I went here during a Friday night with my wife and I ended up playing for a good 3 hours and then we ended up being tired. I lasted quite some time here and did not get slaughtered too badly and ended up getting around 2100 tier points. For some reason after 2 years, not much has changed as I noticed around 70% of the games where the same. Most of the games I wanted to play are in the smoking section unfortunately and many of the people liked to hog them. The smoking section is out doors and can get really hot outside and the screens have a glare. Game wise, I do like they have a variety of volatile to low volatile games and there is something for everyone. They have a lot the old games too and played the fire house hounds and other games over there. I did get bonuses on most of the games I played, but only 1 of them ended up being really good, the rest I ended up getting my money back. They have a drink station which I wish I took more advantage of. They have a high limit room which was the same the last time I went, but a few different games. Overall, I had a good time despite me not winning. I lasted a long time, but I wish the games did pay better on the bonuses, but that is gambling like they say. read more

Lost some of it's luster. Note: No Yelp reviews for over a year. We like the horse racing and stadium bar on Saturdays. Metal scanners to get in. Really? The food was OK. Presentation is not as good as before. Room with simallcast racing is closed. That had 100's on the weekend. No racing forms available in the main building. Track grass is not well cut. Weeds growing up between paver stones. No furniture on balconies overlooking tract. Going downhill. read more

It was pretty awesome to spend the night in the parking lot at Belterra. Some casinos allow overnight parking for RVs and I was really pleased that they were cool with it. I did take a walk through the slot machine gaming floor. Clean, organized, no smell of smoke that I noticed but I just don't feel the pull that I need to play. It's not my thing. Our first trip there was in January. Naked karate girls was playing (awesome btw) I do wish the stage was out in the open more. All the staff members seemed friendly to me. The games are a little outdated but it's been there for years! They have all the games the other casinos have just on older machines for the most part. Still had fun and enjoy a night out. Belterra park and gaming is located next to Riverbend Music/Coney Island. There are over 1500 games (latest themes and traditional favorites). ALL slots (starting from penny on up), no table games. All machines are ticket generated and can be redeem at self ticket redeem machine in the front or cashier cage. They offer rewards card, but I didn't sign up for it. They were not offering a free play at the time. Such tight asses! I've been to three gaming centers in Ohio and not impressed with any of them. Yes, these centers are open/spacious, nicely decorated, clean, and smoke free but gaming is poor. I just left a reviewed the Stadium Sports Bar and Grill. Was not impressed with that or this place. My husband and I played the HEE HAW Slot. I don't feel bad losing (only lost $10.00). If I had to choose between Miami Gaming or this place, I guess I would choose Belterra since it is closest to home, but we just wanted to check this place out and compare. Why does this casino pay out so little? Just one example: We played a $20 bill, 15 times in a row and didn't hit one time ‍. We took our entire family here for a night out, thinking maybe one of us would hit something, but it was a complete bust! Out of 10 of us and thousands of dollars, only one of us hit $100 "one time"! I've actually never seen anything like it. It's like playing Kentucky lottery. If you're looking for a quick way to throw away your money, this is definitely it. What a disaster, drove in from Indiana on a sat. We pulled in the parking lot around 8pm. We could hear some kind of concert going on but couldn't see it. We walked in and it was dead. We took 200.00 and walked out with only 90.00. This place is clean and nice and the smokers have a blocked off section for them only that is a plus! We stayed for 3 hours and when we left at 11.00 there were I know a thousand people showed up in line since the concert was over. My hand to God we were stuck in the parking lot till after midnight. Concert goers were trying to leave and so we're we. Drunk country boys aligned the parking lot with no where to go.. This was a hazard and a major safety concern. My sister ordered wings to go and sat at the bar while she waited for them. It ended up taking an hour for her to get the wings and whenever she tried to make eye contact they would look at her and look away. We also saw the bartender make a drink then an employee stick a straw in and try it before it was sent out to a table. Which is pretty rude/nasty. My mother-in-law wanted to go to the races for Mother's Day, so despite the cold weather and pouring rain, we went. I wasn't surprised that the races still went on in very rainy, muddy conditions, but it took two separate races where two horses fell and their jockeys were injured, one so badly that he was taken off the course on a stretcher, before they shut the races down for the day. And they kept replaying the video of the horses falling down. Great stuff to watch with all the youngsters there for Mother's Day. The casino was what you would expect from a racino: only slot machines, no table games. The "security" getting into the casino was the worst. There were 2 two lanes when entering the gaming area, one labeled "over 30" and the other labeled "over 21" with a long line of young-looking folks. My husband and in-laws strolled through the "over 30" lane without even getting carded. As my sister-in-law and I were walking through, the "security" guard told us to get in the other lane, even after we told him we were both in our 30's and showed him our ID's. He said "that's nice" and actually lightly pushed us over to the other lane! Whoa dude! You're "security" at a racetrack casino, not Secret Service! Then, as my sister-in-law & I were talking amongst ourselves about how we were in disbelief that he shoo'ed us over to the other lane, the "security" guard continuously interrupted our conversation to make rude, condescending comments. My mom and I went to Bella Terra to check out the restaurants. It was a Sunday evening, so there were not a lot of people gambling; however I was still surprised to see so many people playing the slot machines. I am not normally a gambler, so I was not checking out the games, but I could tell that there were some specials going on during the holidays. The real reason I went was to check out the buffet. I had heard great things and had been to other Bella Terra's in the area, and wanted to see if this restaurant was just as good. There were many options food wise, but I was disappointed that the food did not look very fresh. Granted, it was a Sunday evening, so that might have made a difference. We did speak to the staff about that concern, and we were told that it is best to come to the buffet on a Friday or Saturday. Overall, it was okay food, and I would definitely be interested in trying it again during their busy hours. The highlight of the trip-and the best food-was actually the dessert bar. One of the main things that stuck out in my mind is that it's very clean. I love the fact that you get a free buffett when you sign up for their play card. You can use it even on AYCE crab leg night! If you're in to slots, this is a go to place. Drink prices aren't bad at all. And River Downs is still open so you can bet the ponies then run inside and play the slots. Belterra used to give my husband $5 in free slot play and a 1/2 price buffet several times a month, but that stopped about a year ago. We were disappointed, but we continued to go. The casino is beautiful. All the slots you can imagine. The restaurants are beautiful. They have a kid friendly burger restaurant, which we haven't tried yet. We went to the market buffet...omg, the food was fabulous! I haven't tasted food that good for some time. Chinese, Indian, Italian, American and every dessert you can think of. The ice cream selections were my favorite dessert, but the others were amazing to look at. The set up it's gorgeous.They made a beautiful fruit sculpture. If you are at Belterra Park for horse betting and gaming, there are several spots that can give you a great view of the track. One of the not as well known spots is the terrace facing the track by the gaming terrace (an open air gaming section for smokers). It has a great view and one can quickly jump out there to watch a race and then quickly get back to gambling at a machine when done. As a tip, if there is a concert going on the afternoon you are visiting, take the New Richmond exit instead of the Kellogg exit for a less stressful path to the property. read more

