Dr. Choi has been instrumental in many aspects of my life - from making sure surgeries go well, to checking on me when I've ended up in the hospital or ICU, and he makes sure that you're well taken care of in all aspects of your wellness journey. He's by far the most understanding physician I've ever seen. Dr Choi is also compassionate, responsive, caring, and very understanding. I can tell Dr Choi any and all issues I may be having and he either finds the right treatment (while taking my opinions and concerns into consideration as well) or he knows another physician that can assist if it's not something he can immediately help with. The office staff - Laura, Natalie, Daisy, Ashely, and anyone I may have missed has also been astounding: a big shout out to Laura for being the world's best phlebotomist! I can't say enough positive things about the entire staff. They've been with me through so much, I feel like it's one big family that I'm part of. Everyone knows you there as a person rather than just a patient singing in for an appointment. Thanks to all the wonderful staff and D. Choi for the years of amazing treatment I've received. Dr. Choi will remain one of the most competent physicians in Las Vegas that I've had! Thanks so much everyone!

Until we found Dr. Harouni, medical procedures and medical concerns meant a trip back to California. I can't stress enough how pleased we are with Dr. Harouni's medical expertise,level-headed decision-making and genuine concern for our well being. During a scheduled visit I mentioned to Dr, Harouni that I'd noticed one arm was bigger than the other. She told me to make an appointment for a scan. I called Steinberg Diagnostics and got their soonest appointment, a week away.. I'm still incredulous that Dr. Harouni called me (not her staff) the day after my consult to make sure I had scheduled the scan. When she found out it was a week away, she made sure I was seen that very day. Her medical expertise and gut instinct probably saved my life. I had blood clots in both arms and neck. If that extra follow-up did not wow you sufficiently, here is another example. I am diabetic and significantly overweight. Ozempic and Mounjaro are both drugs used to manage diabetes. The added bonus is that they control appetite. Non diabetics are now using those meds to lose weight and consequently, demand exceeds supply. When I emailed Dr. Harouni and shared my plight, she immediately tasked her staff to call drugstores and drug reps to help me find my medication. In less than an hour I had a filled prescription waiting to be picked up. Her dedication and determination to take care of her patients is extraordinary. I've shared these personal examples because there is no way to have a reader, grasp her dedication. I had been with another concierge practice for the past 4 years. That practice, ran like clockwork and the doctor was competent but inaccessible. A friend, who is a retired physician suggested I meet his internist, Dr. Harouni. If you are looking for a doctor who is accessible (send her an email or call her directly), smart, approachable, caring and extraordinarily competent, than, your search is over. Set up a free meet and greet and decide for yourself.

In addition she gives you her cell phone and answers after hours herself (or even sometimes during office hours) w/o you having to go thru an answering service. She is also very well connected in the medical community and gets you urgently needed appointments with a top specialist on an expedited basis. She spreads out patient appointments very generously so that there is plenty of time when you go in to see her to get all your concerns and questions answered.

When I called, I was met with an automated message, standard these days, but there were no options for new patients or to reach medical staff. I stayed on the line without pressing any keys, and a human did eventually answer. They were polite, soft-spoken, and informed me that the clinic operates on a membership model. Digging into the site later, I found that membership runs around $3,200 per year. What's not clearly explained is how this integrates with existing insurance. There's no detail on whether labs, prescriptions, or procedures are billed separately or offset at all. Nothing against the clinic itself, but after watching another practice in town fall apart post-buyout, I'm not eager to throw more money into the healthcare black hole, especially on top of already sky-high insurance premiums. Las Vegas isn't exactly budget-friendly, and this setup seems designed more for the west side crowd with disposable income than for the average patient just trying to get solid care without financial acrobatics.

I would follow him anywhere in the valley if he ever moved as long as our insurance still covered visits. I'm sure my wife has her own great things to say, but as for me, I can't say enough. He treats me like a human, and responds the way I wished my primary did my whole life. I'll start by saying that for the better part of ten years, I've had a really rare, un-curable illness. I've been through 3 primary doctor changes in that time due to moves throughout the country. Nahin is the first doctor to ever suggest both, natural and over the counter medicines to treat not just the symptoms, but the actual illness. I had done my own research over the years because there isn't much known about my illness. I had heard of a couple things, but not all. I later back-researched the names he told me and found plenty to back up his suggestions. I kept up with regular visits over the years and he took a personal interest in my progress. There are two non-narcotic, meds to treat the symptoms that I had to constantly ask for from previous docs, he gave me enough to last me through several bad episodes and refills to back it up. He was also the first to recognize that I needed a little higher dosage because I had gained some weight. I haven't felt the strain of running out at a bad time like I had in the past. Recently, which compelled me to write this, he responded above and beyond my expectations. I had an emergency with another medication and needed a quick response. I thought during covid times, getting in touch would be tough (based on my previous and current other docs)...But Nahin, responded to a message I sent through the patient portal within minutes, saying that it he handled it personally. I once again was impressed.

