore your customer. No matter the situation, whether it be at initial contact or when following up with them afterwards. It just doesn't look good on you and you probably should just not do it. With that, strap in and listen up about this location. After arriving in AC I decided to get some food. I knew there was going to be a Hard Rock here so I made it a point to make a stop. I also had a coupon to use and figured this would be a great place to stop in to use it. I made the long walk down the boardwalk to here and inside. I went to the host stand and was greeted immediately. The hostess looked a little frazzled, but started the process to get me to a seat. After confirming I was dining alone she asked if I wanted to sit at the bar or the rail. After my last experience with this company, I immediately chose the option that was not the bar. However, I immediately regretted this decision. See as I said the rail was fine a server was telling the hostess that it wouldn't be a good idea. Almost as if they didn't care that I was standing there the server told the hostess that no one was scheduled to take that section. The hostess still sat me there. Menu in hand, I was left to it. I bet you are wondering why I believe I was ignored. Well, as I was sat at the rail, by myself, a couple approached the rail and sat down as well. They literally came in from the casino floor, sat themselves, and were immediately approached and served. With the amount of time it took for that to happen, I was able to already have my selection done. But still, no one approached. The server that approached the couple had already returned with drinks and took their food order. While that was happening I kept sweeping the floor to find any other employee to address the fact that no one had come to me yet. I had seen the hostess scurrying about and every time I attempted to get her attention she was gone, or at one of the many stations throughout the floor. Between ten to fifteen minutes in, I had enough of waiting. I made my way back over to the host stand and was about to ask to be sat at a table. When I approached the stand, it was another employee manning it. He scurried away, as I turned around to see where he had gone to the server that ignored me was right behind me in the elevated section. Almost like to ambush me to tell me that she was coming to me next. With some skepticism I looked at her, because she was not in fact coming to me, I said, "I'd rather not dine at a place where I'm going to be ignored." Handed her the menus and walked out. I immediately called their customer service line. Was bounced around, put on wait, and hung up on. I call back and before they can bounce me I let them know what happened. Two days later the follow up. After I have left the area. I kid you not, the manager asked me if I was still in the area, when I told him no, he said the following. "Well if you were in the area I was going to invite you back to the location and offer you a comped meal. But if you are not in the area, all I can offer you is an apology." Like they didn't care about the fact that they messed up, completely ignoring a customer seems to be the norm to them. This is the second time this has happened to me at two different locations. A little stunned at his nonchalant response I almost laughed. When I told him I was not going to be making a special trip back to AC, he tried to make a plea that he would find a remedy for another location elsewhere. Never called back after that, like he thought the apology was enough to remedy the situation. Maybe the lesson I should learn from all this is to ask for a table. Or maybe just stick to the gift shop area. Get it together Hard Rock, maybe this is why locations are shutting down. read more

We were feeling nostalgic and decided to head to HRC for dinner. Boy what a disappointment. We waited about 20 mins for a table(not bad). Then the hostess brought us back to a table and said zero words to us- literally zero. We just assumed to follow her. Our server was Ivan and he was sweet and none of this was his fault but this was the worst meal/experience I've had in a long time. For starters- they no longer have a kids menu. So have fun ordering a $20 burger for your kid who'll only eat half of it. My dad ordered the Original Legend burger which is supposed to have an onion ring on it. When I tell you they gave him the smallest onion ring they could find. My mom's salmon was cooked great but served cold. We were told the vegetable of the day was broccoli only to be served bland green beans. The nachos were fine and the best part was the lime sauce but they were by no means anything special. The place was just like any other HRC, music, sports, etc. All to say the experience nor the food was worth $100. What used to be our favorite restaurant to stop by in every city is now the worst part of our trip. So over priced. Our meal was worth about $60. read more

Food always hits the spot here. It's located in the casino, I think it's usually packed because one of the few places that takes any food vouchers receipts on top of free play. The drinks are strong, the food is filling. If you come here late night they usually have a band rocking out. Highly recommend this place, but pro tip check your comps at a near by kiosk because chances are you might be rewarded to eat here! Drinks - ordered vodka club with splash of lemonade, I was informed they only have strawberry lemonade and to a nice surprise even had some strawberry pieces- it was great. Food is pretty much what you would expect out of going here. I was pleasantly surprised I enjoyed the grilled chicken sandwich with onion rings which were cooked to perfect crisp waiting to be dipped in ranch. I had the slowest service here, which was especially frustrating because when people stop at a place like this for fast food, it's usually for something quick and convenient not a drawn-out dining experience. If I wanted that, I'd go to a sit-down restaurant. That said, my chicken sandwich was delicious. I ordered it with a side salad but received the wrong kind of lettuce. Our waitress, Quashirah, was incredibly sweet, polite, and did her best to fix the mistake not once, but twice. Unfortunately, the kitchen kept sending out the same incorrect salad, and she was too busy to even let us know what was going on. She was truly a bright spot in a kind of otherwise disappointing experience. The outdoor seating area is way too dark, we had to use our phones just to see what we were eating. Despite having a large staff on hand and the restaurant not being at full capacity (inside or out), the service was still very slow. On top of that, our food took way too long to arrive, and even getting the check was a slow process. That said, our waitress was the saving grace of the visit, attentive, polite, and trying her best despite the kitchen's missteps. She's the only reason I'm even giving this review. read more

We have broken out of our mold of ordering the Classic Nachos although they are very good and we did have them just the night before. Our server was a young man who had met five or six months previously when he was brand new. Now he was relaxed, joking with the other employees, and just being his genuine friendly self. On this night we sat at a table that was kind of on the way to the bathroom. They asked if a table would be okay, and we have said sure why not? But this table was a little uncomfortable because of where it was. The night before we asked for one of the big round tables that overlooks the casino floor, and although they were hesitant to place just two people at such a table, they fulfilled our wish. Service was nice as well; our server checked in the right amount and was very friendly. As a tip, the Hard Rock Cafe celebrates birthdays! There were a couple of parties celebrating birthdays, so the staff makes an announcement and has the entire restaurant shout "Happy Birthday!!" Stopped here for a snack before our concert. We were seated and ordered drinks and a flatbread. The drinks took a while but the food was pretty quick. The flatbread was tasty. I dined with a party of 10, all over the age of 40, and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Our server, Wayne, was extremely rude from the moment we were seated and seemed to stereotype our group. One member of our party, a veteran dining with other veterans, asked about a military discount. When he showed his ID, the server questioned its authenticity and said he needed to verify if it was real, which felt unnecessary and disrespectful. When it was time to pay, we were still eating, yet the server stood uncomfortably close between my friend and her husband, waiting for payment instead of giving us space to finish. We also noticed he did not treat other tables this way, which made the situation feel even more inappropriate. Overall, the service was unprofessional and made our group feel singled out. We waited 40 minutes to get our food (two orders of steak and shrimp fajitas and one hanburger) and only saw our server 2 times. The steak was under 3 ounces, only 4 shrimp, and the onions/peppers undercooked. My daughter's hamburger was barely put together and flat as a pancake. I wont be spending anymore money at this restaurant go forward. Please do better if your are going to charge $30 for fajitas that are barely a meal. read more