This review is strictly for the Buffet. My wife and I came here with my parents on Christmas Eve since they were open and it was surprisingly a somewhat busy place (for Christmas Eve). The buffet is $27.50 or free if you signup for a my choice card that you use for the slot machines. They have a huge variety of food, from breakfast(scrambled eggs, goetta, hash browns, etc) to Italian, Asian, and American food. If you're looking for an all you can eat buffet with a pretty high quality touch you can't go wrong here. I've been here twice and the food hasn't disappointed. They race horses here and you could play slot machines all day and night. The place is open 24 hours a day. Parking was free and easily accessible. You have to have a state issued ID if you want to register for the gaming club. I'd give Belterra Park as a whole a 5 star, the renovation is very high end & the atmosphere is outstanding. There is an abundance of slot machines and the horse race book is a huge upgrade over the previous club house. I went with a 2 star as GM George Brown of Stadium sports bar was an absolute jerk to my group of friends and I. He turned what was miscommunication by the Belterra staff to paying customers (my group of friends and I) into an unnecessary utterly embarrassing level of customer service. I should note that it was opening weekend so the miscommunication by the Belterra staff not knowing that you weren't allowed to take drinks out of Stadium sports bar into the racino was acceptable, but George Brown of Stadiums actions to turn it into a confrontational situation were not. Go to to Belterra Park and have a great time but avoid Stadium sports bar unless you enjoy being treated poorly. read more

