If I could rate a 0, I would. I don't normally rate very low but Ryan really pissed me off. I bought a deal off Dealswarm back in March. I waited until summer to use it since the expiration date isn't until September 28th. In July, I made a call to Ryan, leaving several messages. When he finally reached me, I was at the store. He said he was booked in August and had a date and time in early September, actually the 1st. Last week, I called to verify with him and I left several messages and he NEVER returned my calls. When I finally was able to reach him. He wasn't able to locate me for any appointments. WTF! Seriously. When he was finally able to "find" me, he claims to have me down for October 1st. Whatever. My voucher has expiration for September 28th, why would I make an appointment AFTER that? He claims that I made a reservation online. HE LIED! AND PUT ME DOWN FOR AFTER THE EXPIRATION DATE. He said I could pay extra and be seen. I was so upset. I contacted Dealswarm about the issue. Ryan still never made any contact with me to re-schedule, even after Dealswarm tried to contact them for Ryan to re-schedule with me. Therefore, Dealswarm is reimbursing me. I went to many reviews about this place and many were negative with them saying Ryan is rude and also scheduling on different dates than what was said. Back in the summer, I bought a Bloomspot coupon for a trail ride for four people as a gift for my friend's birthday. I booked a reservation online earlier this week and received a confirmation email and phone call from the owner to confirm the ride for today at 1:45pm. We got there on time, despite terrible Atlanta traffic and an hour drive from Decatur, only to wait for an hour and NO ONE showed up at the barn. Two other people who had booked trail rides waited as well. I gave it a try for 2 weeks but the guy never answered nor returned my calls. I also tried emailing but again no response. I googled the business and found horrible reviews. Harmony N Horsemanship looks like the same business and after seeing a deal on LivingSocial, a trail ride for 2 for $59, I felt compelled to write a reivew. Shakhur as we named him was sold three times in a short time and when I saw him just the look in his eye told me he had a great heart. Long story short with feed and worming the true horse started to come out. I thought that who ever started him must have beat him. Well after reading the other reviews here, I really wish I had thought to research this business before purchasing a voucher from "Half Off Depot.com" for a riding lesson and trail ride. I too like many others here have not been able to get this business to respond to phone messages left or emails sent, regarding booking my lesson. I then thought I had finally got a booking by using the business's online scheduling tool and received a confirmation via email only to have that appt cancelled 2 days later with no explanation, apology or offer of an alternative day. I know there are some frustrated folks that are using the coupons and having trouble with RGH (formerly HNH), but my experience is specific to Ryan's ability to train horses. I took my TWH to Ryan... it took me 2 hours to get her in the horse trailer to get her there. She hated trailering and just would not get in. I almost gave up trying to get her to Ryan. I am SO glad I did not. She has been with Ryan about 30 days. I go to see her every weekend and Ryan gives me her progress. OMG!!! I can't tell you how much he's done for her. She is a good, sound horse but had little 'glitches' besides not trailering. She didn't stand extremely well for saddling, for the farrier, for mounting... and she is suppose to be a gaited horse but I could not get her to gait. Go to RG Horsemanship facebook site and see the pictures (posted by Gwen). She stands, she isn't afraid of tarps, she loaded in my trailer THE FIRST TIME Ryan led her to it. https://www.facebook.com... She's starting to learn the other gaits that are particular to her breed - it's exciting to watch her. She stands quietly with a tarp flying around her and mounts quietly. I trust Ryan with my horse - he uses gentle methods that focus on a confident relationship with your horse. I am a real person... email with any questions. TERRIBLE! JUST AWFUL! I purchased a deal from Living Social for a 1 hour horseback ride for two. I emailed and left message several times and got no response. I finally got a response on my second email requesting the times available and this was the ENTIRE email I got back: "tuesday to suday at 12, 3 AND 430" Yes, not even a full sentence, spelling errors, no capital. Anyway, I emailed and called AGAIN to actually MAKE A RESERVATION and guess what? They NEVER got back to me at all!!!! Don't waste your money. BEWARE! BEWARE!! I WOULDN'T GIVE ANY STARS!!! I bought voucher on Crowdsavings.com, Afterwards, I looked online and saw a LOT of negative reviews about this company, I should have checked reviews prior to buying. I decided to hope for the best. When the weather started warming up, I began calling to make appointment for my daughter and I to use the vouchers. Website stated the office hours were M-F 11:00am-3:00pm. After numerous calls during these times and ALWAYS getting machine, I had left several messages. I FINALLY got a return call from Emily, this was in May. She stated they were booked up several months in advance. My daughter was going out of town for the summer but coming back in July. I wanted a Saturday appointment and she scheduled us for 7/28/12 from 12:30-2:30. As