We've visited this location in the past, but it had been a while since our last trip. Recently, my husband and I decided to book tickets to see the Michael movie in the IMAX theater at AMC Theatres. The staff was very friendly, both at the concession stands and when entering the theater, which we truly appreciated. However, once we were seated in the IMAX auditorium--while the lights were still on--we noticed that the theater had not been cleaned thoroughly. There was paper, leftover food, candy, and popcorn left between and behind several seats. This was disappointing, as cleanliness is especially important in a movie theater setting. Theaters should be properly cleaned between each showing, with a more thorough cleaning completed regularly. As a suggestion to management, it would be beneficial to ensure staff are consistently cleaning between movies and conducting deeper cleanings throughout the week. This includes removing all leftover food and trash from between and behind seats, as well as disinfecting seating areas. Overall, while the customer service was great, improved attention to cleanliness would make the experience much better. Also a tip to download the app sign up for their rewards to earn points for purchases and also if you would like to avoid fees when buying concessions and or a movie tickets online you can sign up for one of their reward programs for $18 a year and get half off of your movie tickets on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. ONLY Gripe I have is movie started literally 35 minutes late and had to ask for someone to turn it on. Seats were cleaned even cup holders, seats weren't beat up like most amc's I've seen in the valley and across the country, you can tell this theater was taken care of with pride and the staff show that. Movie was over and the usher was right there ready to square away the movie theater and seen another doing the same for another movie near by so I'm not saying it was due to a late movie start. Restrooms were clean shockingly and well stocked. All the pop machines worked and popcorn was warm. If you are a AMC stubs member either make sure your photo is on your app or have extra hands to show your ID it was a littler tricky having a large tub of popcorn and a large pop grabbing a phone for a ticket scan and than grabbing a ID with no where to set it down at. read more

I was pretty excited to check out the new Scream and this was as well my first time visiting this AMC location. I definitely had expectations for a good visit and that was my downfall here. They didn't even have enough of their movie supplies to sell on the launch day of Scream 7 it was so disappointing. They had one cup left to sell. One cup. Now knowing this would likely be the case as well in the future I'll definitely be keeping my money and just watching movies at home unless I really need to see it on a huge screen. This is a great movie theater. There is plenty of free parking, and adjacent restaurants for dinner before a movie. There is a full bar, and concession stand with a lot of great things to eat and drink. The two real standout features of this theatre, though, are the friendly staff and COMFORTABLE leather recliners. read more

I came out here because I had some free time & this was the only theater with a showtime during. When I got here I realized that I'm pretty sure this used to be a "Cinemark" theater and AMC did absolutely nothing to upgrade the look or smell of it. It's basically a do it yourself location. You butter your own popcorn, fill your own drinks. If I'm going out on a hot date I'm not trying to make me own stuff!! Especially not with their prices!!! And speaking of prices, it's almost $8.00 for a tiny hot dog that I could've bought a whole pack of and had all 8 and money left over!! Nothing exciting about their food or popcorn which wasn't very popcorn tasting. I literally had almost a full regular bag at the end of the movie and I can eat popcorn. I think the employees are time by get em in and get em out because I felt rushed by both of the cashiers I talked to & I felt like I caught an eye roll from the blonde when I asked for a box for my popcorn. I guess I just expected higher standards from AMC but this was a "NO for me dog!!!" Does not recommend. Will never return. I haven't been inside a movie theatre since 2018. Mostly due to the time used by covid and with streaming, it's just better comfort at home. BUT I came today to see Alien. It came out in 1979 and unfortunately I've had to wait this long to see it on the big screen. Was wonderful! I bought my ticket and chose my seat online and while there I was able to view the food menu, YIKES!! Now I've on occasion would buy popcorn and a soda but this visit alone that was $17! That's crazy!! A hotdog was almost $10, now that's ridiculous! That make up is insane. So back to this location, employees were friendly enough and the theatre was clean. I feel like the reclining seats are smaller since I've last gone to the movies but who knows? Maybe I'm bigger? lol I would come back but only if I REALLY wanted to see something on the big screen. It only took my family and I year to check out this theatre!! Always assumed it was further away and have always been frequent movie goers at FatCats but lately their theatre has been way too busy especially with school being out. we went on a Wednesday and not much traffic at all. Few movie goers here snd there..I love all the wide parking spots no need to worry about door dings and ample parking! From what I saw the plaza had few eateries, nail salon , Cold Stone ice cream. Walking into the Lobby it was nice and bright. However, lobby could use a bit of upkeep , sweeping the popcorn off the floor or picking up the miscellaneous trash from straws or simply blown away napkins. Customer service was friendly and inviting. We've always loved AMC popcorn and their frozen drinks so that was a definite hit!! Theatre was kept clean, floors were not sticky nor was the cup holders and seats were comfy! Overall experience we will definitely be frequenting this theatre!! read more

