Let me start off by saying the food was absolutely delicious! We got the chips to start, the Shepard's pie, and the bangers and mash. The entrees were authentically Irish and didn't disappoint in the slightest. The low rating is solely because of the service. My friend and I were sat outside and seemed to have two waitresses, which was confusing as is. They were nice, but our table was obviously not a priority to them. Both of them asked multiple times if we needed anything, but forgot to give us what we asked for, twice. On top of that, one of our waitresses switched our checks and apologized saying "I dropped the cards and didn't want to walk back and ask." Again, the waitresses were very sweet, just prioritized the locals/elders over two young adults just passing through. I would go back because the food was that good, I just hope the service experience is better next time :) read more

So I've been seeing this place on FB for at least a year and everything looked just amazing . My daughter took me to lunch for an early bday treat yesterday and WOW!! Everything we ordered was just as good as I thought it would be we ordered a lot! Lol we just wanted to try everything! We ordered the burger with bacon jam and the potato salad .. The burger was delicious but the potato salad omg !! So good . The shepherds pie with the super thin crispy fried onions on top .. amazing and the steak frites was perfect!! We also ordered the Baileys Irish cream cheesecake and the key lime pie .. oh yea and the crispy chips for an app lol!! I know a ton of food but every single bite of each item was phenomenal!! We were visiting family who love this place. The service was amazing! Quick and a lot of staff on hand (a rarity nowadays). Food was fast & hot. We started with Crispy Brussels - Delicious. I had Holly's Pesto Cordon Bleu bunless on a side salad. Hubs had the Reu-Burger & liked it. It would have been even better served on traditional Rye bread instead of the burger bun. I've had some pretty good meals this month,but this is the best so far.my steak was perfectly medium and juicy.the potatoes were delicious but the brussel sprouts were the highlight for me.i will definitely be dining here again before I leave Gadsden.I must also mention that customer service was top notch my server Madison was the best very nice and attentive.she suggested the loopy margarita for a cocktail and it didn't disappoint this drink was fun and fruity and it definitely packed a punch. read more

Great find! My son & I drove up from Birmingham to spend the afternoon at Noccalula Falls, which is just about 7 minutes from the restaurant. It was a beautiful day, so we ate outside, which was a really nice, little area. I ordered The Dublinder burger with a side of potato salad, which was sour cream based instead of mayo. Both very tasty! The burger was juicy & the bun was great too. My son ordered grill cheese & fries off the children's menu. He said they were some of the best fries he's ever had. He wanted to try a dessert, so he got the Oreo Bread Pudding. I tried it as well. I was too full to enjoy the bite I had, but my son really liked it. My only complaint is that the music was SO loud. Would have been nice to just hear the outside noises. Great place though & will be back when in the area again. read more

