I am not writing this review seeking any monetary resolution. I'm sharing this experience because the fear tactics, story changes, and manipulative behavior used by the shop manager Josh to cover what was likely an honest mistake at the time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]What started as a simple oil change on my 2023 VW Atlas at 55,800 miles turned into a $500 bill and one of the most unprofessional customer experiences I've ever had.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] During my inspection, Pride flagged both my front and rear differentials as contaminated, showing me photos of fluid samples in paper cups. They told me the fluid was too dark, warned me it could cut my car's value in half if I wasn't under warranty, and said it was a VW-only service they couldn't perform. They told me to get to a dealership asap and to not delay. This was a Friday at 5:30 PM. I was at VW when they opened Monday at 8:00 AM. VW informed me the fluid in question is gear oil. It is naturally dark. That is its normal color. Pride created urgency and alarm over fluid that was behaving exactly as it should. The rear differential service I had done was based solely on the concern Pride raised, which VW confirmed was unfounded following the inspection Pride themselves recommended. As for the front differential, Pride accessed it during the inspection and compromised the plug in the process. VW informed me that once that plug is removed, a fluid service is mandatory with no option to decline. I was forced into a service on a component with no documented issue, solely because Pride accessed a system they admitted they couldn't service and didn't have the parts or fluid for. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I called to understand what happened, shop manager Josh was condescending and dismissive, telling me he was "glad VW serviced what was obviously a needed service."[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It wasn't due for another 4,200 miles. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He then left a voicemail insisting they did nothing wrong, that the dealership was screwing me over, and asked me to remove my review before I had even posted one, as I was still trying to understand what happened.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He claimed they only accessed the rear via a check plug and never touched the front. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He then texted me claiming the front differential is sealed and that VW was selling me an unnecessary service, while embedding Pride's own inspection report in that same text showing a photo of front differential fluid in a paper cup labeled as contaminated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I replied asking "How'd we get this for the front?" He never responded. There is no innocent explanation for how Pride obtained a fluid sample from a system they claim they never accessed. Either they accessed it without the knowledge or equipment to do so safely, or they fabricated the finding entirely. [[HIGHLIGHT]]What pushed this from frustrating to unacceptable: I never told Josh which dealership I went to. He called every VW dealership in the Denver metro area until he found the one I was at, then called and berated their service staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] VW confirmed this to me directly when I picked up my car. Josh claimed VW was ripping me off. If that's true, why was my entire $500 bill limited to servicing what Pride should not have accessed? On top of everything else, Pride flagged my battery as failing and recommended a nearly $400 replacement. VW tested it and confirmed it is in perfect condition. Not a single additional repair was recommended or sold to me at the dealership. I have the inspection report, voicemail, text exchange, and VW invoice to document. read more

Shady stuff happening here. Be careful and watch details. Took truck here for transmission issue because my warranty co approved them. After painfully long replacement process I had issues with the transmission since the replacement, took it in several times for inspection and adjustment and was told it's fine and just keep driving it. Over 6k miles and a year later, same exact issue happened with the transmission they put in. Had to be towed from Keystone. Got it in and was told there's no transmission fluid in it, but there's also no leaks anywhere. More shop time, more flush/fills. Again I'm told it's fine. Had a long haul planned to Cali withs trailer so went in several times to make sure it checked out ok. Several flushes and refills later they say it's good. Regional manager said he checked trans fluid level but only went out to parking lot with OBD scanner, can back a few minutes later and said "everything looks fine" - but that's now how a Tundra works so what was he "checking"? Same manager said he replaced a sensor but magically that's nowhere on the service report at all, nor is half the stuff they claimed the claim was done. Also they changed oil before my trip and didn't put oil drain plug back correctly so dripped all the way home and onto my driveway. Simplest of tasks and it gets messed up. Faith is gone. Got to Fruita with an empty trailer, far below vehicles capacity, and started seeing smoke - spewing trans fluid. Got into local shop and they say they pulled out 1.5 quarts of overfilled trans fluid, plus whatever I puked out. So Pride overfilled it and sent me on my way. Now I'm told "we can't do anything more for you". Three other shops later, including dealership, and the general consensus is faulty install and/or bad replacement transmission. Either way I'm dead in the water and they've washed their hands of it. I've sat in that lobby enough hours to know they PRIDE themselves on upsells and unnecessary work, straight from their own mouths. Kinda funny what you learn just listening. What a nightmare. Lots of data for my attorney to chew through now. read more

