It is a home atmosphere. When I realized that I could no longer take of husband at home I had to make the difficult decision of finding a place. I visited several facilities and none compare to Arden Courts. My husband is receiving outstanding care. He has many health issues besides dementia and all of his needs are being met. When I take my husband home for a few hours, he tells me he wants to go "home". That says a lot about his care and I know he is happy and healthy. It's a hard decision to have to place love one somewhere but I have complete trust in them Rikka is the administrator who does an amazing job and they head of nursing is Miralise both are knowledgeable in their positions and willing to talk to family members at any time day or night which is what I have had to go through during my brother's recovery Not only is it a facility temporary but also permanent if need be my brother happens to be younger and there are younger people there which is good to know they have mini activities which are all supervised and most important the food is very good for a nursing home facility!! he has been in almost every other facility in New Jersey and this facility ranks the highest in my opinion!

Today we had her welcome meal coming into the AL side and let me tell you I felt like we were on an episode of Below Deck East Hanover addition. The chef brought one dish at a time and presented it to us with what he was serving and the food was amazing. The food always is absolutely amazing. Mom says she is eating so well that she has no room For food in between each meal. The whole building is so clean. Very happy with Livia.

He developed sores from sitting in wet diapers, had a changing schedule added to his medical chart and still wasn't change during the day. When my dad buzzed and aid to be changed they told him they were busy with something else and could not change him. I complained multiple times and nothing changed. Additionally my dad was left in bed until 9:30-10am most days...with his breakfast sitting and getting cold when they finally came in to get him up. How they can justify leaving a 90 year old that was there for a UTI in wet diapers all day is just insane.

She was apparently a CNA, I am not sure in which country. I told her twice that my son has malrotated bowels and not to put pressure on his belly and yet she ended up wrapping a towel around his waist that she held him by to assist in walking. She had a ton of make up and perfume that ended up on my son's clothes. As a person, I have no complaints but in terms of qualifications - zero. This was supposed to be back up care when no one is home but I was using their services while I worked from home. I can't even imagine how she would have handled an emergency situation. They put my child in danger.

The place is quite expensive but it was a nice place and yet we thought it was best for mom. Why the one star. A few times my mom had bronchial infections she contracted at the place on three separate occasions. Each time taken to Morristown Hospital then when infection gone was sent back. Keep in mind she never had that before. Ever. This is not why the low rating But this was the worst. My mom has arthritic knees. They used a hoyer to lift her. Well one day we are to find out she was rushed to the hospital. WHY? They dropped her. Yes dropped her and Fractured her hip. They actually blamed my mother. Really my mother is in charge of seeing up the hoyer? Are you kidding me? She was one again rushed to Morristown hospital and she was lucky enough to get a rod placed in her hip. By way she was 99 yrs old. The entire team never once took any responsibility for the accident. Never received any calls from the directors, quite odd. No remorse. So after that accident she had to do rehab. Yes another stunt by the reckless team. No one deserves this nonsense especially a 99 year old woman. During rehab with the exorbitant prices at Sunrise & the constant mishandling by this group. My mom was frightened to go back. See spent her remaining time at a rehab place. My mother was never the same after the bungling of this staff. Sadly she had passed. No response from this group. No flowers nothing. No I would not recommend this place. The lack of responsibility and show no remorse, was what it took.
