I've been here many times since my original review and it's solid and much better than that time and the previous times I've been. The good is decent, wings are great (especially the hot style), and burgers are thick and made with fresh meat. Drinks are relatively cheap, especially when compared to other restaurants in the area. I'm beyond disappointed with Paddy's Public House. Their website, Google listing, and other sources clearly state they are open until 2:00 AM, yet when I arrived at 12:15 AM--a full 1 hour and 45 minutes before closing--I was told the place was "closed." What makes this even more frustrating is that there were visibly people inside the establishment. It's clear that they were selectively allowing people they personally know to enter, which is both unprofessional and unfair to paying customers. This kind of behavior is unacceptable. If you're not going to honor your posted hours, at least have the courtesy to update your website and listings to reflect the actual situation. And playing favorites with who you let in? That's a surefire way to alienate customers and destroy your reputation. Paddy's Public House clearly doesn't value its patrons, and after this experience, I won't be coming back. If you want to be taken seriously, start by respecting your customers' time and treating everyone equally. read more

Great for a pint and fare. Has great pub atmosphere, lots of screens for sports, service great at bar. Food good and well prepared. Onion rings for the win! Family friendly, and separate cigar lounge (sealed off from rest of place) in back. Super supportive of vets and service members. Definely returning. read more

3.5 stars Hidden--almost forgotten gem--right here in 610! Service was prompt and friendly. I wish I could tell you our server's name but she never offered it. She was a mature woman that was super nice and attentive. Our family ordered a wide range of breakfast food: I ordered Eggs Benedict with home fries, The Eleven was chosen by our "built-like-a-linebacker" son; country fried steak with hash browns was split by our oldest and his gf and my husband ordered the Waffle Combo. Food was prepared perfectly and delivered promptly. My husband declared the scrambled eggs (he asked for cheese to be added) were the best he's ever had. My son and his gf truly enjoyed every morsel of the country fried steak and our youngest (17) got his fill with the Eleven: 2 large, thick (but light) pancakes, three eggs, four strips of bacon (cooked nice and crispy!!) and hash browns. My eggs Benedict were cooked beautifully and the "Irish bacon" was actually Canadian, but I'll overlook it--for now. My husband gave the coffee a big thumbs up as well. I had already chugged a double of coffee before our arrival so I had to pass on my own mug--this time. I would have given 4, maybe even 4-1/4 stars but the light in the ladies' room was nearly blown out. I thought my son's gf was joking when she came out and told me it "was so dark in there, I had to use my phone to see!!" She wasn't kidding. It was so dark I had to ask Siri to turn on the flashlight on my Apple Watch (thank you Siri!). Bathrooms were clean and smelled of recent disinfectant. Please Paddy... replace those bulbs! This is a mixed review. The atmosphere is great with good music. It seems to be a place for locals. Everyone is really friendly and the bar selection is excellent. We enjoyed drinking and socializing with friends and the prices are descent. However, the food is not great. I was really excited to order fish and chips thinking it had to be authentic ordering from a place called Paddy's right? It wasn't. It was really mushy to the point where I had to split it open to make sure it was fully cooked. Another person ordered grilled chicken. It was good, but the side of rice was bland and frozen fries. My husband had the appetizer sampler. Cheese sticks, chicken tinders and shrimp. They were the best of the three meals. I advise sticking with traditional bar food such as appetizers. All in all, it's a fun place that's more of a bar, less of a restaurant. That's not a bad thing, just not what I expected. From the looks of the menu, I thought it was both. Overall paddy's was a good place to visit. My friends got burgers and loved them. The told me they would definitely buy them again so that may be your best bet. A hidden gem! Stopping on whim while passing thru Stafford. Service was terrific, kind and knowledgeable. Follow her recommendations for appys. Chili will not disappoint. Rich history meets good conversation. My wife and I had brunch here while visiting for a retirement and the food was really good. We sat at the bar and was served by the bartender who was originally from the Nyc area which is where we are from, great guy good conversation and I would recommend and I will be back there when I pass through again. read more

My only suggestion would be to get someone to deliver to nearby homes/businesses The Grub Hub and Door Dash menus ADD to the normal menu prices PER ITEM plus ADD service Fees plus ADD delivery fees the result is $$$ higher than normal eat-in or carry-out prices. At least if you had your own driver the delivery fee would stay with Paddy's efforts and the driver could be tipped accordingly. read more

Paddy's is your standard bar with an Irish flare. Plenty of Irish beers on draught. Bar food is decent for bar food. If you're hungry you're not gonna turn your nose up at it. But I doubt it's what draws in the crowd. Plenty of locals bellied up to the bars chatting and watching sports in plenty of tv's. The staff is always friendly and you are almost certain to run into the owners on any given day. Their happy hour martinis are delicious. They were extremely busy last night due to the fact they had some parties going on. However the bartenders did their best to serve in an appropriate amount of time. Indulged in the fried mushrooms. They were good especially with the spicy ranch dipping sauce. My husband was retiring from the military, and at the last minute our reception venue dropped us. Frantically scrambling for a new venue, I called Paddy's. They were able to accommodate our large party of 50 with no problems at all. The gal that I spoke to on the phone was a dream, she said they'd set aside a space in the restaurant for us and we'd have our own server. She did, and we did. Our group was served promptly and everyone was happy. Food was just ok, but let's be honest-- we weren't really there for the food. What happened?!?!? We have bragged and couldn't wait to take my family when they visited to this place. How embarrassed we were recommending this place after our visit. I write this review with comparable experience from previous visits. On 9-5-14 we were there around 730ish in the evening and there was only 1 waitress and 2 bartenders. There were over a dozen tables with customers not including the people at the bar. So the wait time to just get drinks was extremely long. Our waitress seemed new or just out in lala land. Because she was either hiding in the backroom behind the double doors underneath the yankee's sign or just walking the perimeter and skipping us. The kitchen staff was actually bringing out our food and they were super friendly making sure we had everything we need. The food portion size has been cut back significantly since our last visit but the prices sure don't reflect that. The food was definitely not worth the $100 bill we received and the only time our waitress paid attention to us was when she was waiting to pick up the check. That was the quickest we saw her return to our table. Paddy's I am so disappointed in our visit. We are BIG supporters of family owned and not big box. But it will be a long time before we come back there and spend our money. Very disappointed and embarrassed we went there. read more

While I'm not sure why my officemates love this place, I can say this - they have cheap drinks. Being used to DC prices, having the bartender tell me $4 when I order a cocktail was like being hit with a cool breeze on a warm day. Welcome and good. The food? Meh. Avoid unless you're hungry. The only customers I ever see eating here are old Marines who, well, let's face it, aren't used to haute cuisine since they spent a career kicking ass on behalf of America.