I brought my car to Pride Auto Care in Parker because it stalled and the emissions light was on. I asked for a full diagnostic so I'd know the total cost to fix everything. They charged me $2,261.38 and replaced the alternator, belt, battery, and EGR valve. The same day I picked it up, the emissions light came right back on. When I returned (the next day), they claimed it was a "new issue" and wanted another $1,100. How does a brand-new problem appear immediately after a full diagnostic and major repairs? It really feels like they misdiagnosed the original problem. I paid for a comprehensive diagnostic and still left with the same warning light and stalling. Long time, loyal customer, no more!! I have been a loyal customer for over 5 years at the Parker location. I have trusted them with my families 5 vehicles and my company car for regular service, tires and even some significant engine repair. I began to trust them so much that I didn't even question what they would charge me because I felt they were honest. My mistake!! Yesterday, November 9th I took my Daughters vehicle in to have them put the winter tires back on that I purchased last year. I didn't even ask the cost because I know this is a very common task that is usually a fixed price. In fact, I now know that Discount Tire charges $88 and Costco $50 to put on all 4 tires. A couple hours after dropping the vehicle off, I got a text from Pride Auto informing me that I needed both front and back brakes. They stated that that it would be $646 for the front and $646 for the back, totaling $1825 out the door and they could get it done right away. I responded questioning the $1825 total? Thats when they informed me that they were charging me over $300 to simply put on my winter tires!! With the windshield wipers I also had them do, the total was $347!!! Now I know this is my fault for not asking ahead of time, but I am so disappointed that a company would take advantage of a customer like this and charge over 6X the cost of another company. Now I'm wondering how much I was over charged over the past 5 years. If you decide to go to Pride Auto, be sure to compare the costs with other auto shops. We have been a long time customer of Pride taking our 4 cars to them for many years. I dropped off my car on Friday night for some work and got it back the following evening. On the way home, noticed that my headlights seemed really dim. I pulled over and found that only my fog lights were working and neither one of my headlights worked. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I took the car back in and explained the situation. I was told that both headlights were out and I must have been driving with my high beams on and never noticed[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I'm not a car guy but I can most definitely tell if I'm driving at night with my high beams on. Also it is pretty hard to miss the bright blue high beam indicator light on my instrument panel. I would have been happy to pay for any parts if they could fix whatever was broken while my car was in their care at their shop. Unfortunately, per the GM, there was zero assistance provided from Pride, leaving me to pay completely for a malfunction that did nor occur until after it was in their possession. It's inevitable that companies will get new owners and management and when it happens you hope that the service and customer experience will remain the same. It's unfortunate when that doesn't happen and services decline. I moved to the Parker area in the summer of 2012. One of my coworkers recommended Pride Auto Care for service work on my vehicle. Pride Auto was great to work with, however a bit more expensive than I was accustomed to. The service and professionalism outweighed the cost difference from other shops. For my general maintenance needs I worked with another local shop, but Pride was my "go to" for larger maintenance needs on my vehicles, that is until this year. Through my contacts I had heard that the original owners of Pride had sold the business last year, as a loyal customer I wanted to stay with a shop with which I was familiar. At the beginning of 2024, my vehicle achieved the 100k milestone, so I scheduled the manufacturer recommended service with Pride. After dropping my vehicle off in the morning, I received a call that along with the 100k service I was in need of some front brake work, I authorized the work and was able to pick up my vehicle the same afternoon, the cost for the manufacturer service and brake work was 2k. Approximately two weeks later I heard and felt some grinding in the front end, in my experience, typical of a brake issue. I took my vehicle back to Pride and after investigating the noise I was told it was not my brakes but that my front differential had metal shavings in the fluid, even though when the fluid was replaced two weeks prior there was no issue. At the time I scheduled with Pride to have the differential replaced and