First time i've ever been to Ruby's Diner in Resorts. Last time i will ever be to Ruby's Diner in Resorts. Ordered 1 cheeseburger. Lettuce, Tomato, Mayo. Medium. Thats it. Received a cheeseburger with tomato and onion. The burgers don't even say they come with onion on the menu??? Where did the onion come into the picture? Went back up to the person who packs the orders after the cook makes them. Told him the issue and he proceeded to go to the female cook and they spoke spanish between one another, so i'm not sure the info relayed, but he came back with a plate with lettuce and tomato on it. I guess i'll remove the onions? Thanks? I go back and sit down. Take a bite of my burger. (after removing the cooked onions from the burger of course) The burger is cooked to MAYBE rare. Not even close to medium. This burger is so undercooked that it was falling apart in clumps. This is really my last straw with this burger to be honest. I'm irritated at this point and don't even want it. I go up to the register to request a refund. The cook doesn't care if they mess up the order, and for how undercooked it was, i was certain it would either be undercooked again or she would cook it well done. Not worth my time or energy. The cashier argues that it was put in as medium. I don't disagree that fact. I told her the issue was it was made wrong, nobody cared to fix it the first time. I took a bite and it was nearly raw. She, of course, calls the cook over, who argues with me back and forth about whether or not that is medium. ITS NOT. I'll add a diagram of what each level of cooked should look at least close to. This burger was closer to between raw and RARE. Unacceptable. I digress. We argued for a minute and i expressed like no i don't want it remade i want to leave and be done with this place altogether. Reluctantly they gave me a refund for the portion of my meal that was the burger and i left. What the hell is going on here? I also find it incredibly rude to speak spanish in front of me when we are all having a conversation knowing that i won't be able to fully understand what you're saying. I don't always have to understand what someone is saying, i get that, but i KNOW yall speak english just fine and our whole interaction was in english. why do we do that??? Anyway, like i said. Terrible service. Terrible burger. Only person i can give the benefit of the doubt is the dude who packs the orders and hands them out. Diagram is attached to further prove my point. I gotta say, I was really impressed with their burgers. They cook it accurately to your preference! Most places always overcook it's but not this one. The price seems reasonable given that it's in a hotel. You can make your sandwich a combo for $4 extra. The milkshake is great too! It's more on the thinner side, but that's my preference. There's a lot of oreo in the shake, no doubt about it. It's not too milky and the quality on top. There are many flavors/combinations for it. I would definitely come back here for shakes and burgers. My family was visiting Atlantic City from their no longer new southern location and I needed a bit to eat. I didn't want pizza or a burrito so settled on ordering one of their burgers and a side of fries. Aesthetically speaking the area looks clean and is organized. To one side is a small counter to sit at but there were too many people there for my social-distancing standards so I sat at one of the nearby tables that makes up this food court. The staff I dealt with were friendly and took my order happily. The burger was fine and made to my own specifications. I always like that since I do like my food a certain way. I neglected to snap a picture of the menu but they have a number of the standard diner fare items that all sounded interesting to me. But the staffs remained calm and continued to do what they had to do. This is a great place for late night food, they open until 2am. We ordered 2 Philly cheesesteak, 1 smoked bacon burger, 1 turkey & bacon salad, orange and apple juice. Total around $50. It was estimated to be 30 minutes wait, but it was totally worth it. I said right, we ordered the onion rings AND fries.