I have not been here in a while. I took a much needed day off and came to see Black Panther: Wakanda Forever with hubby. The movie was amazing, brilliant, touching and inspiring. Staff are friendly! Restroom was fresh and clean. I gave only 5 stars because the flatbread pizza was not great. Yes, it's frozen the microwaved so what should I expect. lol Overall, they have upgraded the facilities. I've enjoyed every time I come to this theater. We usually watch movies in the standard auditoriums, so I can't speak to the IMAX auditoriums. The standard has comfortable reclining seats! The overall theater is usually pretty clean and less packed than neighboring theaters. I saw a handful of the negative reviews highlighted the 30 minutes of previews and high food prices. Though I agree, this is a consistent characteristic in any Harkins and AMC theaters. In fact, I don't think I've ever been to a theater (apart from the Glendale Drive-in) where this wasn't the case. If you join their AMC Stubs free tier you get discounts on Tuesday as well as free refill on large popcorn, so that's cool and can balance out the highlighted issues. read more

Madison, the manager, is an angel. Our movie was mistakenly Spanish-dubbed instead of English. Madison promptly offered a refund. Since we walked to the theater, we offered to pay the difference for a 3D showing an hour later so we wouldn't have to walk back home. Madison graciously provided two free tickets for the 3D showing. I ordered a regular popcorn and two ice WATERS and it cost $26 because they insisted on charging the waters as regular fountain drinks. As a stark contrast, when I've visited Harkins Theater in the past, they've given me the ice waters for free. My wife and I have gone to this theater quite a few times in hopes it will improve. But it's really going down hill. The main area lobby is ALWAYS filthy trash on the floor. BATHROOMs are ALWAYS filthy. Went to watch our movie and the theater wasn't even cleaned. There was trash all over the floor, on our assigned seats. It was disgusting. Not to mention the people who are going here as well. Every time I go I'm always sitting next to someone with poor hygiene. Tired of people talking during the movie. I loved the reserved seating & spacing. The seats were comfortable. The IMAX theater (theater 14) was conveniently located next to the women's bathroom & directly across from the men's bathroom. I really appreciated the order ahead popcorn & I suspect if you ordered other nosh, it would be just as convenient. I liked the fact that the popcorn I ordered had a small cup of butter with it & salt packets so I could butter & salt as desired. I'm also pleased to say the WW84 commemorative tin was actually a decent size & metal, not plastic or rubber which was awesome. I felt very comfortable until other people came into the theater. My problem is that many people were not wearing their masks appropriately & I recognize many were eating or drinking throughout but at the same time, there is no reason one cannot put the mask back on in between. I would return here but maybe to an earlier or later show to avoid crowds & people with a blatant disregard for the virus & other people. read more