Himself and his staff, need to take a refresher course on medical coding, because they incorrectly coded what should have been a simple annual routine physical. Which is typically covered by health insurance as a preventative routine check up. So they refused to change the coding after the fact and after more than a week speaking to multiple staff members who do not keep accurate notes I'm done. I;m stuck paying for their mistakes.

I thought I had, but when I checked, I had not. I immediately told her I could fill it out fast, pointing out that there were patients ahead of me in line who still needed to be processed before my appointment time. She told me I would not finish in time and that I needed to reschedule. I pushed back and said I could complete it quickly. She refused again, with no exceptions and no attempt to work with me. She said there was no way they could see me and that I would need to come back in a few weeks when an opening was available. I drove all the way across town for this appointment. A 10-minute buffer before my slot, with other patients still ahead of me, was more than enough time to complete a standard intake form. Instead of offering any solution, the front desk shut it down immediately. This is not a one time thing. If you read through the reviews for this place, you will see multiple people describing the exact same experience with the front desk staff. The pattern is clear. The issue is not the care you receive once you get in it is getting past the front desk to begin with.

Me and Josh, for a long time, understood that I didn't fit within the majority of all patients he…read moresees. A true outlier and an anomaly. Probably his most challenging case. Josh is great for "cookie cutter" patients, which means the majority. This is what Focus MH is set-up for. Limited time slots. He is such a perfectionist, that he tries to be on time, every time. It is unrealistic. This is MENTAL HEALTH/ILLNESS. There is a, per patient, time limit. I have always wondered about Josh's "patient load". Like any relationship, our journey together, had run its course. It was a "good run" of many years. I had to roll through the changes Josh kept making to force me out. He felt like he failed me. He did and did not. To be fair, Josh tried everything he could to help me and he did in different ways. My situation changed, that placed Josh in a compromising position. I had to move on (no other choice). Josh got very nasty towards me at the end. Scoffing and mocking my situation. Labeling. His own private life challenges, were applied to me and my situation. I was ALWAYS completely open and honest. The "little goody to-shoes", ran to his supervising MD's (NP's and PA-C's are NOT Doctors). You have to keep this in mind. Not even a goodbye after all the years on our journey. I have NEVER lied to you, like you did me. Even making stuff up, along with his staff, that never happened. Just bizarre. All that happens, is that, we as patients, are forced out to find another provider. One doesn't grow, if it is all mundane, clinical visits. Josh tried very hard for me and I thank him for it, but "went dirty on me" at the end. It was a complex situation. Josh was frustrated that I wasn't ready to taper on 2 separate appointments (around March or April 2025). There was NO rush. Why? He didn't even consider (nor put together), that my mom passed away in late January of 2025. Just 4 months after my dad passed away. I was extremely close to my parents and their major battles. You knew the tremendous sacrifices I made for them. An honor. Shame on you. You lacked INTEGRITY with ME Josh and you know it (at the end). You slowly boxed me out from Focus MH. The passive-aggressive moves. The lying. I caught you in one lie. I asked if Danica still worked for you (around March, as I didn't hear from her anymore) and you said yes. Then I asked a few times more and he said she isn't. She is living in another state. I know this. She does her work remotely. Josh KNEW I wouldn't agree to individual therapy, in order to stay with him as my provider. Danica was with me a year and a half or so prior to Josh coming on board. He didn't respect that connection we had. She was ALWAYS a source of light. Josh IS a great, holistic provider for ALMOST all cases. He is tremendous, but not for me. He only lied to me (at the end). He QUIT on me, but it was time. It's about fit. We no longer "fit" anymore. I had to "air this out" because of the way everything went down. Much love, light and positive vibrations to Josh and Danica. It was a pleasure to work with you both.
