I love supporting locally owned/family owned businesses and it just so happens Harney sushi is by far the best I've ever been to. The Culichi-Wa, mellow yellow, orange crush, and Maui Wowie are all must try's as far as rolls are concerned! All the specialty nigiris are amazing and will blow you completely out of the water. The spicy orange chicken entree, if you enjoy spicy orange chicken, is the best I've ever eaten. COVID regulations are also followed to a tee by the staff members. I have felt extremely safe eating here during the pandemic and everything has seemingly been impeccably clean and sanitized whenever I picked up food/dined in, and I frequent here very often. I've been to this place a few times now since it's a walk away from the beach. After walking down the beach, you'll start craving sushi rather quickly. This place is in the same plaza as the movie theatre and not hard to spot and there were a few times when I've been here after watching a movie, just because it's right there and it's tempting you. I'm a fan of the flaming lip roll, it has a nice touch of spice that kicks things up a notch, just how I like it. The eel roll ( I forgot the name) with ponzu sauce is to die for and of course, I need to have my spicy tuna roll and some sides of my sashimi to satisfy my appetite for sushi. Great decor, great location, and easy parking lot/ train station area. Always such a hit when I visit here, whether with friends for lunch or a later night snack after the day at the races. My favorites include a habanero sauced roll, and it's amazing!!! Perfect kick of heat. Recently shared photos of the Hope Roll and Lightning Roll, where their lunch special for $14/15 include miso and salad w/any roll *these rolls alone are about $16/17. Tried their shrimp tempura (batter isn't as flaky, more cakey/dough batter) but it's ok. My lobster fried rice (small miso-sized bowl) was yummy. I enjoyed their salad, and dressing, even, with those tiny rice krispy bits I'm sure added for texture. My son enjoys their rice/teriyaki sauce usually, but I've added in the yakisoba for the noodle fun, too. After lunch, we hop over to Red Cup for a frozen yogurt and fun toppings. (Mango smoothie is my fave there!) ******* On a side note, just visited Harney's a few days ago, and my friend had ordered her octopus salad... we had to return it due to a very fishy smell and not what she was accostomed to, unfortunately. If it had been just a few bucks, I wouldnd't have cared to remoe it from the bill, but I'venever ordered anything this exotic and when I saw it was $14 for a salad and a few slices of octopus, I was a bit sushi-shocked, especially for just a bowl that fits in my hands... anyhow, Harney's was very pleasant about it and removed it from the bill immediately. WORST experience. My recent visit was an absolute nightmare, leaving me with no choice but to warn others to stay away. My mom and i were hoping to have a pleasant Saturday evening dinner together--Despite being promised a mere 20-30 minute wait, we were subjected to an hour wait for a table. Upon being seated, we were sat next to a family whose children were uncontrollable (crying, screaming, throwing food, and jumping everywhere) creating absolute DISRUPTION AND HAVOC! After asking the the host and waitress several times to please be seated elsewhere, they callously informed use that there was "nowhere else" to accomodate us. As if the relentless noise and chaos and food throwing wasn't enough, the mother of the family sitting next to us took it upon herself to TAUNT and PROVOKE our table, fully aware of the misery she was causing. We lodged a complaint with the manager, only to be met with APATHY. He did not show any form of sympathy towards the situation-- it was abundantly clear that CUSTOMER SATISFACTION AND HOSPITALITY WAS OF NO IMPORTANCE TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT! The final blow came when it was time to settle the bill. The manager did not show an ounce of remorse and offered NO form of compensation for the disastrous experience. To top it all off!!!! Imagine my DISGUST when i discovered a small bug in my food!!!! It solidified my resolve to never ever step foot in this establishment again. read more

Harney Sushi was recommended from a fellow Co worker in Florida. His recommendation was spot on. Harney sushi was awesome. Had the 'Ana Roll' and 'Sea Bass Truffle' and highly recommend them both. They had so much flavor and tasted fresh. The menu is quite robust with options that all sound amazing. I plan to go back and try as much of the menu as I can. Let me start off my saying that my group was super excited to try this place. The food was ok. Nothing special. It's unfortunate that I had to rate this place a two star because of the service. They were extremely unorganized. We did not have a reservation, but knowing that, we were willing to wait. They told us 45 minutes and we ended up waiting one hour and fifteen minutes. The entire time, while we watched empty tables that could have been pushed together to accommodate our group of 6. We watched several other groups, smaller groups and a group with one less person, go before us. The young girls up front seemed overwhelmed and disoriented. Finally; someone was genius enough to put two tables together to accommodate our small group and boom! We got seated. One hour and fifteen minutes later. We understand times are tough with Covid, but this establishment needs to train their staff on how to handle a busy rush of people. read more