The staff is young, friendly and although the food is pricy, it's always tasty! Especially the flat bread pepperoni pizza. For $10 a year, we signed up for their program which gives us $5 on your birthday and no charge to purchase tickets online. Also, they offer cheaper tickets on Tuesday's and 30% off before 4pm. Oops- they're ASSIGNED SEATS this year, so had I known that I'd have purchased our seats before we arrived. We got stuck sitting in the very front row. Nonetheless, the seats reclined and even had a seat warmer. I'd never seen the seat warmer in theaters before. This is also one of the smaller movie theaters I've come across in a long while. They may have been understaffed, not sure, but we bought our tickets AND concessions all in one line. Had a small delay as the cashier had trouble redeeming my gift certificate vouchers. The actual ticket counter was barricaded haphazardly with clutter. They have a small bar off to the right when you enter. I've only visited this theater during the holidays, but each time it looks very disheveled. If you're not fussy about tidiness, AMC works out just fine for a family movie night. Wasn't a fan of their popcorn. My three stars are possibly a bit generous considering how movie theaters have come a long ways (California sets the bar high) but a great flick, reclining seats, a seat's heat warmer and their pretzel bites with the best nacho cheese left our family content. read more

This was our first theater experience, post-cpvid, and we found everything to be clean and tidy. There was one disappointment, tho. The $15 nacho combo was just a prepackaged container of mini tostitos and two prepackaged cups of tostitos nacho cheese. Whatever happened to the days when they had hot thick white corn chips cradled in a paper tub which they would then ladle scalding nacho cheese sauce all over? The past two times I have visited this theater there was NO Soda, NO Butter, NO Straws! Attendants were running around like chickens with their heads cut off while people were piling up waiting to grab drinks and butter their popcorn before their shows started. There is one attendant trying to service the premier and standard lines. One attendant I believe was working hot orders but when there wasn't any didn't do anything to help her teammates. This is Covid excuse BS and needs to stop. They need to fire bad employees and hire good replacement employees! read more

Where do we start? Let's start with pricing. It's a bit high considering you're in basically a stable, it's not ambient whatsoever. You can watch a movie in downtown for seven dollars. We paid about 22 dollars for two tickets to Barbie. Also popcorn. It's stale. I asked for a fresh batch and they didn't even bother cooking new stuff just mixed it around for hotter kernels. Huge health concern, I vomited immediately after trying to digest. I forced bulimia I hate doing that. Eat a Kiwi or something. No attendants at the lobby sometimes no greeting to enter the showings. Also who plays previews for 30 mins, just say the showing is at 7:30 not 7. It added to my sickness because the audio was bad and the picture not focused or HD. It's been FOREVER since I've been to an actual theatre. Today we decided to take our youngest kids to see a movie. Concessions still freaking expensive and service not the best, but we did love the cleanliness of the theatre and the new improved reclining and heated seats. After tickets, drinks and such it was over $110 and that was a matinee. Long gone are the days of taking your entire family to the movies at an affordable cost. Waited for 5 minutes until he wasn't busy, no one in line, told him I had a pick up order, told him my name he didn't respond, grabbed cups and slapped them on the counter, gave us popcorn and said nothing. Friend bought two tickets online for the first-day showing of AFTER DEATH with assigned seating, but when we arrived, there was no record for the purchase. Very nice staff member managed to confirm the purchase and get us close to the original assigned seat locations. Once seated, we realized that one of the reclining seats would not work, but these were our assigned seats and the rest of the row was full. Showtime was posted as 1:30 p.m., but the previews and REPETITIVE COMMERCIALS took well over 30 minutes--including three showings each of a backyard pooper scooper service ad and another three showings of a female hair removal ad--I kid you not. There were also numerous ads about patronizing AMC theaters in general--hey, I'm already doing that, so I don't need any more annoying reminders! You can safely show up 25 minutes after the posted start time and skip all that. read more

The 3D glasses were reused and not clean with lots of scratches. Then, they let us in and it was still dark. The movie stopped shortly after it began and a customer finally went out and told management. . They got the movie running again. Then the house lights came on during the movie and stayed on until a customer went out and told management. Very poorly ran operation. Will not return. read more

This AMC, along with many other AMC's does not upkeep their location. Seats are always damaged, and equipment such as projectors and speakers often malfunction. On top of that AMC has this new trend of playing 30 minutes of trailers so a 1:00 movie won't start until at least 1:30, sometimes even later. I would not suggest any AMC for anyone. read more
