After having fasted for the last 14 hrs I stopped for breakfast after my Dr. appt. Wasn't very busy and sat right down. When brought and drink order taken. Coffee was hot. Ordered the 2X2 eggs, pancakes, bacon and sausage and an order of 2 biscuit and gravy Togo. My order showed up in about 5 minutes. Everything was hot and looked good. The bacon looked a little bit sad but tasted great as did everything else. It's just a small town diner, locally owned putting out some good food. They only do breakfast and lunch except Fridays they do an AYCE fish fry which is pretty good too. Check em out. read more

Just had breakfast at Harley's Café and I've got to say--places like this are rare. Even after being in the hospital, they didn't forget me. They kept my USS Kitty Hawk coffee cup just like I never left, and the welcome back I got meant more than I can put into words. The coffee was hot, the food was perfect, and the kindness was real. This trip begins with attending a funeral and dropping off a package to a family member. After dropping the package off and meeting with the family member gir a bit, the hubby and I were both getting hungry, so the hubby scoped out some places to eat and came across Harley's. I got the nachos supreme(not bad, but not my favorite) and fruit salad(which ended up being canned peaches.Which was fine with me) and a Dr Pepper to drink. My husband ordered the chili cheeseburger and tater tots with sweet tea to drink. It was a nice end to our day. The servers were very nice and full of Funny Friday mode. The vibe of this place seems to be more of a neighborhood favorite in the community. read more

This is a nice local diner to visit for a nice and inexpensive meal. We had breakfast and some tried the Indian taco too. The sausage patties and bacon were cooked to perfection. Mom tried the link sausage and thought it looked like some cheap brown and serve it had a great flavor. The French toast was okay as well as the eggs. Pancakes were big and tasty too. Service was quick and friendly. Overall it's a good vibe to get a quick bite. I'll definitely be back. Oh and the fry bread from the Indian taco is the absolute best part! read more

This is a great spot for breakfast. My egg was fried exactly as I ordered (over easy), the bacon was cooked and chewy (yummy), the hash browns were delicious, the coffee was hot, and perfect biscuits! Wow. The service is always fast and friendly. Just a lazy little diner, but it's very yummy!!! My only suggestion would be to replace the vegetable oil spread with real butter. Amazing diner! read more

I wanted to love this place; an old fashioned diner right down the street from our new house. What we experienced was mediocre food, and horrible service, but at good prices. We're unlikely to return. The experience: My wife and I thought the place wasreally cute, loved the 'back-in-the-day' atmosphere, and looked forward to eating the first of what we hoped would be many breakfasts. We were asked (very curtly) about drinks by a very unfriendly woman who did not smile, said nothing more than what was necessary, and seemed to see us as an inconvenience. A different person then took our order. She was no warmer than the first: rolling her eyes from time to time, and demonstrating a very obvious irritation at waiting on us. For our part, we were stunned. We came in smiling, were polite (even friendly) with these two, and never did anything that we imagined would elicit this type of reaction. When the food arrived, some items were cold, not everything we ordered was there, and my sausage patties were bone dry and nearly hard enough to be hockey pucks. When I nicely asked for the sausage to be replaced, I was informed by our (now exceedingly unfriendly) waitress, that she'd bring them back, but informed me that the replacements probably wouldn't be any better. My wife was met with sighs from the waitress when she mentioned her (so far) missing items. She got her food, but the new sausage never materialized. The whole time we were there, noone ever greeted us, smiled, asked us if we needed anything, or gave any indication they cared that we existed - other than to the degree that we were unwelcome for some reason. We were not asked how everything was, or told to come back when we paid, despite giving the waitress a 20% tip (a pure courtesy, as she earned none of it) and maintaining our friendly demeanor and manners. I have no idea how a place like this stays open operating like this unless our treatment was specific to us - in which case I have no earthly idea what we even could have done to earn such disdain. Although probably not the cheapest cafe/ diner in town, I believe Harleys brings southern comfort in a hectic life. You are welcomed coming in the door and invited to sit anywhere you please. Have been traveling the last 8 months and this place has the greatest breakfast! Big homemade biscuits, well seasoned gravy...and the prices are incredibly low! Two of us had breakfast, 1 coffee and it was only $11.00 after the senior discount!!! I could eat there every day. Wait staff was very friendly.
