We stopped here for early lunch. Ordered 2-7 pc chicken wing dinners with mild sauce. Food was up in a matter of about 20-25 minutes. Presentation was totally inviting. Yummy hot golden wings / fries with just the right amount of sauce. (drenched) Wings were crunchy and juicy. The fries were perfect. Oh let's not leave out that hidden slice of bread that was at the bottom covered in that special Harold's secret sauce. Entire meal was chef's kiss of carry out. Simply delicious. This is not a dine-in fancy restaurant. What this is folks is REALLY GOOD fried chicken! The service is dependent upon how busy they are, but is generally acceptable unless they get overwhelmed. I don't eat fast junk food often, but Harold's is a must have every now and then. read more

Chicken wings were ok, was bit over fried, the 2 pcs dinner was good and I liked the thigh better than the drums as it was better seasoned and more juicer then the drum. The interior was nothing special, walk in, order and wait for your order. This tastes like standard Harold's, but the service could be better. I ordered online for pickup in 15 minutes, and when I went to the counter for pickup, the cashier noted my name and told me to wait for my order. It passed the 25 minute mark before I went back and asked how my order was doing, only to learn it had been ready ten minutes prior. This was my first time coming to this location and having Harold's for over 10 years. The taste of the chicken was amazing. It brought back so many memories. I looked @ the reviews of all the Harolds & decided on this 1 that was 1hr away with traffic because of the great reviews. This Harold's is one of the only one I will patronize. The food is fresh and the service is relatively quick. They are usually busy, so expect to wait. Unlike some restaurants, the wait time is bearable. The one thing that gives me pause is the emergence of the micro breast. Where are they getting these little pieces of meat. Harold's chicken on 87th and State where the gas station is has terrible food. They get a zero because the chicken is old and hard to chew. I don't think they ever changed the grease and the fries taste horrible it has to be some type of low-grade potato it's horrendous. I love me some Harold's Chicken. This is my go-to place for some fresh hot crispy chicken and fries. This location failed in that area and service. Horrible service I feel sorry for whoever comes across this place since whoever runs it seems pretty terrible at their job. My fries were hard as a doorknob and my chicken wasn't fried crispy. My chicken tasted like it was just reheated in the deep fryer. Lack of flavor and stale taste. I was so disappointed even to write this review. I called to inform them about my order and the woman that answered the phone was so rude, she said: "We are not taking any orders over the phone you need to come in".
