We waited maybe 30 seconds before we were taken to a room and met with a delightful, knowledgeable vet tech about 2 minutes later. She took Sadie's info and then they vet came in to do a full exam and had a treatment plan for where to go from there. The whole visit took maybe 45 minutes including X-rays. They were quick, thorough and reassuring. The Vet, vet tech, and front desk staff were all so incredibly kind in a moment of anxiety for me. I'm so thankful for them! The space was very clean and it was clear every member of the staff was incredibly knowledgeable on any issue that could come about with a pet. If you're in a moment of panic after your vet is closed, this is the place to go!

I hope this place and Dr. Chris Knoebel's caring and high quality approach to veterinarian medicine expands in Des Moines. One of our dogs go here for a heart condition - our first emergency, and the first time they treated her, they fit us in the day before Christmas Eve, the very last half hour that they were open. Dr K was very upfront with us to tell us that our dog could pass away any time. Despite that, the team at MacRae has done their very best to help us give her the best care possible, without charging us a fortune even though they could. To date, in the last few months, they've probably saved my dog's life twice already. I'm forever grateful; they've really earned my trust. Highly recommend!