This is a very bad choice. It is worse than the Horseshoe Casino downtown Cincinnati, which I didn't think was possible. We arrived 3:30pm on Saturday; parking was in disarray so we chose to use valet parking. We wandered around the casino before selecting a place to eat. There are a limited variety of machines; no video poker; roulette, or table games. As far as eating, our first choice was their Favorites Steak and Pasta. We looked inside and then asked the people working at the check-in station to see a menu. We decided to continue to explore the casino but told the hostesses that we would return shortly. After about a half an hour we returned to Favorites to be seated. Unbelievably, we were told that the restaurant had been reserved for a private party that day so we couldn't eat there. It was the same people that we spoke to earlier. Then we decided to try the Stadium Sports Bar. While there were many open tables we were told that the wait time was about an hour. This was at 4:45pm! That was enough for us. This is when it got really ugly. We went pay our valet ticket at the station inside but got stuck in a line that went nowhere. At 4:50pm there were about ten people waiting to pay for their parking tickets. We couldn't figure out what was going on until we got to the window. They couldn't find our car keys! Others before us had the same problem. So we had to wait over 30 minutes before this group of confused individuals running around like they were lost in a forest finally "discovered" our keys. It seems that they are unprepared to handle any type of volume so as people come in they just throw their keys into a large bucket on the floor in the office. Visualize this. Your keys are somewhere in a five gallon bucket with hundreds of others. For an organization that spent this amount of money and had months to prepare for their opening, this is a joke. You have to wonder about the competency of management. Oh, in case you think that I have something to do with the casinos in Indiana; if you like hanging out in a large ashtray you will love them. read more

YEP MICE. many other patrons have told me about the MICE they have seen also over the last 4+ years. I have seen them several times out in the middle of the gaming area. I have also seen them just this saturday nite in CLUB 38. This is a problem they have known about for years and when it is brought up they tell you they are taking care of it. Date and I, having spent most of the evening in the area, decided to check out the new Belterra Park Gaming & Entertainment Center, which is considered a "racino" (combined race track and casino) and has taken over what was once River Downs on Kellogg Avenue. Some thoughts: - I had no idea what to expect, but I was disappointed that there weren't at least some tables - Wheel of Fortune (the 25¢ version) will always be the best slot machine - The bar area is pretty nice and there was a live band to entertain all of the patrons In short: if you want to sit at some tables and gamble with others, this is not your place. But if you like the sound of gambling (slot machines) partnered with live music, and casually having some drinks with friends with the option to play said slot machines, this is absolutely your place. I think Belterra Park is a nice upgrade for River Downs, and I will make a point to go back when I can watch some horse racing. I was was at Belterra Park last night and while I thought the facility was absolutely amazing, my group and myself were treated rather rudely and completely disrespected by the General Manager of the Stadium Sports Bar. George Brown is completely unprofessional and has no sense of customer service. Not only did he call us liars (4 guests) and insinuate that we "fabricated" our story but also he tried to take our beer that we had paid for! To make matters worse when the bouncer offered to comp the beer George Brown quickly responded "I am not comping that, we do not comp anything" For being only the second day that Belterra Park has been open for business I am really astonished and amazed that George Brown would treat paying customers so poorly. George Brown is an arrogant, classless, and egotistical man. His actions and terrible level of customer service are certainly not congruent with what I have come to expect form a Belterra property. read more

This is a small track with low level racing. The casino appears to be the big draw, with throngs of people betting and milling around. Last year, I joined friends who had a horse running. We had lunch in the Stadium Grill. It's a good-sized restaurant and bar with sports memorabilia covering the walls. I had the green chile burger. While not likely traditional Hatch chiles, as they were not in season, this was a huge burger, perfectly cooked to my medium rare, and an excellent choice. I opted for the fries as my side. On my second visit yesterday I went to support my Old Friends Equine organization in Georgetown, and we had lunch in the Grill. This time, I had the pulled pork sandwich with Stadium lager BBQ sauce and spicy cheddar sauce, both served on the side, which enabled me to use as much or as little as I preferred, and a cool, crisp coleslaw on the side. The tender meat was piled high on a wonderful quality, toasted bun. Everything is very well presented on the plate, which I always appreciate from a restaurant. Most notable, everything is cooked on site, including the desserts in a separate baking kitchen, as well as the homemade gelato. Impressive. (Maybe the food is deserving of 4-Stars, considering all of this.) While I would not frequent Belterra on a regular basis, and only went for special circumstances, if you live in the area and you're a casino-ite, then you'll probably like this place.
