This place was highly recommended by the guy at European Motor Works, once I told him my situation Came into this shop expecting the absolute worst. I had a timing code on my wifes VW due to neglect, mostly on my part. The whole 2 qts that was in there was really dirty. Tried adding oil and clearing the code, but it kept coming back, misifiring out the wazoo. So I let the car sit. After about a month of pondering what to do, sell it for parts, scrap it, swap it.. Eventually decided to throw a dart in the dark, had it towed in, spoke with Hardeys and explained the situation. Guy called me the next day with great news, as we avoided catastrophic failure. They ended up fixing it for under $1500. Finding a shop that is honest, wont try to convince you that you need a new engine is unlikely these days, unfortunately. Especially when that is the conclusion youve come to yourself. My only complaint is they wont work on my other (domestic) vehicles because theyre not German Honestly, thank you guys so much. I recently brought my Audi A5 in for a water pump replacement and new brakes, and once again they exceeded my expectations. The work was completed quickly, the quality was excellent, and they came in about $500 less than the other shops I priced. It's hard to find an honest, knowledgeable, and fairly priced shop these days, but Hardeys MotorWerks checks all the boxes. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy service. I would never go back there ever again. A total jerk runs this place. Installed two defective ECU tunes in my car and did nothing to help me get it repaired. Also, he will slander you in public when things don't go his way. Him and his buddies tried that crap with me. So now you find out about it. I'm not playing. Time & money wasted. Had an appointment scheduled at 10 am, scheduled it days in advance, for an inspection & oil change. Had a couple concerns with the car going into the inspection. We were quoted $160 for the oil change and inspection. We were also told to expect them to be done by 1pm. At 2pm with no call/communication my husband went in to the shop only to find out they had not even started on the car. At 5pm (closing time), we finally get a call that they were done and could not figure out exactly what was wrong with the car, they suspected a few things but could not nail down exactly what was wrong. The total cost after we waited all these hours? $330. They stated that they did a more in-depth inspection to try to find the issues because they were so intrigued and wanted to find the problem and that that inspection was another $170. This made our total more than double what we were quoted, and they couldn't even find the issue. I asked why they did not call to make sure it was okay that they did the in-depth inspection, they then let me know, rather forcefully and loudly, that we just did not understand what we were quoted. Well, at the very least, you need to work on your communication skills because we were caught completely by surprise. So future customers beware, they may do an extra inspection that will cost you double and it will take all day long even with an appointment time. Oh, and you still won't fully know what's wrong with the car at the end of it. read more

It took a lot of knowledge, trial and error, and a ton of determination to find the cause of the problem. These guys were not content until they solved it, and even let me drive my car while they waited for parts so I wasn't inconvenienced. NO STARS Got rid of my Audi when a local shop Hardeys in Colorado told me that because they did my water pump now I was gonna need to do a suspension job... ?? What?! This started out as an Oil Change...then their "tech" cracked the filter housing...rookie mistake...had it towed back to them...then...oh but wait, the water pump is now mysteriously leaking. They gave it back and it lurched hard to the left under moderate to strong acceleration, after significant research, according to the Audi mechanics I have met and discussed with, probably because they didn't put it back together correctly... so now there is a suspension problem...?? OMG Take it to the dealer... I loved that car... All of this because I let them change my oil. read more

I've used Hardey's for the last few years, after getting a really expensive misdiagnosis from another shop that specializes in German imports in Parker & Castle Rock. I went to Hardeys for a second opinion. Hardey's came in at 1/2 what the other shop wanted, with a different diagnosis that solved the problem I was having. So, I've used them since then with great results. They seem to actually care, and they don't give off a heavy MAGA vibe if that's in any way a factor in your decision-making. My way out-of-warranty Audi would not be on the road today if it weren't for Hardey's. I recommend them completely. read more

