Herbivore sandwich with other goodies.. mmm
Gloria L.

The Harmony Ridge Market is a great little market situated in an excellent spot for all of those who are traveling down Highway 20. I've gone there after hiking in Emigrant Gap and paddle boarding at Scotts Flat. I finally tried a sandwich and got the herbivore, which is on sourdough. Along with the dill pickle Kettle Chips abs root beer, it was a delicious meal! They also have ice cream/popsicles to crave my sweet tooth.

I have gotten the best sandwich in the county. A silician hero. Was a little pricey but I think well worth it. It was a huge sandwich, I could only eat half.

This is a damn good deli sandwich, didn't really interact with the deli engineers, not really good vibes and not bad vibes, just a good place to go get a really good tasting sandwich

Their broccoli salad is SO good!

Still one of my favorite places to stop by when in the area. You can't go wrong with the service and killer sandwiches! Love supporting local, family owned businesses!

Awesome beer selection!

Stumbled across this awesome little market. It is a great place to stock up before or after hitting the trail. They have a large selection of great craft beers and a fantastic deli. I had the breakfast burrito and a mocha, and both were soooo good. Their burritos were huge and they use high quality ghirardelli chocolate in the mocha which was delicious. Their sandwiches looked great also, and we will definitely be coming back for lunch sometime soon.

FRESH FOOD!!! Non-GMO/Organic options that make me wish this place was on every corner instead of 711! Made to order sandwiches, healthy options on the road and unique gifts and foods to buy! Alicia is kind, helpful and made yummy food! We definitely will remember this place after a cross country journey

Yeessss! One stop shop! Clothes, locally roasted ground coffee to go and fresh brewed, torta, snacks, soap AND dessert (^_^)

There's nothing wrong with his opinion, I don't eat that garbage, but if you can't tell or don't care about quality (yes, I'm being snarky, but seriously, if you're going to complain you have options...) Anyhow, this is where I come to eat, I always pay, and he complains about the price of the sandwich (I paid for) while he eats all of his sandwich and then finishes mine- it is also a lot of food, usually two meals for me, but I'm not a voracious eater. If you're still here after my rant, the food here is quality, you're going to pay more, you're going to wait for it to be prepared, because its not some cafeteria conveyer belt sandwich- it's crafted. The shop is very small, ambiance is- small meat counter, the soda machine has been broken as long as I've been coming, there's no indoor dining. I know, I'm not selling it. BUT Outside you have outdoor tables under the trees, there are birds singing, it feels completely Nevada City, much preferred to eating inside. Typically I order the Reuben and I think that's their best sandwich, but I've also tried the Roast Beef, Italian Ham, and Turkey. I know I mentioned their soda machine is broken, but they have plenty of sodas in a cooler as well as a few very good sides- I'm partial to the Dijon potato salad. So final thoughts- cheapskates with broken tastebuds stay home, let the real ones eat.

Got a Reuben. 21 bucks after tax. I have no issue paying high prices if the qualities is on point…read more But it wasn't quite there. The pastrami was just a super lean flat instead of a whole brisket, so it was dry and pretty puny. Quality of the bread was really high, but overall it just didn't come together. For the price tag associated with it I would definitely not recommend.

I'll be in the middle of placing a simple order, and the clerks will get distracted talking to someone else, interrupting each other, or changing tasks. The day old bagels are not labeled and many of them look almost identical. The clerks don't help, I have to go back and forth across the store bringing over bags of unlabeled bagels and asking questions to see if there are any I want to buy. Why not label the bagels or have clerks walk over to help pick them out? Instead they will stand there and watch me go back and forth while a line of people are also waiting on me. The store is uncomfortably loud both on in normal acoustics and music level, and smells strong of cleaning chemicals. The food is ok, so I return sometimes. But visiting is never an enjoyable experience.

Today I ordered online and when my husband got home we realized we got the wrong sandwich. I called right away and the gentleman was so apologetic and offered to make it right. He recognized my order and my name and remembered we had been in recently (we love port of subs we go often). As someone who grew up next to the OG port of subs I can say that without a doubt they are true to the original. The staff is always wonderful, and their willingness to make it right is so appreciated. We are forever customers and recommend this location specifically to everyone who asks for a good sub spot. Even when mistakes are made they are a 10/10!
