Extremely disappointed with my recent visit to the Stafford, VA location. Despite placing a mobile order in advance, the experience was frustrating and poorly handled. After an extended delay in the drive-thru (20+ minutes), I went inside to pick up my order. I noticed what appeared to be my order (correct bag and drink) sitting behind the register instead of in the mobile pickup area. Multiple employees saw me waiting but made no effort to ask if I needed help or acknowledge my presence for a significant amount of time (+/- 25 minutes). More concerning, I observed several employees arriving for their shifts around 10 a.m. and immediately beginning work at the registers and handling food without washing their hands. That alone raises serious health and safety concerns. While I've enjoyed the food occasionally, knowing that this location doesn't follow basic food safety ruins previous experiences. I understand locations get busy, but lack of basic customer service combined with apparent food safety issues is unacceptable. I'm usually a fan of Hardee's, but this visit was a major disappointment. read more

I keep going back hoping for new management & hoping they learn how to cook plus not toasting the buns. Labeling the proper items. They keep adding more mustard. What if someone I know is allergic to mustard? Well I guess that means someone I know will sue if allergies lead to death. Past 2 years I've probably been there 6 different times to order food. Last year the manager gave my food to the car that was 3 cars behind me in the drive thru in which I confronted her when I walked in there. Turns out she mentioned to a younger employee that she needs to go to the bathroom. If that's the case, then the younger employee should've handed my food so the manager can go to the bathroom. And my food wouldn't been handed off to another person in the drive thru. I hope a new manager or DISTRICT MANAGER OR OWNER teaches these youngin's how to cook. And stop putting cheese & toppings on the bottom of a sandwich. I know someone's world can be upside down but the original sandwiches that was invented in the beginning of time of the restaurant was established is not supposed to be upside down. -Invention of modern sandwiches may pass to those who is willing to try them. I'm sure Wolfgang Puck & Gordon Ramsay would back me up on this even though they're more of gourmet. -Some things are meant to stay traditional. read more

Happy New Year everyone. I've never posted review on ANYTHING but this interaction was so unbelievably frustrating. I live in Alexandria but I went to woodbridge for an appointment. I decided to drive to hardee's. i ordered a fresco meal w no bacon & extra mayonnaise (i know, i know i'm weird) & an additional sandwich on the side. it came with extra bacon, burnt, and very salty. Typical Hardee's fare but what grabbed my attention was the manager on duty. She was friendly to all her customers and nice to what I can only perceive to a "regular." You don't see that much anymore in fast food service. read more

I got the super star burger here which is advertised as an angus beef burger. I do not know for certain what type of beef they use but the burger was really bad. The quality and flavor of the meat was inedible- I had to throw it out after a couple bites. Luckily I was in the area for a different restaurant, so I didn't drive the long distance for Hardees, but it did waste a lot of time, and some money. It does take them quite some time to prepare even a single super star burger. The flavor and texture of the beef patties was similar to Burger King- but a worse version of burger kings whopper beef patties. Burger king in my opinion is still edible and tastes decent enough, but these burger patties were not edible. They also put too much sauce on the burger, but I did scrape most of that off. read more