was quoted a cost of 3k but had to wait for parts. I started thinking about this situation in more depth, my "spidey sense" was tingling quite a bit so I took my vehicle to a transmission shop for a second opinion. They found that the issue was not with my differential but with the transfer case. I authorized the work, with the alternate shop, on the transfer case at a cost of 2k. I was extremely pleased with the work and the quality of the shop. However, about a week later I started experiencing the same grinding noise in the front end. My trust level with Pride Auto was at its lowest level so I took my vehicle to another repair shop in Parker, upon receiving several referrals, they discovered that the front brake work performed by Pride Auto was completed with substandard parts. I was given the opportunity to go back to Pride for them to correct the issue but by now I was completely "DONE" with Pride. I authorized the brake work at a very reasonable cost of $500.00. My recommendation for anyone thinking of taking their vehicle to Pride Auto Care in Parker is to get a second opinion on any work they recommend before you move forward with them. My ability to trust them has evaporated since it appears as if the work that they did was substandard and possibly just a rip off as evidenced by the fact that I had to have another shop fix what I paid Pride to do initially, and the differential diagnosis was incorrect as well.. read more

I always felt like I was getting taken when I went to get me cars worked on but honestly after I went to Pride my opinion of auto care has changed. There prices are reasonable, they really break down what they can do and what is absolutely necessary. They have also given me ideas to try at home before I bring it in to see if I can save myself money. Honestly these guys are great and I don't look anywhere else when I need car work. I recently relocated to Parker from Minnesota where for many years I had a honest, trusted auto repair shop that always took care of my repair and maintenance needs. But, when I got to Colorado, I didn't know where to find a similar place with outstanding customer service. Today, when I had a minor accident with my car I asked a friend for a recommendation for a top-notch, honest auto mechanic. Without any hesitation my friend said that I needed to go see Zach H. at the Parker location of Pride Auto Care. My friend said that Zach was the best in town. So, I went there and asked to see Zach. He was very personable and when he heard about my situation, he connected me with a customer service advisor named Patrick V. Patrick was extremely helpful and among other things he arranged for a quick estimate and offered to help coordinate my insurance claim and even offered me a ride to a rental car place. He made what was otherwise a difficult day quite a bit less stressful for me. I don't usually write reviews. But these days exceptional customer service is exceedingly rare. I think it is worth recognizing it and sharing it when it does happen. Kudos to Zach, Patrick, and the entire Pride Auto Care team for creating a wonderful customer experience for me. I brought my 2013 Toyota Sienna to you on November 21, 2022, for an oil change. I was contacted by a technician and advised that my vehicle needed a multitude of repairs, to include differential oil change, cabin air filter, spark plug replacement and fuel injection cleaner. I was immediately wary as I reviewed my vehicle repair records and noted that the cabin air filter was replaced on my last oil change, done by you in July 2022. My records also showed that the differential fluid was replaced in April 2022, when the vehicle had 10,000 fewer miles. I spoke with Phil, and expressed my concern that Pride Auto was recommending services that were clearly not needed, and so passed on those recommendations. As the spark plug repair was quoted to cost $1,452.53, a major expenditure, I took this vehicle to another mechanic. The other mechanic conducted diagnostics, and wrote as follows, regarding the spark plugs "The gap spec is .04"-.044". Plugs measure .04" indicating almost no wear at all. Plug change not needed for at least another 50,000 miles." Regarding the recommendation that fuel injection cleaning be performed, at an estimated cost of $204.99 the mechanic noted " LTFT shows +/-5 at all ranges. There is no indication of any fuel restrictions- a fuel injection service will have absolutely no impact on engine performance." I find the actions of your business to be deplorable! It is predatory and unscrupulous to recommend services that simply do not need to be performed. Shame on you read more

Very frustrated. Had my daughter's car towed here with what seemed like it could be transmission issue. After day 1 of diagnosis there wasn't one. Just a statement that there were 2 codes that when they're together could mean transmission issue, but we have not determined for sure. Day 2, still no diagnosis, but "our master technician is now on the car". Day 3, "we believe it needs new spark plugs and a fuel induction service". Will that solve the issue? "It should, and allow the O2 sensors to function properly". Day 4, "we changed the spark plugs and began the fuel service and the O2 sensor almost caught fire". "We now think that a previous fuel service you had done 6,000 miles ago fouled the O2 sensors and got into the catalytic converters. We recommend new catalytic converters with O2 sensors". They quoted us $6,000. I asked