This is my favorite theater, I drive in from Surprise for movies here. Today I met my daughter in law and granddaughter here and as always everything looked clean, people were friendly etc. My granddaughter dropped something that went between the chairs. Some may not know but the seat actually lifts up if you drop something. We'll when I lifted the seat, there was food, mainly popcorn, all under the seat. The floor under the chair was disgusting and sticky. I was shocked to see there hasn't been routine deep cleanings in the theaters. I was pretty disappointed to see that. Pretty grossed out actually. I normally would have given Harkins 5 stars but not now. When we arrived a young lady was cleaning the bathrooms she left before I started washing my hands. Three sinks later I found soap. Extremely dissapointed in what has happened here at my favorite Harkins. Food everywhere on the back counters. Staff seemed to not care and just walked over all the trash, I'm sure that has to be a slipping hazard. The theater was not overly busy and you can clearly see they have been simply sweeping the trash and popcorn into a big pile in clear view of customers. The area where they are making the food was equally as dirty. Wouldnt purchase any food from this theatre. So disappointing to see what is supposed to be a higher end movie going experience, turn into a lazy dirty facility. Might be time to go back to my local AMC theatre. read more

Love this theatre. Even though it needs some upkeep on chairs it's still clean and a nice place to watch a movie.

My boyfriend and I went to the movies to watch Inside Out 2 this weekend and where it was unfortunately one of the not so great visits. We were seated by 4 teens 3 girls and 1 boy with no adult supervision. Acting obnoxious the whole movie.. they were constantly laughing, talking loud on their phone, even took a phone call and a picture in our direction with flash during the movie. I was finally fed up with situation and I stepped out to get an employee. I explained what was going on and she was very sweet and went in after me. The teens at that point saw her coming and calmed down for a bit. She did let them know about their phones and to keep down but of course the moment she left they were back to it. I wish there was someone watching the audience during the films to kick out people like that or some kind of curfew. I couldn't even enjoy the movie with the constant chatter and phone screen that kept flashing. Inconsiderate people like this make it hard for me to want to go out to watch a movie in theater. read more

The General Manager called me after this event and really listened to my concerns. I felt like he adequately addressed them. I have been back a few times and I have not seen the employee who this event occurred with again. Back to the good service I expect from Harkin's. I am not sure if they have more staff now or the movies are just not that popular recently, but it seems like the lines at concessions have improved. Now if they can just solve the waiting in line for the popcorn refill we will all be winners. ;) read more

Theaters look so grand as you drive up to them. This theater was very nice, people are inviting and accommodating. Food is like most theaters, pretty expensive but part of the fun Of going to the movies; theaters are very clean and roomy. I had a poor experience collecting my food but was immediately phoned by management and awardees points for missing food. The movie was amazing, sound, amazing and seating very comfortable with adequate room. I will be back to see another movie! Great time read more