I brought my 2011 Audi A3 Quattro to Hardey's because the shop I wanted to use, Berg, was booked 6 weeks out. My car had 100k miles, ran fine but had no heat. I brought the car in to fix the heater core, DSG fluid change, & for a timing chain replacement. I wanted them to do preventative maintenance so that I could get a few more years out of the car which I had just driven from CA. They did the above mentioned work & the final bill came out to $4800. After getting the car back my CEL came on within 5 miles of driving away. The next day it was having a hard time starting, so I decided to replace the spark plugs & ignition coils as further preventative maintenance. Upon opening the hood, I found many coolant hose clamps not connected, disconnected vacuum lines, screws missing, & over filled coolant. I emailed pictures & talked to Hardey who wanted me to bring it back in. I tidied up their sloppy work, or at least as much as I could see & continued to drive the car. 2000 miles after having the car back I noticed an oil leak developing near the upper timing chain cover where they had done work & my dash now indicated a coolant leak, so i had no choice but to take it back in for them to look at it. The next day Marcel called to inform me that my timing chain cover was cracked & that it would need to be replaced for $300. I stated that I should not have to pay for that repair because they just completed the timing chain job & I could visibly see where they over torqued the bolts causing the gasket not to be flush. He said he didnt want to make excuses for their previous "bad work" & that he would talk to Hardey about taking care of it. They did replace the cover for free & I was informed that Ryan, the mechanic who did my work, no longer worked for the company. Regarding my coolant leak, supposedly my car developed a leak from the turbo coolant hose which was hard to fix & conveniently expensive to replace. I really felt like Marcel was giving me a hard sell to cover the cost of the other repairs & blame me & deny any negligence their the sloppy heater core job that they did. He quoted me $500 for this repair & when it was all said & done he actually ended up charging me nearly $800 & wouldn't honor his previously quoted price. Also, during this visit they informed me that my rear main seal was now leaking & would require an additional $2400 to fix. Up until I brought my car back to have them rectify their previous work, my car never used any oil nor leaked any oil on my assigned parking spot. I checked my oil every fill up and would have noticed it leaking on my parking spot at home. Now that I have my car back, it is using 1 quart per day & is leaking all over the place. I don't know what to say about this shop beside the fact that they did a poor job the first time & every time I get my car back it has another new costly problem. I can't believe there aren't any other negative reviews for this company. Hardey comes across as a nice guy (I genuinely want to believe he is), but Marcel seems untrustworthy, & I whole heartedly believe that this place survives by over charging people in Parker who just blindly pay them whatever they ask for solely based upon their flawless reputation. In closing, they did reach out to me after the repair via text "to make sure my car was okay" which I responded to, but never heard a word back from. I wasn't going to leave them a bad review, but after getting no response from their follow up text & having a suspiciously convenient & expensive oil leak occur immediately after they "fixed" their last "work". I feel I have no choice but to warn other VW/Audi enthusiasts to think twice before coming here. I wish I had waited & took my car to Berg Performance where I know I wouldn't have to worry about sloppy work or suspicious/convenient problems occurring after picking up my vehicle. read more

Hardey's is my kind of shop. There is no 1/2 million dollar customer waiting room (which ultimately gets added onto the price of repairs). There is a sofa if you need it and the wonderful aroma of motor oil and Audi's being fixed by people who know them inside and out. I have an aversion to dealers because lets face it, you are just a number to them. Get it in and out as fast as possible. #123, you are up next. Hardey's is that different place where you are a person. You will realize that the minute you walk in. I took my Audi S5 in for what I thought was a leaking steering rack (very costly repair but one for which Hardey was way under the dealer estimate should that be the culprit) but as it turned out, it was a leaking coolant expansion tank. They diagnosed the root cause correctly (and quickly) and contacted me that the fix was a fraction of what I thought the problem was. Hardey's will have my business on those jobs that are out of my skill level from here on out. The shop is a little difficult to find via Google but well worth the adventure. Just remember its behind the Hickory House rib joint and that will get you there. read more

Let me just start by saying, I have been to SO many technicians from private to dealership and I have been screwed over, lied to and taken advantage of because i'm a girl. I may not be a mechanic but I know my stuff. I have a 2000 vw beetle with 130k miles on it. Thankfully the previous owner took really good care of it but unfortunately problems come with age. When I got the car two years ago it had a coolant leak, and a bunch of random things wrong with it. My brother broke my passenger manual window and Hardey fixed it with the part I brought him. He has surpassed any service i've ever had with my car, and his prices are fair. I like the small business feel of his shop and it's very personal and I have never felt like anyone was trying to scam me out of money. He finds the problem, he's honest about it and he does a damn good job of fixing it. As long as I continue to own Vw/Audi's I will be going to him. He has done a lot of things for my car, and he understands that my car is the equivalent of a child to me. He's a sweetie and his technicians always get the job done right without leaving my car looking gross. His repairs never take very long and he always explains everything to you and why it needs to be fixed. No gimmicks or false repairs to get money out of you. That's all I've ever wanted! I have a 2004 Audi S4. My clutch was having issues for the third time in only 20k mi. Not only did he repair it faster then any shop I have been to in the past (and I have two others to compare too), but it was also less expensive. I had an issues with an older VW that I bought and Hardy did top notch work. I had some issues with passing emissions and Hardy did not want to let the car go till he was sure that it would pass. He even took the car to the testing location for me since I could not get over to one easily during work hours.
