It's right next to a gas station and the name...well...let's just say I had questions. Usually it's the places that are a hole in the wall and dives that are the best, though. Let me just say...after I ordered my sandwich and saw that it came with pickles, I was already a happy camper before I tried the sandwich. That was probably around four years ago. Then I took a bite...and it was unlike any sandwich I'd ever had before. It did get a little messy, but what's good food without it being a little messy? Honestly, I'm kind of a mess so it probably had something to do with that. Four years later - nothing had changed. I love going there to get a sandwich when I'm in the area. I just wish they were open a little later. My top three picks are the Birdie, Greek, and Real Italian. You can't go wrong with any of them. I've also tried the Wally, Sand, Pitching, Flip, Original, and New Yorker (sometimes a family member will let me try some of their sandwich...and vice versa). All great. There is just something about my top three though. I love that they are made fresh to order, that you can customize them, that they have an option for gluten free bread, and unsweetened or sweet tea (their unsweetened tea is delicious). I usually get an extra pickle when I remember. They have decent selections for sides as well. Nothing like a good sandwich from Wedgies and a cool drink in the summer! I do wish for more drink and side options...but that's me being super nit-picky. Get yourself a sandwich from Wedgies! You won't be sorry. Sometimes, calling ahead or placing an order ahead is the best way to go because it's usually very busy. Give a nice smile to all the kind people there as well. They do work hard!

While I had heard of smash burgers, I unfortunately had never had the opportunity to consume such a fine sandwich until said night. I paired it with cheese fries and followed subsequently with the RPB & C sundae. Freddy's truly offers a shoestring fry, albeit both the sandwich and the sides were salty for the four of us. I used an app called EZ Cater to line up a burger bar to be delivered to our rental house. I set this up months in advance. Seemed simple enough. It was to be delivered at 8:30, but I was surprised when I got a call at 8 from the manager at this Five Guys, Daniel (I think) He asks if this order is real because it JUST came into their system. EZ Cater had the info for months but didn't put the order into the restaurant until 30 minutes before delivery. Do you know how much work goes prepping 20 burgers with every single topping option?!? Daniel tells me they will work as fast as they can but it won't arrive by 8:30. I say I completely understand and ask they let me know when it is on the way. What I didn't know when I ordered this was that each and every topping would be in INDIVIDUAL packages!!! We had 20 ketchup, 20 mustard, 20 bbq sauce, 20 mayo, etc. etc. etc. All I could think about when I saw all these packages is just how hard these folks at Five Guys must have worked to get this out to us so quickly. We got the food at 9:30, meaning they put all this together and out the door in 1 hour!!!! They should have had all day to prep this, but no EZ Cater is just a dumb app with no human beings and no ability for critical thinking. My fault for trusting EZ Cater, but Daniel and his team saved me. I can't thank this team enough for working so hard that night. Daniel called me when the food left the store and apologized profusely. He had no need to be sorry, I think he stepped up huge that night. We got the food and my guys loved it, it was all delicious! I wish I hadn't inadvertently put them in this position, but I was endlessly grateful they made it work.

This is the complete opposite of what you get at McDonald's, but remember, you'll pay for the quality. - French fries are hot, fresh, and delicious, and the onion rings are amazing. I was not really impressed with the chicken options. Burger to Burger - Five Guys definitely wins hands down.
