I have called a few times to inquire about this but was told each time that the estimate "was coming soon". I called back on the 14th and spoke with someone. On 6/1/2026:…read more Be aware, be careful! North River Plumbing & Gas, LLC. We had an issue with our toilet downstairs, my husband changed the toilet tank parts, it worked, the leak from the bathroom tank stopped. But then, the toilet supply line started a very small leak, he went ahead and bought a new water supply connector, but it did not work, it continued leaking. On Monday, I decided to search online for plumbers, I found this company called: North River Plumbing LLC, located at 1123 MD-3 #305 in Gambrills, we live in Odenton. I called, and left a voice message. A man called Arturo or Arthur called me back, and said, shut the water, the water was already shut because we have 2 bathrooms, it was not an emergency, and I let him know it was not an emergency. But he insisted in coming here that night on 6/1/26. On the phone, we asked him how much was he going to charge, he said he did not know because he needed to see the problem. He came here, in 2 min he "fixed", he had the balls to say, all you need to do is to screw 4x more the nut that connects the supply water connector. Wow, that was easy! He ripped us off, shameless crooked contractor, he charged us $350 and had the courage to say he was giving a discount because the price was $400.

Plumber explained that leak was from water freezing in pipe. He showed us the crack, saying that despite turning off the water for winter, water remained in the pipe and froze. He replaced our pipe and made it so water drains completely out the pipe when turned off. His bill was very reasonable. I highly recommend him.

Once again, I called them in a panic two days ago because we had a backup on our laundry room floor drain. Keon came late in the day, diagnosed the problem quickly, offered to fix the problem that night (9pm, which they would have finished around midnight) or to come back the next afternoon. We decided on the next afternoon and he called letting us know when he would arrive and then took care of the issue. In the interim, he reached out to WSCC on our behalf to see if they would install something to prevent the issue in the future. Our technicians are always VERY clear and detailed in the estimate of work and then follow through. I have recommended Definitive to numerous neighbors and friends-they are extremely trustworthy!

I've used this company for years and initially had a very positive experience -- the owner…read moreresponded quickly and professionally when I first reached out about an issue. However, the follow-up was disappointing. The same technician who caused the original problem was sent back, and the quality of the work raised concerns. For example, insulation in the wall area was minimal and appeared insufficient, and there was an attempt to use inappropriate materials (rags) in place of proper insulation. I had to supply insulation myself which he said was much better than what he had. Also he wanted to leave the rags in there cause it would be more insulation! The technician also mentioned he had worked until 3 AM and didn't really want to be working that day, which was not reassuring. Also an outside hose bib was left uncaulked. I followed up with the owner to share these concerns and never received a response, despite a second attempt to check in. In the end, I caulked the hose bib myself. I would have appreciated at least an acknowledgment or response, especially given my prior experience as a customer.

Since she's a member of Angie's List, she volunteered to look me up a few reliable plumbers in the area. The first name she gave me was Mr. Jackson from Reliable Home Improvements. I called him on a Monday and spoke to him about possible resolutions to my plumbing issue. We decided that Thursday morning between 9-9:30am would be the perfect time for him to stop by and inspect my issue. I remember that I specifically asked him if I needed to call him back to confirm my appointment with him later that day. He said, "no, I have you on my calendar, but if their is a problem, I will call you back." I thanked him and told him I'll see him Thursday. Well, Thursday rolls around and I didn't hear from, nor did I see Mr. Jackson. Extremely unprofessional! I worked from home that day, so thank God I didn't have to take off, but it was still an inconvenience. Why on earth is it so hard to find honest, competent and reliable plumbers? This is a give and take situation. I pay for a service, you fix the problem...plain and simple. I wasn't asking to fix the problem for free, I was a paying customer! Moreover, if he wasn't available, a simple call to reschedule would've been the proper thing to do. Two weeks to the day and I still haven't heard back from this company. Horrible customer service! Take it from me and don't even bother contacting this company. My sister suggested that I call him back, but I refused because it's plenty of plumbers in the area that are willing and able to assist me. I found one too, he fixed my issue lickety split and was very professional! One and DONE!
