I cannot stand the former owner of this house. Sam's Plumbing has come to my rescue because the past owner left behind pipe corrosion, a leaky outside hose (the second one doesn't work), old valves that's hard to turn, and an old pressure control mechanism. He did not charge any kind of minimum service fee, and he provided free estimates for both a shower installation and a water heater installation. He is polite and easy to communicate with via text or on the phone, not only about scheduling but also for confirming that I was buying the right kind of water heater. He arrives on time, works efficiently, and leaves the workspace very clean. The shower installation was priced reasonably, even though it required cutting away some sheetrock, soldering, and installing an access panel. Chose them after reading yelp reviews. They examined the sewer pipe I had thought may have been cracked , and thus the smell . Most likely was an animal had gotten into the vent tube behind the bathroom. Other shops would've demanded $200 up front for an estimate. No thanks . These folks are pros. Fantastic experience!!! I was having issues with a leaky garbage disposal. I initially contacted a different plumber and Yelp automatically reached out to other companies for me. Cristian from Sam's Plumbing contacted me within minutes and I was provided with a reasonable estimate for repair. He told me that he would arrive between 12:00-1:00 and was here by 12:30. Unfortunately, I needed a brand new disposal. Luckily I live close to Home Depot. Cristian got the new disposal (a more powerful one than what I had originally) and installed it quickly. Including the time it took to buy the new disposal Cristian was done by maybe 1:30. I hope I don't need plumbing services in the near future, but if I do, Sam's will be my first call! read more

Got initial quick response from Cristian. When told of the repair work, he responded that the outside spigot might break when attempting to repair (replace worn washer) and would need to be replaced with new anti-syphon faucet at a cost of over $300. Similarly, to repair a leaking bath faucet, he said the faucet handles were not to code and would need to be placed higher (which would require removing tile, cutting into the drywall, doing pipe work, and re-tiling). All I wanted was to fix the leak. Cristian took a picture of the faucet, said he would need to see if he could get the repair parts (washers), and follow-up with me.