Always had a great experience here but this time we sat at the sushi bar and boy those guys really don't like their jobs. Didn't get asked what we wanted to order, had to catch their attention. Our waitress for drinks was great we just had to order our rolls from the sushi bar since we were sitting there. I hate writing bad reviews but I couldn't get anyone to answer the phone and I have a huge problem with restaurants that are lazy regarding food allergies. We have dined here before and had a wonderful server that went to great lengths to make sure everything came out gluten free. This time was the complete opposite. After waiting over 2 hours for hot food items, the manager offered to have the order prepped to-go. It came out on a regular plate and had teriyaki sauce on my daughter's food- we reminded them it was now supposed to be to go and that she couldn't have teriyaki. When the to-go food finally came, we asked the manager one last time if he was sure both entrees were gluten free (with delays like this I always get worried that the allergies will be missed). Sure enough, we got home and once again the kids bento box that is supposed to be gluten free, is covered in teriyaki sauce and has California rolls with imitation crab (also not gf). The other entree I ordered was a gf chicken fried rice... they give me beef (which I don't eat), leaving me highly doubtful that it was made GF. Obviously this was more than just a backed up kitchen situation like they claimed, and instead of coming back to us to ask what the order was or checking the bartenders open ticket, they just guessed? And then proceeded to tell us it was gluten free. Not cool- I know it's a fad diet for some, but for others, we become violently ill. I just cannot understand how 3 different people, two of which were managers, asked why we were still waiting and were told everything needed to be gluten free...and still my daughter and I are going to bed hungry. The manager did comp these two items because of the long wait, but it's really not about the money... especially since we still were not able to eat what we ordered... just if you have food allergies or dietary restrictions do yourself a favor by going somewhere more consistently reliable. read more

We had a delightful visit with him and he made our experience a great one. The rolls and sake were delicious. Prices were very fair. The vibe was classy and decor cool. Great background music too. Very good sushi. We ordered to go. I was really surprised at how huge their sushi rolls are. You cannot eat a piece in one bite! Actually that's my only complaint. They were just too big for me to eat and so trying to take a bite out of them, they just fell apart. Otherwise great food. They gave us plenty of ginger and wasabi. read more

This was my first time at Harney Sushi and it was fantastic! Our family came in to celebrate our daughters birthday and it was well worth it. Our waitress Katie was the best. She was very attentive and patient with us when it came to ordering. She has wonderful suggestions with food and drinks which we were not disappointed . She over hear us talking about our daughters birthday and came out with a surprise plate of ice cream for out daughter. This is obviously a hot spot and it was very lively on a Saturday night. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table, but it was worth the wait. I absolutely loved the unique flavors and freshness of the sushi. We started with the edamame sampler which was both unique and delicious. The sampler included sea salt, soy truffle, manchego cheese, and bacon. The bacon was my favorite. The Orange Crush was my main entree and I loved it. This roll included shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, cream cheese, lemon, and ponzu. I was worried that lemon would be an odd combination with the other flavors, but it actually made the roll. The flavors were delicious. I also ordered the Avocado Nigiri which was avocado, tomato, cilantro, and onion. It sounds boring, but everything was very fresh and the flavors really popped. I was also able to sample other items at the table and every item had amazing flavor. The Candied Albacore was out of this world, the flavor just kept coming with each bite. The Hippie Roll ( all veggies) was not a traditional roll, but still very good. This roll would be good for people that aren't interested in raw fish or for preggos. We celebrated my daughter's birthday at Harney's last night. We had such an amazing experience from the service to the food! The atmosphere was classy and had such an uplifting, inviting presence. I had the Orange chicken and it was the BEST I've had! Not too overly battered, flavor popped and the veggies were cooked perfectly! I also had the albacore sushi , that was so fresh and delicious! Everyone at my table was so extremely happy with everything they ordered and we left there with just such an amazing experience.
