I've been wanting to try this place for a while. They are in a great location with a cute atmosphere. The wait was a little long, but you can get a drink and wait on the patio, which is nice. We got the Shepard's pie and bangers and mash to share. They were both GREAT. Out of the two, my preference was the Shepard's pie. The meat was so tender and the gravy was savory and delicious. This is one of our favorite restaurants. We are able to make reservations, the food is always good and the service is wonderful. The only reason I am giving them three stars is because my husband ordered his steak medium rare and got well. He said that if it had not been a very good cut of meat it would have been terrible. I would have preferred to give 3.5 stars. Ate in a Saturday at lunch time with my husband. Seated quickly. Ordered the Banger Bites which were really good. Asked about draft beer selection and were told it was down so we ordered bottled beer. Then decided to order the fish and chips to share. It was good but not amazing. Waited a long time for an extra tartar sauce and another beer and was charged .75 for the extra tartar even though we didn't get it until we were almost finished. Waitress was sweet. I wanted to go to Harp and Clover for my birthday but they are closed on Mondays so we went for Sunday brunch. You have to go! The menu is limited for brunch but everything looks delicious. Hubby had the breakfast burger which is a ground beef/sausage patty, bacon jam on a brioche bun with a sunny side egg. He loved it. I had the sausage gravy biscuit with grits. Another hit. Bloody Mary's and Mimosa are served too. Service was good and you have to try their bread pudding for dessert. Can't wait to come back and visit so I can order off their regular menu and try their beer selection. All in all, great experience with yummy food and good customer service. Don't come here hungry. Portions are dainty and selection is limited. I can get burgers and sandwiches (most of the menu besides salads) anywhere, but I come to an Irish place for Irish food. Nice spot for a restaurant, atmosphere was really laid back and peaceful out on the brick patio. We went on a Friday night as we are just passing thru, we thought it would be busy as they have good reviews and to our surprise it wasn't busy at all, we were seated immediately which was awesome! The hostess said our waitress would be with us in a minute, about 10 minutes later she showed up and asked what we would like to drink, my husband asked if they could make a Black and Tan and I was stunned when the waitress said our LOUD to my husband "EWWW, gross!" I'm not sure if they can but I can ask... she turned left and came back about five minutes later and said "Good news they can make it, even though I don't know why you would want to drink that." From that point the atmosphere was totally off putting. The food was very good and hot, the food runner was more personable then our waitress was. If you asked the waitress for anything it was a couple minute wait each time. What started out as a nice little place turned into somewhere I wouldn't go back too. read more

My husband and I stopped in for lunch after church and found they had a brunch menu. My husband had steak and eggs and I had the Country Bennie which was eggs Benedict with a of their breakfast potatoes. Holy cow was this place amazing! The breakfast potatoes are not just boring hash browns, but instead they are creamy and cheesy and just plain heavenly. The hollandaise sauce with my eggs benedict was perfect! I love this place! The food is delicious I especially enjoy Sunday brunch, crab cakes are very tasty with lots of crab, and $5.00 Bloody Mary's at brunch. Impeccable. Perfection. Unique. We ate here on our way to Noccalula Falls but have been eyeballing it for a while. It was so worth the trip from Birmingham to have such perfect food and service. We started with Crispy Brussel Sprouts...OMG the blue cheese with balsamic glaze was an amazing pairing. I had the Mcclusky's Favorite Burger and the gourmet pepper jelly was so unique but I should also mention how fresh off the grill and perfectly cooked it was! Key West can't touch this Key Lime Pie it was so delicious. Prepared to perfection is an understatement for every single thing we ordered. We had a few other things which were all the finest and unique offerings but other noteworthy things are the energetic and savvy service. Brett and his wife Holly are the sweetest ever. Went there yesterday for lunch and based my expectations on having had very good experiences with an Irish Pub in St. Louis. Could not believe Gadsden had such a jewel! Shame on you all for hiding it ! Fad saol agat.  "Long life to you." !!! I had the bangers and mash with a side of Irish wishkey, hey it was Irish. The bangers were perfect, sliced and lightly spiced. The mash had a perfect consistency covered by a perfect stout gravy. The shot of wishkey, well, how can you go wrong. Cost? Who cares! I found this on Yelp and am so glad that I went out of the way to go. I ordered the Dubliner and my mom got the pickle fried chicken. Both were amazing, the burger was juicy and the bacon jelly mingled with the melted cheese, to die for. The chicken was delish as well, almost like a chick-Fil-a sandwich with pickles, but better. Everything came out fast so I was quite impressed. My only issue was that the sides weren't really hot, just a bit above warm. It all tasted so good that I didn't mind though. This is a must try.