Every time I've gone, I've somehow managed to park pretty close, even at busy times. We moved to Litchfield Park a little over a year ago and have been going to this Harkins ever since. It is kept very clean and has a great atmosphere. Normally when we go the lines to get snacks and drinks are long, but Harkins popcorn is always worth the wait. Usually the employees take their time, not caring that you may be late to your movie. They aren't going anywhere. So what's the rush, right? This was finally not the case! We had the pleasure of getting into Sage's line. She was Excellent! She was kind, helpful and Fast! All of your employees should learn from her. You can be happy, positive and fast while working behind the counter at Harkins! I'm very happy that we finally have this amazing theatre opened up in my area!! The place is super nice and clean. The service is great and staff was is super friendly. What this theater has that not many others offer is an awesome bar close to the concession stands. I thought that was a nice touch in case people wanted a drink while waiting for their movie showtime. Good call on this one Harkins! I love how they let you pick your seats when purchasing your tickets. This way everyone is guaranteed their seats. It would make seating easier especially when going with a group of people. We don't have to feel rushed trying to buy food and heading into save seats. Another great thing is that their seats recline, an amazing feature to have. I get to lay back, eat my popcorn and enjoy my movie as if I'm right in my living room. The tickets only cost a little more than other theaters do, but its worth every penny of it. This theatre has been my favorite since it opened. I love the reclining seats and the availability of movies. The concession stands are long but it's good to see everyone out and about again. One tiny disappointment : my husband recently broke his leg and ALL of the handicapped parking (and there is a TON) was not available ! I had to drop him off and park pretty far away. Went here the other day to see "IT". Very impressed with this theater! Can't think of one bad thing to say about it. Some of my favorite things........... 1. No bed bugs (kidding, but not really...looking at you, Westgate!). 2. Brand new! 3. Any show before 6pm is $8.50. Sure, you might be able to find lower costs throughout the valley, but for the plushness and "newness" of this theater, it is well worth the cost! 4. Great huge screens and amazing sound! 5. Comfortable, reclining chairs! 6. Tons of parking very close to the theater. 7. Close enough to Surprise (15 minute drive or so). If I want to head to a theater to catch a movie, this will probably be my preferred location going forward. I am a huge fan of the AMC at Arrowhead, but it's always a hassle driving down Bell, parking and walking a ways to get to that theater etc. This theater is just as comfy, newer and almost closer when you factor in everything else. This Harkins is the best theater in the west valley. The seats are super comfortable, the theaters are always clean, the staff is super nice, and there is a bar! All the seats recline, and are reserved. No more bad seats! This theater also had the Ciné 1 theater. If you get a chance to see a movie in there, it is worth the extra cost. The screen is huge, and the sound system is Dolby Atmos; it really adds to the movie going experience. The only downside of this theater I would say is the concessions. There is always huge lines due to them being short staffed, and they are pretty slow to get everyone's items. I highly recommend this theater to anyone! read more

Estrella parkway harkens So what's the deal? Yes I watched frozen 2 with all 11 of my kids LOL. We arrived at the movie TEN MINUTES LATE. they started it without me. Now, I don't know how you were raised, but to me you don't start a meal until the WHOLE family is there. No ifs ands or buts. Heavily disappointed. Was not given any popcorn. I had to bring my own cup in order o be given any Vitamin Water. I was left outside waiting for my tickets because of the kiosk. In the freezing cold. Ironic, right? I was not offered any accommodation for them starting without me. Okay so I lied they didn't actually start without me but there was too many ads so hmph. Someone sat next to me and drank all my soda. This rude millennial had her Apple Watch on the whole time. What happened to no phone zone? Disgustang. --MOVIE REVIEW-- Personally, I did not shed a tear the whole movie. As a Christian mom of 11, of COURSE I heard the rumors about this movie. I was shocked when they were true- Kristoff has a 1980's esque rock solo. It was disturbing to say the least. I have a lot of brand loyalty and for that, I'll probably never go anywhere but a Harkins. But there were a couple rough points in my recent trip. One, my reclining chair was broken and I would just slip slowly down. Second, it's nice that the XL popcorn can be refilled, and I bought it. When I bought it they did ask me if I wanted to get my refill right now. But, I didn't want to carry around 2 bags. I was seeing a long movie and was going to get up in the middle. But when I got out to the line it was SOOOO long! I couldn't get a refill on the popcorn unless I missed at least 20 min of the movie. I wish they had a solution to this. Like, a special register for quick popcorn refills especially if you insist on getting my phone number and everything. read more

