I like stopping in this casino and playing a bit. I don't hit a lot here but they do give a good bonus if you play on a players card. In addition to weekly slot play on my card (everyone's amount is different based on play rate) they also give me an amount to spend on food and beverage in the food outlets within then casino. On this trip I ended up having a milk shake from the coffee shop and also picked up some bourbon sugar pecans and a candy bar to fill out my allowance. You cannot get alcohol with this allowance. Over all I enjoy going to the Hard Rock. However, I've noticed a drop in effort. Starting at the customer services they are still friendly but lack any type of organization. Take for instance they offered a candy bar golden ticket that allowed a player to win up to $10,000, but failed to provide staff to handle the crowd redeeming tickets, leaving players an over an hour wait that kept players from gambling. I used the men's room twice next to players services only to find a mediocre effort to keep it clean. Each time I went to wash my hands to find sink loaded with soap run over and soaked sink area, while the attendant stood by the sink texting on his phone. Both times. I used to see security from the Hamilton County Sherifs Office all the time. This day I didn't see any, the cruiser was parked in the lot but you feel very unsafe in the parking area. I was craving a ribeye and I looked online to see read that they have a garlic butter that they add to it! I had to try it. It was cooked medium well and my ribeye was so juicy. I picked mashed potatoes and green beans fit my sides and the green beans were a vs little undercooked but the potatoes were perfect. They also had good drunk specials. VERY minimal wins here. Out of our group of 15 locals friends the winnings are slim to none. Other casinos within a 5 to 30 minute drive are always a better experience. Probably the worst casino in the area. Food closes way too early. Coffee shop closes too early. The actual "Hard Rock" bar/restaurant struggles to bring in crowds and seems to have limited bands, and only on weekends at that. By closing too early I mean 10pm. The only thing open after that is their pizza place. The center bar has limited selections, so when the Hard Rock bar closes there is no draft as well as other drinks. A representative will probably comment here they payouts are available to see....blah blah blah. The only reason I see anyone going here is they have table games, besides slots. I ordered the Queen City Burger which had Brie Cheese, Beer Braised Onions, Blueberry Thyme Sauce, Hot Honey, Arugula, and it was all with a well seasoned patty on a Salted Bun. SPECTACULAR This burger was just absolutely frigging outstanding. Amazing. I loved it. It is one of their chef creations that will compete against other Hard Rock burger creations to find a winner, and this was one of the best burgers I have ever had. Not even kidding. I decided to try this casino but the reviews warned me. Hard headed I guess. The machines are tight as a knot. It took me losing $80 to get it back on an outdated machine. The printer jammed so my ticket didn't print, waited over 40 minutes for 1 of the 4 red vests troubleshooters to arrive. Wow what a mess and a waste of my time. The lady at guest services was the nicest one who issued me 2 new cards. U do better playing bingo, spades with friends/family instead of coming here. I realized the dazzle of celebrity memorabilia entices u in. I wanted sum food from the Asian spot there but they don't open to 5pm, not going to spend another hour here losing my money. The staff, those blue coats, are unfriendly and unappreciative that I am spending money that I will likely not get back, ie the ratio of wins . The cocktail servers are somewhere else in their head. Stopped into this place on a Friday as I found myself in Cincinnati and also because maybe I have a slight gambling addiction...maybe. I'm kidding. Maybe. Anyway, it's right in the middle of the city in a bustling area and in spite of that the parking situation is remarkably painless. They've got free valet or you can self park and hit the elevator directly into the casino. The workers at the host desk were over the top friendly and went out of their way to explain the layout and get me lined up with with a player's card and I was off to the floor where I found a full selection of slots and all of the table games. Most minimums were $15 which is pretty good nowadays, especially in a busy casino on a weekend. I did accidentally sit down at a blackjack table which had a $5 min, but that then required some weird side bet with each hand which I did not like so I promptly left that table. When I am president, there will be no more weird variations of blackjack. 