Went to Platinum for the first time back on Oct 20 following an inspection report from the dealer. Long story short, it cost me only $1041 for my 60K service (Brake fluid flush, coolant flush, transfer case, rear differential , and front diffferential service). The dealer quoted me the same for $1000 more. So going here saved me 50% on my necessary repairs. That said, I respect the expertise of the dealers, but these guys at Platinum also are aficionados of both BMW, Audi, and Porsche so I have my full confidence in them. Other details: they were very fast and efficient, had all of the above done in about 3-4 hours. The last time I was at a dealer it took that much time to just change my oil. Also, Platinum has a nice waiting area with a coffee machine and a few computer desks where you can plug in and get work done on the internet. Finally, the guys there were really personable. Simply the best and most honest German car mechanics you'll find! I was given a quote for my turbocharger on my Q5 by another mechanic when I first moved to Denver area, told by the other mechanic that I shouldn't drive it at all until he fixed it, etc. Platinum Auto told me it was possible it was just the elevation difference from where I came from causing it, cleared the code told me to test it and gave me a lower quote to fix it should I need that. I had been a customer for several years with nothing but compliments for their attention to detail. I own older Audi's, a B5 S4 and a D2 S8, both look like new. I have had Audi's for 30 years and was in Porsche/Audi sales for well over 20 years. Absolutely love Audi, always will. Something's happened with Platinum. When I took the S4 in last summer I was aware it need some attention. The leaks that had been serviced by them 4-5 years earlier were back - really?! On top of that, I gotta admit that it irked me that Sean decided to replace the coolant tank that was only 6 months old because he said it "looked funny". ..$150 plus labor for that alone. It took a week to get to the car done and when I picked it up I ended up returning because I kept getting codes (check engine lights). After spending over $2200 on the last visit I now have all sorts of leaks once again. That's not right. I always felt that my clients deserved the best of me, but that doesn't seem to be so with these guys anymore. It's like they don't really care. Time for a change... read more

I had a horrible experience at Audi Denver trying to get my A6 fixed. I was so frustrated that I told them to stop what they were doing and I was going to have my car towed to somewhere else. Going through Yelp, I noticed that Platinum Auto Service had 18 reviews (not a lot) but all were 5 stars. That is pretty amazing, since some customers can be unreasonable. In this day and age, that would be a minor miracle, so I decided to take a chance and have AAA tow it there. I spoke with Sean, who was really helpful. Once the car towed there, he told me he would check it out and call back. He did that pretty quickly, and the thermostat was bad. He quoted me a price 700 less than Audi Denver. I told him to fix it and change the oil. When I picked it up, the final price was what he said, but it seemed they threw in the oil change for free. He also told me that there was a particular part that needed to be watched, but it didn't need to be fixed at the moment. When I picked up the car, I noted that the shop was clean and organized. I've been driving the car around for a few days now, and it really feels like new. I've definitely found a new home to service my Audi. read more

We took our Mercedes into Platinum for a repair to the back window wiper. Heather gave us the best and worst estimate to repair the wiper. We were pleasantly surprised when she called to tell us it was only a fuse that needed repair. Honestly is the best policy! We could have been charged for a motor, elsewhere, and had an expensive repair. We had the Mercedes fluids replaced, (an issue of maintenance) and a few minor issues repaired. Pat....owner...did the work himself on our Toyota Rav4... What was needed was the emergency brake was not working... Pat pulled the Brake Drums and noticed that the last repair done by someone else...installing the brakes ...did not reposition the adjuster levers in that area. Pat cleaned and inspected the brakes..and fixed the adjusters and now the Emergency Brake is working to PERFECTION! Needed to get my VW a new battery and got quoted over $600+ for a new battery including a fee for syncing the battery to the computers. I said hell no and started to call around to places I've had my previous car at.