how much we owed for the services performed, and they said full price, as the parts and labor were installed and performed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I asked if they would work with us since the issue didn't need new plugs and a fuel service. They said no, all services quoted were performed[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I would not recommend anyone bring their vehicle here for service unless you are fine with leaving your vehicle for 4 days, and paying them for guess work, knowing you may be in for a much larger repair, at a much greater cost. This auto repair shop is straight from heaven. If you're in the area you probably already know. Let me start by saying I do have a warranty from CarMax Auto. That being said, this shop got me in, looked at my car, provided a round trip car service while I waited and called at appropriate times with updates. This is my new favorite shop and I couldn't be happier. The only thing that was a quick scare was whether my warranty would could cover the issue and where was my car parked when it was to go home. The lot is not that big so seeing my car was immediate even though they didn't tell me where it was parked and my warranty fully covered the issue. One of the most painless auto shop experiences I have had. I want to mention the guys by name but I only know Phil's name. I want to make sure you know how wonderfully pleasant the front desk representatives all were. I am very pleased. But now that I think about it, I wasn't given a breakdown of the service provided nor was I told about any warranty or guarantee of the work done. That is something to keep in mind so you can remember to ask. I was definitely floored by the good news and service provided. My issue was not something that I noticed on my own so I really can't tell the difference now that it's fixed. I usually keep a file of the work done on my car. I'll make an exception with this one because I plan to go back if I need anything else done. read more

I took my car here when I first bought it to get all the leaks and stuff done. I spent over 1500 to get all leaks and repairs done. I was told all leaks were done and my car was good to go. A couple days ago i noticed my car was leaking ALOT of oil. The whole side of my car was covered in oil. I took my car back in to see if they can repair it since I was told my leaks were done. However now they are trying to charge me 2300$ for the leak. They are telling me now that I had a potential leak from the last time I came. How was that information not relayed back to me? This is information I should have known to keep an eye on the possible leak I had. This falls onto them and their poor customer service. I will be taking my business elsewhere, there is many of things that could have gone wrong if I did not catch the leak myself! I am very disappointed with Pride Auto. A FB group recommended Pride Auto and thanks to them, I got a tow (cost conveniently added to my final bill) and a call the next business day to let me know what they found and the cost to fix it. Broken shifter cable replaced, oil change, and a tow for around $1,200. Not a bad price, I called around. lol All communication was quick and painless. Super nice people. Unfortunately I will not be bringing my vehicle back here. They no longer take pride in making sure the customer is happy. The front counter person Rudy was rude saying that I need to call if I am running late. Which I did call and was only 5 minutes late per the time I was told my appointment was for. He then told me my appointment was for 30 minutes earlier than I was told in an email. I showed him the email and he said he didn't care what that said. Well maybe Pride Auto should call or send a notification to their customers to confirm appointments so they are both the same time. Pride Auto replaced my fuel pump on my 1999 Jeep Wrangler. The pump failed and Leland replaced it under warranty. I been bringing my Jeep to Pride Auto for years. They replaced radiators, brakes down to basic oil changes. The entire team are friendly, professional and honest. You will not find a better auto repair shop. I brought my car in a few weeks ago because my service light was on. I knew I needed some maintenance work done and had heard good things about Pride Auto Care. I was completely shocked when the technician called me and gave me a laundry list of 7 or 8 things that needed to be done to the tune of over $2,000. They said I had a crack in the oil pan, needed a fuel flush, brake pad replacement, and several other things. I thought the cracked oil pan didn't sound right because I haven't noticed any oil leaks in my garage or driveway, so I decided to take it to another shop for a second opinion. I take good care of my car and I have less than 60K miles on it, so I wanted to double check before paying over $2K. I gave the new shop the list of work items from Pride Auto Care and the guy literally laughed and said he couldn't find that much wrong with my car if he tried! He reported that I didn't need any brake work done (I had this done a couple years ago and haven't driven over 5K miles since then), and said there was NO crack in my oil pan. The other shop serviced my car for a grand total of $291, TEN TIMES LESS than what Pride Auto Care quoted me. It seems suspicious that Pride told me I had a cracked oil pan when that was not the case. I recommend caution and a second opinion!!!!! I will not be returning. read more
