I was so confused by this store's low Yelp rating that I had to go and read all the one star reviews, and I have to say, they're honestly all petty. One of them actually shows a picture of a perfectly okay apple with the caption "rotten apple." While it is a bit on the small side for a "supermarket," they seem to have all the normal staple items. Since my last review, they've started carrying kaffir lime leaves, and have added pre-packaged meals to their hot dim sum line. As of my last visit (April 2026), it was $14.99 for a self serve 2 item lunch combo with rice and/or chow mein.

I did get some roast duck since I was there. I had them cut it up and put it in two boxes. Over at the bakery, I did see these Portuguese Egg Tarts, they looked similar to the Chinese egg tarts, but more browned on top. They came in a box and I was told they just baked them today. I got one box. I'll say, this 99 Ranch location is much smaller than most of the other locations and the selection at the deli is smaller too, I guess they just don't get the foot traffic like the Bay Area or Sacramento proper. Things that caught my eye was the extensive selection of Middle Eastern spices, Asian snacks and drinks, and liquor. I didn't walk down the liquor aisle so I have no idea if it was Asian liquor.
