Interesting concept... Arrived and got a table immediately. Ordered a Ruben, the portion was great. The ambiance felt like some kind of weird taco stand vibes, but with lunch food. The restaurant serves everything on paper plates, plastic silverware, and paper cups. Not really the vibe I was expecting. Felt like a picnic. Food was okay, portions were large .

This picture amounts to about $40 worth of our breakfast.

What a scam!!!! 4 of us ate four breakfast plates. The three in this picture and one more the final cost $100!!! If you take a close look you will see the meal is served with paper cups and plates! South Korea all the way to Prague. I've never had to pay $25 per person to eat off of paper plates. One thing they don't tell you is that any bill over $40 automatically includes a $25% tip. It didn't matter that the waiter only came to the table to take our order and drop off the food. We had to get his attention just to ask for the ticket.

No service 11am on a Monday.the hash, bacon, and home fries were all just not tasty. No crisp on the hash, soggy bacon, bad service. Other food may be good , I'll never return.

So, Im not thrilled about eating off of paper plates when dining out, but - hey - it probably saves them money. We had breakfast today - really good and hot pancakes (more like flap jacks), scrambled eggs, and an omelette, home fries, and toast. All very good!

This is an excellent diner in a world of mediocre diners. It is not excellent because of the atmosphere even though the atmosphere is very nice but they just serve good food at a good price with great service. My wife and I as we celebrated our 49th anniversary together. We're looking for a simple place just to have some breakfast and this just really fit the bill. It was some of the best breakfast I have had in a very long time. I so appreciate the owners and the waitress, all bending over backwards to make sure that we had a good meal.

While in AC, why not find a random place to eat on the boardwalk to have an experience? Well, that's what I did for My Friends Diner. The look of this place isn't the best, but that's a part of the nostalgia for me visiting AC. It's definitely a "hole in the wall" type of atmosphere, not in a bad way. Sat at the counter area where I could see the cooks. The guys working here were quick as they could be and friendly. I ordered one of my safe go-to meals, shrimp basket w/a side of cheese whiz (unfortunately they did not offer other types of cheese fries). The food was decent.

The food was delicious, a regular diner place. The service was quick and attentive. Looks like a typical diner inside. Tip already included on the check (18%). Went there early on a weekday and was one of the few places that were open earlier on the boardwalk.

A summer down at the shore wouldn't be the same without a few dinings here. All is made fresh for the table by the talented chef-owners. I recently had the Lamb Shank special (a new favorite), and in the recent past have had the Lavraki, Trio (Melitzanosalata, Hummus, and Roasted Peppers), Greek Salad with sheep feta, Chicken Kebob, Galactoboureko, and Baklava. I'm especially impressed by how beautifully they cook and season their Orzo. Great place!

When I asked to push our reservation back by an hour, she responded unprofessionally, making comments about our party being "big" and saying our children "should be controlled," which was completely inappropriate. She then claimed she still needed time to cook the food and said we hadn't given her enough time, even though we were simply requesting a later reservation. Instead of trying to work with us or communicating respectfully, she abruptly said she would "just cancel the reservation." Just speaking to someone like this over the phone was enough to completely turn me off from ever wanting to try this place. Customer service matters -- and if there were an option to give zero stars, that's what this experience deserves. DO NOT GO HERE !!!!!!! In response to the owner- She hung up on us and literally said "just cancel your reservation" without giving me a chance to speak. I've been there before and the food was good but unfortunately your service sucks. Your owner was excuse my French, a b*tch and if you lost your chef then your restaurant wouldn't be in business, sorry to say.

So I'm a regular at AC, and I never knew this place existed until I saw a video on Instagram of…read morethem and of course, I had to check it out. From the outside, it looks like an average building, but once you get past those door it's like a whole different world. The inside is so beautiful, and I love the open middle concept, especially with the high ceiling, which lets the natural light in, so it makes everything look even more beautiful. It can also be intimate, as they have sections that can be a little private, so it's great for like dates or if you have a family get together. Also, they are close to the outlet as well and have parking too. I do recommend checking out their hours and menu before going, as they kind of have specific menu options that they offer on certain days. For example, on Fridays and Saturdays, they only have a prefix four-course meal, which each person has to pay $68.99 (we went on Friday). But they have a lot of great options, so you still get to try a variety of their fusion menu options. Especially, considering that if you look at the prices separately for the items that were included, I think it's a really great deal, since it comes with your starter bread, appetizer, soup of the day, entree, and dessert, and they don't skimp on the portion size either. Since it's French, when in Rome, you know I had to go with Escargots à la Bourguignone aka Snail, as this is something I've never tried before. It wasn't my favorite, but it wasn't too terrible for a first-time dish like that. Next was the soup of the day, which was a Afghan lentil soup, which we enjoyed. For the entrees, I got the Uzbeki Palau, which is lamb shank with Afghani rice, and oh my goodness, that lamb shank was so delicious, the bone just slid right off the meat. My friend got the Kofta Chalau, which is meatballs in sauce, and it came with rice as well. He really enjoyed that as he finished the whole plate! To finish it off, we were served Firni for dessert, which is an Afghan rice pudding with chocolate mousse and a piece of baklava. We were so stuffed, it was a lot of good food, and I will definitely go back to try their other menu options, which includes vegetarian as well. Also, it's BYOB as they are Afghan and do not serve alcoholic drinks, so you do have the option to bring your own bottle of wine or liquor if you prefer. Drink options were tea, fresh juices, coffee, and water, no mocktails. Overall had a wonderful time. The service was prompt, our waitress (sorry, I forgot her name) was very friendly, informative, and very attentive. The food was amazing, and the atmosphere is just picture and video worthy, very relaxing, and I did not feel rushed at all either. I will definitely go back whenever I'm in AC.

The whole vibe was great and the meals were absolutely incredible. Since neither of us had been there before, Patty made some phenomenal suggestions, and somehow anticipated everything we needed before we even asked. She was a gem, and so patient and knowledgeable about everything in the menu. (Appetizer) Bolani: You have to get this. It's this crispy, golden fried dough filled with seasoned potatoes and herbs. It comes with a jalapeño chutney that is SO flavorful. Honestly, the menu description doesn't even do it justice, it's delicious. (Entree) Kabul Alfredo: I went with this for my main. It's basically the best of both worlds, its a linguine with garlic, creamy Alfredo, amd shaved parm, but topped with Afghan chicken kabob. The chicken was so tender and perfectly seasoned. I am SO glad we found Setaara, we'd originally tried to grab a quick burger at a hotel restaurant after a work event, but we were completely ignored there, so we just walked out and walked down the street looking for something open. The whole vibe was great, and our meals were absolutely incredible. I'll definitely be back!!!

As I'm rolling in the water, I see my husband head to what he called his oasis, Bungalow, because he was just standing under the hot sun holding my things while waiting for me.
