Obsessed with this place !!! it has such great lighting for selfies, there is DELICIOUS amazingly crafted coffee and other drinks. I had the most delicious vegan carrot ginger soup, one weird thing was that they didn't have pepper to add to it. The Free Wifi code is written on the walls in Chalk which is so trendy. There are multiple options of seating and even a community table. Outside of having unreal espresso they also have pastries and a few pre made items like wraps, granola, grapes etc. Love the succulents !! be care ful when you are walking into the bathroom its a little slippery. Delicious dirty chai! Wonderful and friendly service. There are only two people that work here right now and both are amazing. Cute backroom seating. They're eventually supposed to get artisan breads too. They sell oatmeal and a small variety of health bars too. Populace doesn't really use machines. They use boiling water, carafes and filters. It's really cool. The barista said they were going to expand...cant wait to see it. I believe she was the owner. I didnt know this place even existed til Yelp. Thank you, fellow Yelpers! And to the Yelper that tipped off to the almond milk, it makes for a delicious mocha. Bay City has quite a few little coffeehouses, but I highly suggest supporting this local business. Great place! Cute vibe, good coffee, great food (try the lemon scone!) and really nice staff! Cute set up - spent the morning working here (in the area from Chicago and needed a home base for the day). The one thing I would comment is that there's a front and a back section - the front is by the door, the back is cozy. I started in the back in the earlier morning and then midway through they came and started a fire in this fire pit thing. The other day I had met a friend who kept on commenting that she smelled like a campfire (and she did!) because of a cute coffee shop that has this fire pit thing. I guess I found the fire pit coffee shop! It was a really strong campy smell and within a few minutes I moved up front as I leave tomorrow and don't want to be on a plane smelling like a campfire:). The front was pretty chilly, but I didn't smell the fire up front like I did the back. So just a mental note in the cooler days that you might leave smelling like a campfire! But if I was local, I'd just risk it and put my clothes in the washer when I got home:). read more

I worked in Bay City last summer, and Harless & Hugh was a weekly (ok maybe daily) staple. Now I live an hour and a half away, and all I can do is dream about this place until I happen to be in the area again. I've tried a few different things, but an iced sea salt caramel almond milk latte is my go-to. The almond milk and caramel work really well together and give it an incredible depth of flavors while making it super smooth and creamy. When I worked in the area I tried their tacos on Taco Tuesday, and I'd highly recommend. They change weekly, so if you happen to be around on a Tuesday, I'd say it's worth checking out. The interior is very cool and modern, with a nice mix of new and old. I now work at a coffee shop, but H+h is still my favorite. I don't know how they do what they do, but I hope they keep on doing it. read more

Spent an afternoon here. It was a lovely experience. I had the nitro cold brew mixed with some of their root beer. Wonderful drink. My barista was named Luke and he was so incredibly kind and personable. I would come back just to see him - he conversed wonderfully with me and my friends. We felt like we'd known him for ages. The decor was minimal and streamlined with boho elements. Very on trend for interiors as of late. I'd love to come back, and I hope to many times this summer! read more

I'm not a big fan of the coffee here. It would be nice if they had a blended coffee option, rather than just iced. The hot chocolate, however, is great. It tastes exactly like a Dove chocolate. The Italian sodas are also pretty good, but overpriced, and they don't usually have all of the flavors available. read more

I ordered the guatamala coffee and loved it.the food they have sounds super delicious and I think it's all vegan.I know a lady who loves this place and she always gets the Turkey wrap.. they have one that was a Buffalo vegan wrap (can't remember what was in it)and it sounded AMAZING! THINKING ABOUT TRYING IT TOMORROW! I was surprised by the prices as I thought it was gonna be more expensive.
