I like to eat some gyros or some folks call it doner kebobs. I'm sure Fayetteville has many great gyros and it's a tough business to hang on. I like to stop by here every time I shop at this fabulous Cross Creek Mall. The sandwiches are good and the beer stay cold all the time. Come by and get a bite. Well it's been a good run Great Steak. Been coming here for years and years, the only place I would eat at because they're accommodating and friendly. Still remember one of the guys that passed out flyers. Since they're cheese sauce makes me violently I'll, but they had the best damn potato skins ever. I was a regular, ordered the same thing, they had my order in before I even reached the register when they asked if I'd be eating from them, which was every time, and I always gave the same answer. Potato skins with extra toppings, just substitute the plastic like Philly cheese that they squirt out from a tub, and instead, shredded cheese. That's not too difficult right? I I've seen the rotation of new workers, but now they act like what I ask for, a simple substitution is asking them to build a rocket ship. One employee is particularly nasty overall in disposition and in conversation. A nice employee apologizing on his behalf, on both the last times I've come here. The last two times have not been the first instances of feeling unwanted. But I'm thankful for her, but I hate how I've been treated after years of loyal patronage. read more

I was looking for something different. The name Great Steak caught my eye out of the limited options in the food court. I realized they had Gyros so I ordered one. The lamb meat had good flavor, but was chopped too small in order to make it appear plentiful I guess. The lettuce and tomatoes tasted as if they had a day left before spoiling. The fries were well seasoned although not fried to order and I was the only customer at the time 1:40pm. Overall, disappointing. read more

Iv never had a bad experience until today 5-14-21 went with my sisters to get something to eat. Ordered $47 worth of food, as we sate waiting for our food we noticed a roach crawling on the wall. The employee tried to kill it but it was very noticeable. When I asked for my money back the manager was very rude and had an attitude. He then demanded that we give them our drinks back that we had waiting for our food. Which we complied with no problem. This establishment need more customer service training. read more

Splendid dining experience. Have your steak shards served any temperature you prefer, and with or without cheese-like substance. Mushrooms were upgraded to truffles free of charge, although we had to peel them ourselves. They offered an amuse bouche on a toothpick before we were even seated. They managed to impact every sense, somehow wafting waves of cinnamon-sugar perfume our way. The strolling mandolinist contributed by the mall made the experience complete. read more

How disappointing. The self proclaimed "America's Premier Cheesesteak" was a letdown. I ordered the Philly with cheese sauce and I got two tablespoons of meat and onions and cheese sauce on a 6 inch semi-stale bun. Hardly enough to satisfy a child's appetite. That is a $7.04 waste. This place is great and the food is tasty and fresh all the time, my favorite is chicken bacon ranch it's soooo yummmy.

They have great food it's always hot an fresh as well as those baked potatoes they are awesome

Had to repeat everything we ordered to the lady at the counter quite a few times before she repeated our order correctly. She seemed to have an attitude taking our order, and made it very obvious she was not happy with how long our order took. She made it a point to set our drinks down harshly and almost snatched the money from my fiancée as she paid. Definitely not impressed with the service here. No smiles from any of the employees working and they all seemed overwhelmed by the rush. The older man cooking was the only kind employee we encountered. read more

Great food and seasoned just right, cooked to order right in front of you! Service is quick, prompt and courteous. The twist on the old adage of "would you like fries with that" has been reinvented here and they've done extraordinarily well. (If they asked if you want fries loaded just go with it I promise you'll like it). i really enjoy this place it is located in the food court in the mall, and yes i know what you are thinking.... "really mall food??" yes!! really i love the phillycheese steak here and the fries are delisious. the cheese steaks are just amazing, always over flowing with meat and cheese and lettuce just as all good cheese steaks should be. honestly they one of the best cheese steakers i have found in fayetteville. keep up the good work and oh yeah.... they are not closed. p.s.- they sell beer.... yes!!! you can drink in the mall, helps deal with all the loud and crazy children running around lol read more

This place wasnt bad for a food court. Some different sandwiches you dont usually see in the mall. I got the pastrami and it was hot off the grill and tasted pretty good. They didn't have their signature lemonade which was a bit disappointing and the price was a little high. I also got a side salad and it was very large and had nice fresh lettuce. Its a nice addition to the court, other options are asian, fried food, pizza, and burgers. read more

I ordered the Chicagoland steak minus the peppers....sign says it has: provolone, white american cheese, steak, onions, green peppers and onions. The lady cooked the steak, mushroom and onions and then a guy came over and slapped the provolone on it. Then he takes the sandwich and squirts some yellow crap all over it. When I questioned him as to what he was doing, he said that was the white american cheese. I said since when is squirting velveeta or some other crap like cheese whiz considered white american cheese. When I complained about it to the guy who took my order, he just rolled his eyes. Was a waste of $7.50 as I couldn't eat the cheese crap on it. read more

Absolutely love this place!!! Shortly after moving to Fayetteville my family and I were at the mall checking things out and were drawn to Great Steak by the guy handing out menus. My husband loves a good philly and this place has the absolute best outside of Philadelphia. We have since been back a couple of times going to the mall specifically to eat at Great Steak. I have tried the reuben philly, the king potato, and the great potato; they were all fantastic. The prices are exceptionally reasonable considering this restaurant is in a mall food court. read more
