When I reached out, he was very quick to respond and was willing to work within my budget. The day of the photoshoot came and unfortunately circumstances made us (really) late but Dakota was very gracious and was still willing to work with us and provide a quality shoot. Not only that, but when extended family wanted to add another hour to the shoot, Dakota was more than willing to give us more time and even refused to charge us for the additional hour (which speaks to his character) (Of course we insisted on paying though). The shoot went very well and we were promised a 3 day turnaround and got our pictures within 3 days. Excellent photographer. Excellent communication skills. All around great service. I'm from Albuquerque and well, can't resist the analogy so hear me out. Everyone knows someone who can hook you up. It's often cash only. And that's all I've got. So back to I was lucky. I was in a wedding for a friend that Stacee was shooting mere months before I proposed to my wife. And I was amazed with her and her assistant. They were a mix of everything you want: funny, good at what they do, and not just calm and collected but helpful beyond what could ever be expected. But what really got me was the way I saw her connect with my friend and his wife, I knew she was passionate about her work. So when it came time for my own wedding, there was no doubt: Stacee. And we couldn't be happier. Our engagement shoot was a fun jaunt through downtown LA and when we got the photos, we couldn't help but feel that sure enough- it captured who we are. For the wedding we threw a curve at Stacee. We not only wanted the reception and ceremony, but we were planning a little tour of LA in between, and wanted to see if she could capture the day at some of the iconic spots that have come to define our lives together in LA. And Stacee was up for the challenge. The most amazing photos came about as a result of that tour of LA, and it made us proud of our day, and happy for the way we showed off the city we love to our friends and family. Stacee captured that in a most beautiful way. So here's what you need to know: 1. She's damn good. Google her, look at the blog. Tell me I'm wrong. 2. What you can't see on the blog is this: She's one of the most amazing people we've had the chance to work with. Her personality is such that she took care of us before our wildest imagination and she handled the various politics from family to whatever else in incredible ways. 3. She's committed to her work. She was easy to communicate with. She was fast on the response. I can't say enough. So if you're looking for a photographer, think about Stacee. I for one think it's one thing to get great photos (which she can do- look at how she plays with light!) but your photographer is the vendor you'll spend the most time with- make sure it's someone you actually want to hang out with! For us, we couldn't have asked for anyone better than Stacee!