Purchased an XL popcorn and cashier didn't put in our rewards number. Asked for a refill on our XL popcorn and he said he couldn't because the rewards number has to be input BEFORE the purchase is concluded. He went and asked a manager and they said NOPE, NO REFILL! Even though they can see I have an awards account and it was not our fault the number wasn't input before the purchase was concluded. I would also like to add, that we never even left the counter. This all happened at once. Do you know where this isn't an issue? AMC Theaters Update: Also, no refills on fountain drinks. The menus reads $2 refills. The Loyalty Cup refill option was blacked out. Asked for a $2 refill, and we were told no. Again, this is not an issue at AMC as you can refill your own cup as many times as you'd like. This will be the last time Harkins gets our money. First visit - very disappointing! Spent $11 on popcorn - free refill same day visit. Later stood in line for almost 30 minutes to get refill. Employees very slow - chit chatting- take sweet time - not caring they had 10* people in each line. Finally got to front and was told I had to have a rewards card for free popcorn. There is a rewards symbol by popcorn - however, it is not clear. Was asked when we bought popcorn if had rewards card. Said no. Was never offered card or told the free popcorn wouldn't be valid. The markup is ridiculous on soda and popcorn at a theater but we suck up and pay for it. They couldn't provide any customer service to me by explaining, offering a rewards card, or refilling my popcorn. Won't be a returning customer. read more

Very nice theater, great staff. Lines for food can get long, so plan accordingly. Took my kids to see the new Spider Man movie, and I selected the wrong seats (too close to the screen.) The manager completely saved me, unblocked some seats and put my kids and I in the third to back row with a great view. He saved my movie night with my kids!!! Absolutely love this theatre always clean and great seating. I'm so glad Harkins made this a all lounge recliner theatre as well as all assigned seating which cuts down in the long waits before the movie to hopefully get a seat that's decent. Now you can show up 5 minutes before the movie and know that your seat is there. The only downside is the parking just never seems like there is enough parking for when the place is super busy. They do also have a bar inside the theatre just in case you need a drink which is cool. read more

Why have I not been to this theatre before today? That's exactly what I'm asking myself after today. This location is HUGE! The parking lot is just as massive. Easy to get to. Very clean inside and out. The ticket ordering at the window is easy, but frustrating Witt having to pick the seats. Hate to say it, but I miss the days where people got off their ass and just bought tickets first come first serve and not online. I get it time is money and this may is the future, but some still want less electronic action. It would be cool to pick the seats when you get to the theatre and not have to order online hours early to figure it out. We did have to sit in the front rows which make for less of an experience for my family. I know it sounds like a negative review to this point, but it's not. Like I said ordering at the window was easy and no long waiting for snacks and drinks because they had full staff. Our theatre was clean, large and the seats make it awesome. So much room, not crowded together, you can lay back, relax, and enjoy. Be prepared to pay a bit more for these luxuries and again if you don't want to get stuck in the lame front rows make sure you order online ahead of time because you'll be wasting your time trying to get seats farther back....especially on a rainy weekend like this one. read more

I nearly froze while watching 3 hr long Oppenheimer. I reported being extremely cold and management stated they would adjust the air conditioner which he stated was set at 75 degrees. Couldn't be 75, felt more like 60 degrees. It seems to have felt better inside after that but soon I was back to freezing. read more

