I would NEVER use this company. Very bad treatment of customers. We didn't get to the phone when the driver called. I'll give them that and that was our fault. The issue here is the driver chose to dump 2 yards of gravel IN FRONT OF OUR GARAGE doors, therefore trapping us until we shovel it out of the way. This is pure common sense whether someone answered a phone or not. There is an obvious gravel area this could have been dumped. Furthermore, I called the office to inform and complain where I was then called a "Karen". Really? Calling a customer names? Only to learn the "man" I spoke with is the owner (Gary) What a terrible way to treat people. These guys are amazing!! I called around to about a dozen places and Northwest Landscape was very fairly priced, and certainly had the best service!! When I called, Gary helped and guided me to what type of gravel would work best for my purpose and described what it looked like perfectly. (It is GORGEOUS, by the way!) Then I asked if he could deliver it the next day because I had some workers already scheduled. He laughed and then figured out a way to squeeze me in. Really? That's awesome! The truck had some mechanical issues after it arrived, so they sent another truck out within 30 minutes. Then they worked with me to dump the gravel in exactly the right place watching out for power lines and neighbor's cars, but as close to the gate as possible. Gary and the crew at NW landscaping have been wonderful. They made the process of ordering and delivering mulch as easy as possible. We needed 18 yards, which they brought in 4 separate deliveries so we would not be overwhelmed with the task at hand. The driver was courteous, and dropped the materials carefully and as directed. He made certain that the truck was cleaned out so as not to leave waste in our driveway or on the street. When I asked if he knew anyone that could help us spread the mulch he came back to us with a reputable name and number of someone to call. We also ordered rocks which Gary included on a mulch delivery without any additional charge. He made certain that the driver placed them where they were needed so we would not have to lift them ourselves. A week out of spreading the mulch we are not seeing any uptake or sprouting of weeds. Also, there was not one piece of trash in the material. With previous suppliers we have found not just weeds, but cigarette butts, peanut shells, wires, soda can tops, etc. This mulch was clean and beautiful. Gary and crew were delightful. I enjoyed his jokes over the phone and doing business with his company. We will definitely be looking to them for future yard and landscaping products. read more

We decided to try Northwest to buy our Christmas tree this year. Was not difficult to find at all. They had a wonderful selection of some of the freshest, best looking trees we've ever seen. There were many trees and sizes to choose from and they were displayed in an organized easy to see the entire tree manner. They were not the cheapest nor the most expensive tree supplier, rather right in the middle price range. We will make Northwest our destination for our Christmas trees going forward. These guys are flat-out awesome in all ways! We've gotten self-pickup mulch and our Christmas trees from their lot for many years so figured I'd call and support their business when I needed to gravel our parking area. I called in for a delivery and they got me on their schedule. On the delivery day, they called exactly on time and said they were on their way with my material, and then surgically dumped exactly where I asked. I will hardly have to rake it out! UPDATE: upon knowing what happened, Gary (the owner) instructed his staff to do whatever they could to make sure I have mulch on Monday morning before my gardener comes in. They have mulch delivered to them every weekday at 4ish a.m., so they can make it happen. Unfortunately it didn't work for me because I needed the driveway to be clear all day and couldn't have a pile of mulch sitting on it. But I really appreciate their efforts to remedy the situation. They tried very hard and even proposed to deliver the mulch in several batches so that they wouldn't block the driveway too much. Gary also called me, he was very apologetic and offered me a refund of my delivery fee. They were supposed to deliver mulch to me this morning. They called just now and said that they sold all their mulch yesterday and have nothing to deliver to me. I made an order over the phone two days ago and paid with my credit card, they gave me a delivery date. How could this happen I asked. They said they were too busy. But I have a gardener coming to apply the mulch tomorrow. They said non-appologetically "you just have to reschedule with your gardener". Do you understand it means my gardener will lose a day of income? They don't care, they just said "well, you have no materials for him to work on". That's because YOU have no materials to deliver to me. If this is not bad enough, they made it even worse by saying "Sunday deliveries are usually complicated". So you know you have problems with Sunday deliveries and you probably have made the same mistake in the past and you still let it happen again? read more

Bottom line: Gary has the best mulch. And for small deliveries, the best price. Having purchased and used garden bed mulch from two popular local competitors before, and being stuck with several cubic yards of "mulch" that (still) has scraps of all kinds of plastic and glass crumbles in my organic garden beds that I'm picking out by hand a year later.... These guys have the best quality, so per cubic yard, you'll find it costs a few dollars more. But, you really do get what you pay for. We visited this place before ordering to check out the quality of mulch, cedar chips, and rock. It's a small corner lot. They have several rich, dark, well-cooked, CLEAN mulch. And, an added variety of smaller rock sizes which were ideal for layering a residential walkway. Gary and Simon good, honest, and easy to work with. We needed a cubic yard of different materials delivered every week for 3 weeks for a DIY project. And even though we're slightly out of their delivery area, they delivered happily. Gary even called every morning of the delivery date to check if we were still on schedule and ready to receive. To me, that's above and beyond. We've experienced our share of less than professional suppliers and contactors. We highly recommend! And have done so with friends and family and all of our neighbors. read more

A first time customer towing a trailer to get a yard of garden dirt. I turned off a busy street in front of oncoming traffic, and didn't see the Exit only sign until I got the trailer out of traffic. I apologized to the lot guy when he came over, and I asked how to proceed. The owner was backing up a company truck, and looked at me and said, "Can't you Fucking read". NW Landscape Supply has been highly recommended on a community group for many gardening needs and I had been keeping them in mind for a future parking project on my property. A few weeks ago, the need for my project had accelerated due to heavy rainfall. The rain turned an area of my property that we had been parking on into a mud pit and I became fearful of anyone driving over it. I came into the shop with my son and was greeted by two sweet rotties. I explained to Gary (the owner) my situation and he knew immediately what size gravel I needed and told me that I would eventually need more after the first dump - I agreed because the ground was so saturated and I really don't know much about gravel/rocks anyway. I was lucky enough to have same day delivery. After the first drop, my husband and I realized that we definitely needed more. So I drove back to put in another order and Gary waived the delivery fee! Such a great gift on a day with a series of unfortunate events! (Our garage was flooding on top of many other events happening at the same time due to the rainfall). Both delivery guys were great and I was so impressed that they were able to get the truck down my incredibly narrow driveway. I can't wait to come back for mulch and more. Really looking forward to Christmas season and getting another fantastic tree from this place... Best quality around, it lasted quite a while into the new year, but of course you got to get it in water right away but what idiot wouldn't do that, right? This little gem of a place has great barks and mulch to choose from if your job requires that kind of thing.
