Signs are not easy to read but I did finally find it after parking and walking around a bit. As you can see from my photo it is fairly nice inside, pretty much a typical 'doctor waiting room.' I was called back to get the evaluation started about 15 minutes after my appointed time. Lots of X-Rays, then a quick exam by the Endodontist. She explained that I did in fact need that root canal but she would be able to save the existing crown. She answered all my questions thoroughly and I was ready to get this thing done ASAP. However, ASAP is almost two weeks later. Can't be helped, they simply had no openings until then. I feel confident from my brief visit that I will be in good hands. I'll just keep pounding the Motrin and Tylenol until then.

She was there every moment and catered to my every need. She was so polite and knew her business keeping me comfortable. Meanwhile Dr Chavez was carefully working on the extraction. Told me jokes to ease my mind but I had no pain other than having to keep my mouth open. I just knew that when I got home and the Novocain wore off I would be in pain but didn't happen. Dr Chavez gave me some steroids to help the healing of the gum where he had to put in a couple of stitches. I make it a habit to know what services I receive and what kind of benefits that are associated with the services through insurance. Yesterday, I received a bill in the mail (first time) saying that I owe almost $2,000. (The bill has no information of any kind explaining where this amount is coming from) So, naturally I was concerned and called the dentist office immediately. This is the first time I am seeing or hearing this amount billed to me. I spoke to a newly hired office employee that explained to me that I had been carrying a balance for almost 2 years for services that were rendered. Everytime I get any kind of treatment or service, I make it a habit to PAY IN FULL the amount that is owed the date services are rendered. If not, then I set up a PAYMENT PLAN to cover any remaining amount the date services are rendered. The young lady on the phone explained to me EOB's that are covered through insurance and the remaining amounts are billed to the clients. My questions were why am I just now receiving a bill? Why are you threatening to send me to collections in 10 days if the bill is not paid in full? Why did I not receive a statement, phone call, or bill prior? Why would I continue to get services/ treatment at an establishment if I have an open balance? Why doesn't the bill show detailed information about what was billed for and why? The billing system that created this document hasn't been updated since 2022 showing the lack of monitoring the billing system has. (Shown at the bottom of the bill) Keep in mind, I received this bill (for the first time) 12/23/24. Two days before Christmas. Judging by the past reviews of disgruntled prior existing patients, it seems that I am not the only one who has had issues with the billing department and the LACK OF TRANSPARENCY through billing. I would never agree to pay for services, NOT knowing the full amount that is due at the time of services. This type of business practice appears to be shady and not forthcoming. This kind of business practice literally leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

Gangs of New York style doctors. I am a Texan who went to this business as a child growing up and then my doctors retired. I recently found a WOMAN who has been a dentist for over 25 years who was nice to me. She just gave me a night guard and sent me on my way. These doctors want us to pay them lots of money and they dont actually want to save your teeth. I know that because the doctors that used to work at this place named Lutrell and Gomillion told me dentists like to have you with bad teeth so they can make money. Don't trust dentist, vets and doctors always. Especially when they are mean to you and don't care about you at all. Like these men acted randomly towards me. As a mom and as a lady? I have never felt such disgusted and disdain as both of these dentist acted towards me just for being late driving in to an appointment. I was shocked the ladies working there for 20 years did not get vacations and bonuses. If the men took over that office go ask them if they got anything for Christmas the first 3 years. Instead of vacations they didn't get anything and I asked them. I asked the short doctor if he gave them anything there is a photo right there of the employees in Hawaii and my previous doctor did that. He said oh maybe we should do something- this was 3 years into their takeover. I have a great woman who has been doing teeth for as long as Gomillion and Luttrel and literally went to high school with their employees. I had my child and my mom's birthday and frankly they could have just said nice words. But only those who are nice and have nice people skills are capable of doing that. It's a gift to a few and a skill learned by many. It's odd when they are not my boss & they can't even care for their own employees openly and brag about it to me at all. Never artificially written. Written by me after getting great care from a 25 year long dentist who was professional kind and wanted their patients to morally and ethically be ok. I think a long time ago they could have literally called and said I'm sorry you felt that way but maybe their mom and dad never taught them to have any manners at all? Who knows. Do better men. The dental hygienists have always been patient and compassionate with my sensitivity. The front desk staff are always friendly.
