I was nearby at the Showboat Café and wasn't really feeling their breakfast options, so I walked over to the Hard Rock Cafe area and luckily found better choices. I came across Burgers and Hops, which was open for breakfast. I ordered the Italian omelet with scalloped fries and it tasted fresh, delicious, and really clean. Burger & Hops is easy to find when you walk in from the Hard Rock garage, with plenty of seating and a great view of the huge hanging guitar that sets the tone right away. It turned into a very filling go‑to spot for us, and we ended up eating there a couple of times during our stay. The country western burger was cooked a perfect medium rare, with the ham on top adding a tasty, salty punch. The southwestern chicken sandwich was also delicious, loaded with guacamole and a flavorful chipotle mayo. It's fine for breakfast if you're staying in the Hard Rock. There aren't a lot of other options, and even though it's overpriced, it does get prepared quickly. The eggs and toast are a safe option. Nothing amazing but hearty enough. The fruit salad was a great medley and the oatmeal took up a big container and came with individual containers to add the amount of raisins, brown sugars, and walnuts as much as you desire. The coffee is fine. They don't put out any cutlery and if it's busy, it's a bit difficult to flag someone down for an extra fork. There are a lot of tables if you want to eat there, but it backs up nicely if you're staying on site. Burger and hops had a pretty good breakfast menu. It caught my eye from agar when I was looking for a something to eat as I walked around hard rock café. I got potatoes, bacon, toast and eggs. The service was terrible. Not by the girl taking our order or the cook but the manager. This guy was terrible. First, they don't have enough help out front and the manager is off somewhere in the back doing paperwork. Second, he has to make the milkshake which was not made after 35 minutes. Third, finally asked for a refund for the milkshake and waited for him to come out of the office after another ten minutes. He did say he was sorry but come on man. Avoid this place at this point. If you're staying at the Atlantic City Hard Rock, this place is really good to eat at for quick bites or even whole meals. They offer brunch and dinner options - nothing too fancy but it works, especially since they are open all the way to the AMs. The service is pretty fast and staff are friendly. The only downside is that the food is pricey - 6 wings are more than $10.00! Came here with my girlfriend for a late dinner because the weather was a little ugly. We were thinking that hamburgers and hot dogs weren't the ideal choice we wanted but MAN..when I tell you that hot dog and fries were amazing! They light toasted the bun on the grill and the hot dog actually had good flavor to it! The fries were also cooked fresh and were salted appropriately. They also have breakfast that comes in a HUGE portion of food. We couldn't even finish the food because they gave so much! As for the service, the cashiers were polite and on point when it came to the service when attending to patrons. They have cleaners who will pick up after you when you are finished eating. I always feel bad when someone cleans up after me, but I appreciate the hard work they do. My only knock on this establishment are the prices because they are pricey but what can you expect from a luxury hotel in AC..especially a Hard Rock hotel. The prices were on par with that you would expect from a casino food place. Burgers and Hops is located at the top of the escalator on the second floor next to the giant guitar in the Hard Rock Casino. Fairly diverse menu with breakfast served until noon and late night dining until 4am. You stand in line to order then you get a number with a little standee thing to put on your table, and they somehow find you and deliver your order when complete. Whoever manages this place does a bang-up job; keeping the tables clear, everything is spotless, and the food is dependable despite the large number of patrons! The line can be long for breakfast, but this is a great fallback to the Hard Rock Cafe, which only serves breakfast until 11am and you normally have to put your name in before 10am to get seated in time. The Hard Rock breakfast is solid but the staff out front are particularly unfriendly. The breakfast at Legends Lounge is outstanding; however, you need to be Rock Royalty card holder to get in. At Burgers & Hops, the omelettes are great and they offer fruit as a substitute for the home fries and toast, which is outstanding! Also we ordered bacon and sausage on the side; bacon was wonderful but the sausage was partially burned (sole reason for my four stars instead of five). The customer friendly hours will probably result in you visiting here once or twice during your stay at the Hard Rock. You will not be disappointed. read more

By far one of the best burgers I've ever had in my life. Juicy patty, fresh toppings, and a soft brioche bun. The rock and roll burger comes with bacon which is a welcome addition. The single burger is the way to go IMO unless you really want the extra protein. These aren't thin patties. Fries are crispy and delicious. The old bay seasoning is a personal favorite. This place blows away any fast food chain and pretty much any restaurant as well. I can't think of a better burger I've had out. To top it all off, beers are cheaper here than they are at the bars in the casino. Plus they have drafts. I usually look forward to White House subs when I come to AC but I think this has replaced them for me. Fast service and they're open all night. read more

It was late and there weren't many options open. (This might have been the only one in reasonable walking distance at this point.) Everything was okay for what you would expect. Pricing in the hotel is what it is for food. You'll always expect to pay more. The quality of the food was middle of the road standard. Nothing to write home about but no significant complaints. The only thing that was a little bit of a pain was that it was a limited late night menu at that point. I get why you would do that. But, at the same time, if you're the only place open, it would be nice to have the full selection of options. That said, for a late night option when there wasn't anything else available, it was fine. There was plenty of seating. The food didn't take too long.