the date approached, I tried calling to confirm appointment and could never get an answer or return call. Yesterday, Saturday morning, the day of our appointment, I called and again left message wanting to confirm and said I will be there at scheduled time. Upon arriving, there was a locked gate at the entrance with sign saying rides by appointment only. I tried to call from there but no cell service. I went under fence and down towards barn. There was a small dingy looking shack (house or barn) with car in front. I had to climb under another fence and began knocking on the door. I heard a dog barking and then heard a voice. Finally Ryan, the owner, came to door and first thing he said was what are you doing here, there's no trespassing. I told him I have an appointment and he said I didn't. He was shirtless, shoeless, unshaven and looked like he just woke up from a rough night! I told him I'd scheduled the appointment with Emily a few months earlier and he argued saying they don't schedule appointments in advance. He stated Emily was no longer with him and he didn't know anything about this. I asked if he had appointment book or online that he could check and he said no. He said I had to call 24 hours in advance to book appointment and leave credit card. I told him I already paid for the vouchers and he said I still had to give him a credit card to hold my spot. I said if I can only book 24 hours in advance, what if he's already booked and he said oh well, first come first served. I again explained this is why I booked so far out in advance and he just said that's the way it is. His demeanor, appearance and attitude was very poor! Not once did he apologize for this or try to be nice about getting us another appointment. Especially when he found out I had purchased a voucher online, he acted like that was not worth anything and didn't even care whether I came back or not! Didn't care that we had planned this trip, drove out of our way just to be told we had no appointment and be treated like crap. This is NO WAY to run a business and he is extremely UNPROFESSIONAL! I went into this knowing I may have a problem, but tried to think positive and give him and his company the benefit of a doubt. I am requesting full refund for the money I spent on these two vouchers. Obviously, trying to use these vouchers will be next to impossible. In addition, I was a bit fearful for my daughter and I after reading his horses were trying to buck people off and running out of control wherever they wanted to go. I would not recommend anyone doing business with this guy. With all negitive reviews and one or two positive, makes me wonder if he wrote the positive ones! I'm sure I'm not the first person to request a refund for this company voucher. I also plan on posting my comments online anywhere I can to warn future unsuspecting clients of his business practices. I may also file a complaint with BBB if possible, although he surely isn't a member. This guy doesn't need to be in business at all from what I have read and seen myself! We bought a deal on Facebook, and after scheduling online and confirming on the phone with Ryan, we drive all the way to Acworth only to be told he was booked for the day and couldn't take us. We had our printed receipt and appointment confirmation as well. He also complained Facebook hadn't paid him, which has nothing to do with the customer. The same complaints are online from other...you purchase, schedule, and then things aren't honored when you arrive. This place is extremely hard to find, and small. Also, we only saw one old looking horse for the riding lessons. As other have done, we disputed with our credit card company for our money back. We will NEVER go back! read more

I have learned my lesson - I will NEVER purchase a voucher from one of those deals sites without first reading the reviews. The same thing happened to me that happened to everyone else...but at least I didn't have to waste the time driving out to Adairsville from Atlanta..... I bought the voucher online last winter, thinking I would call and book when it got a little warmer. I tried calling several times to no avail, then finally reached a woman who helped me book the ride for a friend and myself. At the time, she said that all the rides were booked until August. I wasn't in a particular hurry, so I made my reservation for 3 months in advance and went with it. After reading all the horrendous reviews online, I spoke with my friend and we decided that we wouldn't make the trip out there through rush-hour traffic if we couldn't get a hold of them by phone and confirm our reservation for August 3rd. As has happened in so many other cases, my friend was told that the reservation was not on the books and that they don't take reservations more than 24 hours in advance. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE IF YOU WERE BOOKED FOR 3 MONTHS SOLID WHEN I FIRST CALLED?? RIDDLE ME THAT?!?! Anyways, they were fully booked and unable to accommodate us for the ride, or even offer any alternatives. I am like everyone else. I bought this off Facebook Deals back in July for a birthday present for my granddaughter. After 3 or 4 cancellations I finally got an e-mail confirmation for Oct. 28 at 4pm. I left a message that morning advising we would be there even though it didn't say to confirm on the e-mail confirmation. We show up at 4pm and no one is there. My granddaughter was so disappointed. After returning home I got a voicemail from him at 12:46 that morning saying since we hadn't confirmed the appointment (even though I wasn't told I had to) until today there was no way he could have the horses ready and I would have to reschedule. I really, really wish that I could say something nice about this but there is nothing redeeming at all. Upon arriving there was no one to be found. Seriously, no one. Anywhere. We just stood around and watched as more and more people showed up. When someone finally arrived it was explained that not all of us could ride. He was the owner, Ryan, and had some sort of scheduling issue. Upon people being selected to ride, we were all informed about a mandatory gratuity of 18%, $40. Important note, 18% of the original $200 value is not $40. But frankly, after having heard him screaming at the other people who weren't selected to ride that day, we paid it. The ride is beyond short. Advertised was an hour lesson and one hour trail ride. The trail ride was 20 minutes. From exiting the gate to entering - 20 minutes. So even using a Groupon deal and paying $35 for the two of us, plus the $40 mandatory gratuity, it was $75 for a 20 minute ride. Pretty crappy deal. Though Ryan, the owner, is likely a great horseman, he is a horrible businessman and really should consider utilizing some form of customer service and delivering what he is promising. I would strongly caution anyone who is considering going here to look elsewhere. The ride was definitely not a $199 value by any stretch of the imagination and not even worth the $75 we spent. Reservations are difficult and overbooked. He has no sense of accommodation and as he will offer no refunds it's pretty much a losing situation. Don't do it. Please. Just look elsewhere for a great riding experience, this isn't it. Everyone has reviewed this as being horrible. I wish I'd read this first. read more

Prepaid for 4 rides, then they reschedule and on the day of the reschedule I call to confirm due to weather conditions only to find out that they don't even have me scheduled because the person making appointments no longer works there! Oh, and also they are no longer at the address either! The owner was RUDE, disrespectful and a poor business owner! He actually asked me for my credit card number even though we have paid vouchers to say that with my credit card number I could call 24 hours in advance to SEE if they can fit me in! I purchased the Travelzoo coupon for $29 for a "1 hour trail ride." First of all, I would never get back on any of those horses ever again. When one guy tried to get on a horse, it freaked out and just about trampled the owner. That same guy got knocked off the horse on the trail ride, the horse went nuts and started running, all of the other horses got spooked and the horse my girlfriend was on took off running back to the barn with her still on it. Luckily she was able to get off eventually before it knocked her off. The owner told everyone to get down off their horses and we started walking them back to the barn. He didn't seem too concerned that we were still missing one person (my girlfriend). A few minutes later she comes walking through the woods and the owner yells, "Where is my horse?" Shows you how concerned he is with the safety of his customers. We get back to the barn and he is slamming gates and is very upset with all of us for getting his horses worked up. He even complained that now he has to work with them for 20 minutes to cool them down before his next group of unsuspecting victims shows up. I thought it was strange that he kept saying before we began riding that some people say that his horses get spooked easily but "obviously they don't know my horses." Now I know why some people say that. I end up asking him for a partial refund because we were promised a 1 hour trail ride but all we got was a 5 minute ride through the woods, a few minutes of terror, and a ten minute walk back to the barn. He said that he does not give refunds and it is not his responsibility if someone loses their balance and falls off the horse. I told him that maybe he should warn people ahead of time that these horses are not for beginner riders. He then starts getting very defensive and yelling at and threatening me and my girlfriend to get off his property. Terrible experience. I wouldn't recommend Harmony Natural Horsemanship or Ryan Garner to anyone. read more

i have the same story as everyone else except mine experience was for valentines day. i bought the ride at a 3rd party discount rate only to find that he was charging 50-100 more dollars to ride vday weekend. i had verbal confirmation the day of in th a.m. of my ride and when we showed up on time there was not a single sign that anyone has been to the barn in days. there is a private residence on the same property and even they said that ryan is notorious for ditching people and not showing up. they even said he denied 2 woman and their children who drove from stone mountain one day. kids crying and all turned them away. after we left and tried calling him several times from the same number ive been calling him on all morning he wasnt answering. we decided to call from a blocked number and he picked up right away. once he knew it was me he hung up and straight to voicemail there after. we decided to file a formal complaint with the county sheriffs office. im hoping that he doesnt have a business much longer. if you are reading this before your "would be" terrible experience you are ahead of the game. such a joke and a huge disappointment. valentines day surprise completely ruined read more