1st day in office I'm getting that done. Aside from that the gambling situation here is A-OK and I'd definitely do it again. The place is clean, it's easy to get drinks if that's your thing, restaurants, shops, all that stuff present in the building, including of course a hard rock cafe gift shop for those of you who grew up in an era where collecting that sort of thing in your travels was a thing. I spent two different evenings in the Hard Rock Casino. The great is it is clean, and non smoking. We were staying in Newport so it was a bit of a hike but I felt safe walking there. Beers (16 ounces) were $7.00 which I thought were a little pricey. Everyone (dealers and servers) were very friendly. They did have 15.00 blackjack tables. Machines seemed much tighter Saturday versus Friday. Over besides feeling like a smaller casino I would certainly return. It was clean, and everyone was personable. Disappointed. We have been to a fair amount of Hard Rock Casinos and have never been turned away with a minor to go to the Hard Rock Shop and/or the Hard Rock Café. We are not gamblers, but we do like the atmosphere of the café and going to the shops. Since we have a minor...we enter, and we keep walking until we get to the Shop or Café. When we are done, we do the same in the opposite direction. It is what we have been told to do, and always do. Besides, they have plenty of security cameras and are all over you like white on rice if you stop with a minor child anyway. But at this location...you can't even enter unless you are 21+. That's right...you can't even have a meal, nor shop...not even with an 18-year-old. I was informed it was because of how the entrances are and that this is the only location like it. Well poo! I guess it saved me some money and obviously, they don't care about making money...so oh well!!! My son was disappointed since he enjoys Hard Rock. I did go in alone and quickly bought a few T-shirts. My son had to wait in the so-called lobby that had zero seating...none! If it did have at least seating or a few chairs, I would have taken a little longer and probably bought a few more things. I guess they don't care about sales since they make so much off the gambling losers. So, if you are a person who frequents the Hard Rock Cafés or shops on your travels...avoid this one if you have minors and/or folks under 21 years of age. You're an adult at 18, but not here. Aside from this, after entering on my own and seeing the layout, I can see why they don't want minors in there. BUT...I don't understand why patrons perhaps 18+ (ADULTS) can't go to the café or shop...it's bizarre. And I don't understand why there aren't any chairs by the security points for folks to wait if they can't go in. There is plenty of free parking and there are public restrooms...HOWEVER, they are inside the casino and past the security guard. So if you have a minor (person under 21 years of age) that needs "to go", it's not happening here. If you wish to go to the shop, check the hours before you go. We had to go back due to the hours of the shop...they have odd hours. The facility seemed clean and we felt safe in the garage. The security guards were nice and apologetic...not their fault! There are like only a few X members in the casino at the time during the drawing and they had to win a jackpot in like the last month. They drew like 5 names, one lady won the drawing twice and her friend also in the high limit slots won free play as well. A really nice casino in downtown Cincinnati. Lots of slots, table, games, poker, hi steak games. Some great places to eat a - nice woodfired pizza place, a great Ramen place and a hard rock café inside. Really nice atmosphere, the dealers were very friendly. There weren't a ton of people there, so a lot of the tables were closed, it made it a bit crowded and my son couldn't get into play blackjack for about the first hour we were there. At the first table I fizzled out pretty quick(the lady with the mask came in as break relief and I was gone quick). Fine. NO WONDER why there are so many HORRIBLE reviews! Here's mine: So we moved to the area a year ago. I have been going to Hard Rock Cincy almost every Monday this year. The amenities for gamblers are limited here. At every other casino nationwide, I get around $20-30/week free play and $25-50 food credit weekly also. HRC gives me $5 and $5! Then when you go talk to player services, they give me another $25 food credit only AFTER losing $200-300+!? Also THAT is a joke. The manager says "hold on" and they go in the back room for like 5-10 minutes and then finally come out to give you a few dollars. I have NEVER waited that long for a comp! And the manager guy there has ZERO CS skills. THEN....after waiting 2-3x to get a drink a the machines over 30-40 minutes, I timed them a couple of weeks ago. The machine tells you "drink made and on the way" THIS is after 30 minutes waiting. Then it never came 15 minutes later. This is in the smoking area where you NEVER see a drink waitress!! So THEN I had to leave my machine to go get a coke at the Sports Bar. Then they tried to charge me $3.00 for a coke. I tip $1-3 when someone brings me a coke...EVERY time FYI! I finally paid and asked to speak with the manager. Lisa Walker finally came and I explained. Then she gave me a # to call the next day to sw Nicole Jackson. NONE of their people have e-mails! ONLY phone #'s with NO VOICEMAILS!! Called Nicole...no ans and no way to LM....so ICB and asked for MAIN F & B director/VP and was transferred to Security...sw IAN (supervisor so he says). He had NO IDEA who I should speak to. Also had NO phone list of extensions (and he's a SUPERVISOR???). He was not pleasant/helpful either. Then told to sw Scott G.....and/or Sean Curtis the MAIN manager would call me to discuss. NEVER heard back from anyone and now it's been over a week! So NO ONE in management has an e-mail? Then NONE of them have voice mails that say "Hello this Scott G...the manager of my world....please leave a message and I wcb"?? HOW unprofessional/idiotic is THIS?? So between the extremely tight slots and lack of amenities from this mismanaged casino, I have decided to go elsewhere. I strongly suggest that you do the same. ZERO accountability from anyone and no real managers to listen to what's going on there. I am sure the people in high limit are getting great service.