Each manager is different and the male manager is super rude And certainly not a great representation of Harkins Theaters at Estrella! I took my grandson to his first movie last week for the summer fun movies. Tried to bring him back the week to see his 2nd movie and was told I need to show up the same day to purchase the tickets . This is totally a different process than just the week before when I purchased tickets from a female manager. It is one thing to have a policy and follow it however, when you change from one week to the next, it is completely frustrating and unprofessional. As for the managers, the female manager was so helpful and kind and had wonderful customer service. The male manager was rude, arrogant and spoke to me in a condescending tone. Maybe I should expect poor customer service from companies now, however, I thought Harkins may be different. .... And just a side note, when we arrived at the movies last week, the line for the concession stand took 45 minutes to get through and the line at the customer service was almost to the door. With Harkins opening at 9:00 and the movie starting at 9:45, I'm not sure how they think people can just walk up the day of to buy a ticket for a movie that the week before only had approximately 20 people in the theater. I always come to this theater but recently I have seen a downhill trend with the management. I saw a male manager completely yell at a poor girl working behind the counter. He seemed like a younger guy but has a power high. I can't believe a GM would ever allow for his management to treat their employees so bad. I have waited and waited for this theater to open and the time has finally come. My family literally moved to Goodyear 10+ years ago and was told a theater and mall were right around the corner. Only waiting on the mall now. :) Family and I caught a flick today at 2pm and the opening weekend crowd was pumping. The building as could be expected was beautiful. The interior has a modern feel and ample space. This theater has the cine 1, the largest screen in Arizona. I did sneak a peek given my movie was in another room and the screen was huge. I hope to return soon to experience the cine 1. The theater seats are reclining and comfortable. I have to say that in my opinion the AMC arrowhead seats are more comfortable. The sound and picture was great. Food options are the standard movie fare but they added many other newer options in things like Oreo churro, Newcastle burgers, etc. there is a very nice bar that I will be sure to visit in the future. This weekend only they are offering free scratches for some free grub. We were able to get free popcorn and soda. Overall, my family and I loved the theater and it is so nice to have a beautiful theater in Goodyear. We will visit again and again and again. read more

FINALLY, SOMETHING NEW AND COOL ADDED TO THE WEST VALLEY! Yes, it's a movie theater but I truly enjoyed my experience here. I would say that this Harkins theater is different from other theaters because it has more of a luxurious touch to it. The theater itself is massive, with many movie rooms including Cine 1, which is rumored to be the largest screen in Arizona. Also, with no senior it student discount, a regular ticket lands at $11.00. The food was really good, expensive, really but good. We got French fries and the Oreo churros which was $4.50 an order. It was almost not worth it because of the price and the portion size but all in all, it was quite tasty. Besides, it's expected that any movie theater or any other entertainment center's food is set to be pricey right? My first movie here was Girl on the Train, which was a GREAT movie, but my experience was so much more enhanced here. These cushioned seats reclined with a very nice leg rest! They were leather and massive, and the arm rest is definitely shareable that'll prevent those awkward hair tickles from sharing an arm rest with some stranger. I'd say because this theater is close to home, my recent visit was a positive experience, and my love for movies will make me a definite regular. WOOT! read more

After waiting months and months it's finally open!! Eeeeeee! Positives: We were so happy to finally go to the new Harkins by our house!! We love the recliner seats at AMC Arrowhead and much prefer to have our assigned seats ahead. It is a bit of a drive to Arrowhead from Goodyear so we have been eagerly awaiting this new theater. We were not disappointed! We did not pick the movie on the huge screen but we will do that next visit.. it is supposed to be amazing in there. The regular theater we went to was very large with perfect sound and comfy seats. I must say that I think the AMC Arrowhead seating is a big more luxurious and comfy.. but overall these seats are still leather recliners with a ton of space. I can't complain. They do have a bar you can order drinks at. They don't have the restaurant style menu but they do have some items on their menu like pizza and some quick eats. Negatives: None! We gladly welcome this new theater to Goodyear!!! read more

I came in today on their grand opening! Today it's free candy, free popcorn, and free drinks! How can I complain? I love luxury seating in movie theatres. This luxury theatre also has a wide variety of food and drinks, including alcoholic drinks. I've never seen Oreo churros at a theatre before so of course I had to try them...yummy! I also like to put jalapeños in my popcorn, but usually theatres are stingy with their jalapeños when I ask. This theatre gave me 6 packs of jalapeños and told me to come back if I needed more. Mr. Harkins himself even came to our theatre and spoke on the amazing features of the auditorium...great personal touch on their opening! The screens are huge and the sound system is amazing. 5 stars! read more

May I say "Fancy" I loved the recliners. I felt like I had some privacy. I was comfortable that I could have easily fallen asleep if it's not because I was excited to watch the movie! I feel like they should probably add more arcade games for the kiddos, but otherwise I liked going there. read more
