Had a flashback today after dropping my daughter back to school. There aren't very many Hardee's around anymore and I decided to stop in this one. Full disclosure, my first Hardee's experience was when I was in the sixth grade back home in Chi-town when I was on the basketball team and the coaches decided to stop at one that was out in the suburbs (there weren't any in the city)... So this review is probably somewhat biased since I'm a bit in my FEELS about this place. First time I had a charbroiled burger and I think it really changed my life. I never had a burger that tasted that good up until then. I was a burgeoning foodie even then and didn't even realize it. Well, I've been passing this place forever making this trip and I decided to stop in for nostalgia's sake. I told "Clint" I was having a bit of an emotional moment as he stood behind the counter asking me for my order lol. It's only been 40 years since I was in one of these stores. I didn't know what the fries tasted like so he let me try some. They're reminiscent of Burger King's. I got a Mushroom Swiss (the one that started it all) and a The Big Hardee - and the medium fry. Spent $20 and when I bit the "Big Hardee" burger in the car I was immediately flooded with memories. Both sandwiches were JUICY doubles. The BH comes with like a thousand island dressing. You can smell the Char-Broil deliciousness when you walk into the location and when you take a bite. The burger is very moist and almost reminds you of Salisbury steak... which I love. They also make a very weighty sandwich. It's got some heft to it. Some people are reminded about experiences with locations; sometimes with music, other times with food, fragrances...or other things. This was a pretty cool experience this afternoon. I won't pass by Hardee's any longer on those trips to Delaware. They need more locations around the DMV. Surprisingly this place was pretty clean compared to the other fast food places we have stopped in. Wife and I stopped in on our way to to Fenwick to see my parents we ordered the ham and burger special for $5.99 and a 3 piece chicken strip. Everything was very good we would definitely return when in the area. read more

Our most favorite, and only stop on the way back home from Ocean City for lunch. All of the staff has been wonderful to us, and we truly enjoy seeing them each visit. They are always so friendly and accommodating, and they have gotten to know us as well. We've not been disappointed in any item ordered on their menu. Other Hardee's restaurants we've been in could learn great customer service from them! read more

One of the stops of a famed 3-dinner tour. We're from SoCal and one in our party was desperately craving a Double Western from Carl's Jr. What started out as a joke, turned out to be an actual stop and dinner #2. No Double Western, so we had to make our own (this isn't this location's fault) by adding onion rings and extra BBQ sauce to our sandwiches. While I did enjoy the Texas Toast Bacon Cheese Burger, it left me waaaaaaaay too gassy at the end of the dinner. Although if you wanted to enter a burp contest, great, GREAT way to get prepped. We were also disgusted by the fact that one of the fountains had very questionable water coming out, you could SMELL the sulfur in the cup. And it wasn't just "oh here's a hint of it, maybe?" It was "clearly, they are taking this from the septic tank." Something, I don't know. The other fountain's was a lot better, but you really can't get over something like that very easily. read more

This is actually probably the best Hardee's I've ever been to. Faint praise, to be sure. And the food is still pretty gross. But it's the least gross of any Hardee's I've experienced before. Typical Kent Island customer service though, so be sure to check your drive-through order before leaving. read more

Came to this location for a burger and I have to admit is was quite surprised I finished it. I accidentally ordered the 1/2 pound burger. It was great but way to much to eat. I would return here if I haven't eaten an entire day. The service is great and the employees are great. read more

First time ever at a hardees and this location seemed to be well kept and clean . At least in the dining area . The menu had a pretty good selection of items . My order came out correct and the food was carried to my table for me ! Awesome . We were the only table occupied on this particularly slow day . The only complaint I have is that I asked if I was able to substitute my fries for onion rings , the server told me yes I could . He gives me the total and it's higher than the advertised price . I inquire as to why this may be and he says "Oh it cost to substitute onion rings " . Then it's not a substitution . I changed my order . read more

Stopped on our way back over the bridge. Been craving a mushroom swiss and since they don't have any Hardees near us, it was a perfect reason. Service was fast and they brought the food out immediately. They skimped on the fries and there was little mushrooms and sauce on the burger. Otherwise it was good. read more

Usually a big fan of Hardee 's but on this Labor Day weekend was very disappointed we got in put in our order and was served in like five minutes usually that's a good thing but they brought it out and my bun on my frisco sour dough was more doughey than any thing ( I don't think your workers there know the bread needed to be toasted ) hmmm . The girl there told us she put fresh fries just for us , ahh geez thanks ! once again they were hot but under cooked reminded me of fries from school cafeteria !Also burger tasted nuked & the chicken for my kids meals was chewy:0( I know it's hit or miss at fast food restaurants but I've come to expect more at Hardees . This would be rated 5 stars if the person at the drive through and the window wasn't so rude. i'm really not one to leave reviews at all but this experience made me so mad... older woman seemed so annoyed and was not professional at all. made me feel like i was annoying her, i wasn't even getting anything crazy just biscuits and gravy (which were DELISH) i was in a good mood and that 5 minute event put me in a bad one, her attitude was unacceptable. read more

We came here years ago when we first moved to island.It was a pretty good place then,I am not sure what or who has happened to this place but it is nasty! The dirtiest place on the island possibly! We went in the other day for the first time in a couple of years(because it was dirty then)and I grabbed the door handle and it was sticky,I then noticed the glass...looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks! Floor dirty as well.We looked at each other and shrugged and went in anyway.Well we go to counter and notice just the untidiness of the entire place and decided not to order. My friend wanted to use the bathroom before we left,she went in and came right back out and said she could wait!! UNREAL!!
