This time, I wanted to tackle a picture frame moulding project in our living room -- 100% on my own with no help from my husband (which he was probably grateful for). I first checked with the big box stores and didn't have any luck finding the moulding I was looking for. I decided to see what Dunn Lumber had and not only found exactly what I wanted, but at a great price. Add to that, I was able to pay a little extra for their help cutting several 8 and 12 ft pieces down to the sizes I needed. This saved me a TON of time. I also picked up all of the essentials (small hand saw, miter box, caulking, etc.) which only left me needing paint which I already had. I'm really pleased with how everything turned out and am so thankful to the Dunn team for making it as easy and convenient as possible.

I really wanted a bamboo based laminate but all of theirs were mdf backed so we just went with a regular plywood backed laminate. The one we chose was out of stock but due in so we went ahead and ordered it, came in pretty quick and so far the flooring I put on the stairs looks great, we have medium size dogs that run up and down stairs and it is holding up great, I will probably end up redoing the downstairs with flooring from these folks.

They also refunded the labor portion of those boxes because they said "we didn't end up installing those boxes." While I'm sure extra boxes were ordered to be on the safe side, I was still pleasantly surprised at the extra refund. My floors have been in for over a month and I could not be happier. 12/17 update: I still love these floors! And my house renovation is ongoing. From time to time I'll stop in this store for a piece of transition or a small amount of flooring. They almost always remember who I am and are extremely helpful!

And I was not even that close. I talked to Jack Junell about it and he made the trip to my house to look at it. After saying he never saw anything like that before, he gave me some replacement pickets. My rail sits in the sun most of the day during the summer and it (the sun) is really beating up the rails. They are all fading. Guess there is really is not a worry free system out there.