First time but it will not be the last. We went for Fathers Day. I was not aware we needed a reservation but we were seated at the bar. Amy was tending and she made the experience even better. We tried several items from the menu and the bar. Husband ordered sweet potato fries but was given regular so he was treated to both. I did forget to get a picture of them, but my husband LOVED them. What a great spot to have dinner! The service was fantastic and the food was packed with flavor. My wife and I enjoyed the fruity pebbles margarita and the mango lemon drop martini, two incredibly unique and tasty cocktails. I am extremely disappointed to say the least. I came here on mother's day with my family and some family friends to enjoy a nice Sunday brunch, to find hair in my food. I came again to give them the benefit of the doubt, assuming it was a one time deal, to find yet another hair in my food. The service was amazing, hence the 2 stars not one. So, an old acquaintance from my high school days bought this place with his wife. He was way cooler than me - so opening a restaurant is really perfect for him. He's gregarious, and happy to meet his clients. And - on top of all this - the food is delicious. We've been for dinner as well as Sunday brunch, and I have to say that this little pub in Gadsden has the best crab cakes I've ever had. Ever. In my life. And I've traveled far and wide. The food is exceptional no matter when you go - and everything we've ordered has been cooked to perfection. Back in town visiting friends and family, and someone mentioned the new Irish Pub. Of course I had to try it, and I was NOT disappointed! Decor was simple and not over the top with Irish antics. A harp handing above the bar, a giant lit-up clover on another wall. Just a nice, comfy little place. I was expecting it to be primarily a bar that sold some food. Instead it's primarily a restaurant with a bar. Not much on tap, just some of the local Back 40 stuff, and a few other beers in bottles and cans. They said they have a nice selection of wine, but I didn't check those out and opted to stick with the brews instead. The menu was small, but good variety. They have breakfast options and a coffee bar for the early birds, and lots of normal lunch/dinner selections for the night owls. I was STARVING so everything sounded good and I was having a hard time deciding, so I started with a cup of Irish stew to appease my rumbling stomach while I continued to stare at the menu. Lamb, beef, carrots, potatoes. Mmmm! Still had issues deciding what sounded best (Shepherd's Pie, Banger's and Mash, Salads, Sandwiches, Burgers) because it all sounded delish.. but finally decided to keep it simple and went with a burger. Don't remember the name, but it was topped with goat cheese and pepper jelly. .. and it was Ahhmazing! Mum had one topped with bacon jam and whiskey infused cheddar cheese. Also delish! Anything with goat cheese and/or bacon is usually right up my alley! Simple side of potato chips on the side. Stew, burger, chips.. Great food, kind people. We ate my birthday dinner here and all four of us ordered different items, all of which were great (and shared). During Covid19, I picked up a lasagna for $30 and we got 9 large servings out of it and it was delicious. Not drowned in sauce with a nice ratio of meat to sauce to pasta. Also got a huge pan of salad with lots of toppings and a pint of caesar dressing. We also got a "grill kit" that came with 4 perfect NY strips, 4 huge baking potatoes, and a bunch of asparagus. I'll be going back for another grill kit this week and maybe a Mexican lasagna. Highly recommended. read more

Run! Go, fast! This is one of the best eateries in downtown Gadsden. The food is top notch and delicious! I had the Ruben which was shaved meat mixed with sauerkraut on delicious rye bread. The sweet potato waffle fries had great seasoning and were crisp. Other diners had the Brussels Sprouts topped with bacon and balsamic vinaigrette. I had a few bites and they were nicely done. The burgers are also a Fam fav at our table. Kids had the "cheesiest" grilled cheese and extra surprise the chef, Brett came by with ice cream for the kids! My boyfriend and I have been meaning to try this place for months, and it did NOT disappoint, to say the least. Our waiter, Winston, proved to be incredibly kind and knowledgeable about the food, which made the experience even better. Then the food. We've eaten at a lot of fantastic restaurants in several states, and I have to say my meal was one of the best I've had. I had a special, which was sea bass with crabmeat hollandaise, asparagus, and black rice. What a seriously amazing meal! Everything was so complementary and full of flavor. I'm absolutely stuffed as I sit here writing this. My boyfriend had the fish and chips, which were also incredible. The fish served at this restaurant is clearly amazingly fresh and high-quality. This is my first time to review, but I've been to Harp and Clover a couple dozen times by now. I highly encourage you to go down to the lovely, cobblestone-paved Court Street and into one of Gadsden's finest restaurants. OK, you might think it's a dive at first glance, but the historic building's exposed brick walls and pub vibe only lend to the charm. And I promise, you cannot go wrong here for brunch or dinner anyday. The dress code is whatever you are wearing, and you will see people in casual fare or all dressed up. But we come here for the food right?, so let me just say that I honestly can't remember ever having anything bad! They always have good burgers (smash burgers, yummy!), the Shepard's pie is legit, the Brussel sprouts app is amazing, just to name a few! I'd say most frequently I get the McCluskey's burger which has goat cheese and pepper jelly. The Field Hand salad is an excellent lighter option. Service is really good too, friendly and prompt, and I can't remember ever being unhappy in that department either. Like, if someone walking by sees an empty plate, they will go ahead and grab it off your table instead of leaving it for your server. 5 stars all around for Harp and Clover! read more

I promise when I say I'm a chicken finger connoisseur and these were the most juicy, flavorful chicken fingers I have ever eaten. I work in town but live in Huntsville, stopped in for lunch on my way out of town on Wednesday and couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. Bangers and mash, the only thing that wasn't traditional or authentic to this meal was the slice of Ciabatta bread on the side... But I wasn't mad at it. Perfect kind of bread to soak up the rest of the gravy and swipe up the rest of the mash to finish the meal. Cool atmosphere and fantastic food.