For a burger place in Stafford this place deserves 5 stars because all we have is fast food drive thru. This Hardee's makes everything fresh so if you have to wait, stop complaining, be thankful they don't let old food sit like some places do.... the 5 Guys around the corner cooks bacon and then lets it sit out getting cold, then they plop it cold on your BLT or burger, not Hardee's, this bacon is fresh hot and fresh cooked bacon all the time. the teen crew has always been kind and efficient and the place is clean. We decided to get Hardee's tonight at about 10:30 p.m. We pulled in and the person working the window was such a gem. We pulled around and paid and he was very kind and efficient. At one point he apologized for the wait because they had to make our sandwiches to order which didn't bug us because we were there so late as it was. As we waited, we noticed an advertisement that said Hardee's key ingredient was their people. Please don't make him into a sandwich. He is worth keeping. I was told the menu at Hardee's is the same as Carl's Jr.'s, so I stopped out of curiosity (on 8/9). Well, that isn't true. Hardee's has similar items, but it's not the same; the menu is also shorter. FOOD: 2/3 lb Monster Thickburger: Pretty good. It's a hefty burger of two 1/3 lb Angus beef patties, a handful of bacon slices, and cheese. The buns were soft, the patties were cooked well, and the bacon was plentiful. I also like how my burger was made properly; it wasn't just thrown together. The fries were average. $5 Double Charbroiled Sliders All Star Meal: Eh. Cheap? Yes. Filling? Sure. Good? It could have been tasty, but there was an issue. One of the double patty charbroiled sliders we received had so many small hard bits of what seemed like pieces of bone in the patty. The cookie and fries were okay. The food took awhile, but the people working the night I stopped by were friendly. I stopped at Hardee's for breakfast on a road trip. The service was speedy and friendly. My chicken biscuit and hash browns were hot and fresh, and I LOVE that they use Simply Orange Juice instead of the watered down Minute Maid that a lot of drive-thru places use. Stopped in on a Sunday morning for breakfast... the girl taking orders was very blah and also didn't seem to understand anything about providing decent customer service (an example: once we placed our order and then I paid (via credit card), she just stared at us. I asked what next and she said "wait for your food."). She needs more training. The food that eventually did come out, and it came out rather quickly, was very fresh and very tasty! We enjoyed it! Never coming back here. Some rude girl named Amy (her name was on the receipt) with red hair and glasses took my order and took WAY too long to give me my meal. She was nasty about taking my order too. Quit hiring nasty teenagers and hire people who take their job seriously and actually want to work. Poor customer service is a turn off for most. We stopped here on the way home from a stay in the DC area. It is a tradition to stop at Hardee's for breakfast when we travel. I love the steak biscuits and my girls love the full breakfast. This stop did not disappoint as everything was just what we were craving. The service was pretty good which I have noted at other Hardee's can be a problem. The chain is not renowned for having the friendliest employees but this location was not the norm. The inside was freshly cleaned and the wait time was minimal. Aight, so first off, they were out of 1/3 lbs meat. So, I was given the tough decision of deciding "go big" and get me the 2/3 lbs or "go small" and get the 1/4 lbs? I opted for the 1/4 lbs purely because I had been waiting in line for 15 min to order and I assumed a 1/4 lbs patty would take less time to cook. Upon waiting on my order, I witnessed more graphic things than I've never witnessed in my time in the Marine Corps. The fry girl was salting the fries with her tears of displeasure, the cashier boy made a dad joke that even dads wouldn't laugh at when he dropped my card on the floor and said, "butter fingers, amirite?", and one of the cooks was heard saying, "I'd give that Black Panther movie a 6/10" and that's just complete and utter bologna. They have the sweetest employees and YOU HAVE TO try their Sweet Tea...nom nom nom. I was a tad bit disappointed when I stopped by here a couple days ago after years! I ended up getting their Mile high bacon egg and cheese sandwich but I couldn't find the bacon or the cheese LOL! My sandwich was so small and flat. Drove here for breakfast. Ordered their country ham biscuit and their steak biscuit. Got unsweetened tea to drink. The country ham biscuit was good though the slice of country ham was not as thick as that at Cracker Barrel. I enjoyed the steak biscuit also and the steak was thick and tender. They had sugar for their ice tea unlike Popeye's Chicken. I wash McDonalds had those things also. I have gotten a ham biscuit at McDonald's but not around here. The wife and I stopped at this Hardee's this weekend after making a detour off of the insanely jammed I-95. (Thankfully we have discovered a few "escape routes" between Manassas and 95.) The entire area was packed, but since Hardee's drive-thru line was short, we figured they'd be a safe bet. Not so much. They were crowded as all get out, but seemed to manage the volume well. It was about a 10-minute wait for our food, and they brought it to our table when ready. As always, the burgers were on point. The 1/2lb. Mushroom Thickburger was delicious. Their burgers always make me wish we had a Hardee's closer to Manassas and the DMV. However, I made an audible and went for "Texas Toothpicks" instead of fries. These are a combo of fried onion and fried jalapeno strips. The jalapeno strips had absolutely no kick or flavor, and tasted weird. The onions weren't much better. A Hardee's that delivers on all accounts is typically a 4-star review on me. This one didn't, so I'll knock them back a star. I'd still come to this Hardee's, and the burger was the deliciousness that it always is. read more

Husband and I ordered and when we opened out lunch were shocked. My low carb burger wrapped in lettuce was non existent. This is the worst Hardee's I've ever been to. The three staff were busy filling drive-thru orders and didn't even bother with the customers in store. I waited for 5 minutes before anyone even turned around and then was asked what I was waiting for. I said I hadn't even ordered yet and was directed to someone else. After placing my order I asked what was my number and was told that they'd find me. I stood next to the others waiting for their food for a good ten minutes. Then the same guy that took my order asked what I was waiting for. I heard him ask for my food and they hadn't even started mine. Fries were limp and barely warm. Ive gone to this Hardee's several times. First, each time they get our order wrong and it has to be returned. The food is good when they get it right but most of the time the fries are cold by the time my entree comes back correct. Secondly, the staff seems to only care about socializing with each other. The manager doesn't seem to keep them on task as she should. The tables are constantly sticky and covered in a mystery substance. Id love this place if they only got our orders right. read more

I work near this Hardee's. I have given them multiple chances, however, their customer service is horrible. One time I was asked to review an email that one of the employees received in regards to a bonus another associate had received. The employee showed me the email and asked my interpretation of the conversation contained in it. I said it looks like (name here) was getting a bonus of $50. She went on to complain to me that the employee getting the bonus was her cousin and that she does better work than he did. I wasn't sure why she randomly asked me to review the email. I just wanted my food. She was obviously disturbed by this email. I sent an email to Hardee's headquarters but got no response.
