Dr. Amin called me the next morning to make sure I was doing alright. I thought that was thoughtful. But being thoughtful is one thing. Being amazing at your craft is another. My new teeth look perfect - the size, the color.... everything is fantastic. I have no complaints. Even Mary at the front desk is super helpful with appointments and scheduling. In same phone call, I informed them I only needed a cleaning and nothing else since I had just had all x-rays done 6 months before at previous dentist and would have records sent to them. So i paid the deposit, had my old dentist forward my records, and spent over an hour completing all the on-line forms for their office. When I showed up to appointment, they presented me with this HUGE bill to pay before they do anything. When I reminded them about the insurance verification and filing, I was told they did not know how much would be refunded to me by insurance so I would have to pay and then wait to see. Since I felt lied to, I cancelled the appointment for which they charged me $150!

When I indicated that I only wanted the cleaning as advertised in their direct mailer, I was told they would not honor that or the 'in office' whitening that was advertised for $199. This has the appearance of false advertising that was intended only to create an exorbitant treatment plan. I paid their fee for the exam and left. I do not recommend this firm.

Half the things mentioned here are lies. 1) No one can advance notice of 24 hours if someone catch a cold. 2) These guys didnt even complete the replacement procedure with permanent crown and rused in charging late fee, so cheap. 3) These guys asked me to pay full amount ($740) on May 13th itself when they installed temporary crown. In the below email its a lie they only quoted half the amount. Mistake is on our side for one appointment where i showed in a wrong time, however all the other times there is a genuine reason. Policies should accomodate and be courtious, but not to rip-off customers like this. If doctor is waiting in the room and you dont step in be careful, they might add a late fee for that even such a joke. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Detalied email northlake sent to us : Please see attached documents from your visits related to crown #30. I am including the pre-D, your patient ledger, and the statements from your 2 visits. The pre-D lists a total patient portion of $740. On the date of service, May 13, 2025, half was due ($370). You did not bring your credit card to that appointment, but we told you we could send a payment request that was due at the end of the day by 5pm. That was not paid, so we added a $25 late fee. Your husband came in on May 27th and paid the original $370, but not the fee. On June 4th, there was a missed appointment because you thought your appointment was at 4pm. We charged a $50 fee for that day because it was the third time for a missed appointment. We waived the first 2 fees for you on May 5th and May 27th. Your final appointment was on June 9th. On that day, you paid the other half of the crown ($370), plus the late payment fee ($25), plus the missed appointment fee. ($50). Total on June 9th is $445. Our policy is to notify us at least 24hrs in advance if you need to reschedule. For Monday appointments, the cutoff is 12pm on Friday. You can call us, leave a voicemail, or send us a text. Any time we do not have 24hr notice in one of those ways, there will be a $50 fee added to that appointment. If you have any questions, please feel free to call 469-307-5093. Let me start off with the staff. The staff is so very friendly and accommodating to your schedule. They send reminder texts and emails and they give you a reminder card so you can make 100% sure the appointment you make works with your schedule. They also make sure along the way that you are comfortable (as you can be) during your appointment. You are the at the dentist after all. The experience of the cleaning was unexpected. They took these insanely detailed xrays and they refer to those for notes during the cleaning process. They also have a tv directly above you so you can watch TV and stay distracted while they do their work and you can look at your x-rays with them when needed. The cleaning was easy, thorough, and relatively painless. My teeth felt soooo clean afterward. They also recommended a mouth guard for me and told me exactly what was to be expected financially and time-wise. I feel as though I am in the right hands for future care. I'm 100% sure I picked the right dentist. They even sent me a thank you card after my visit. Nice touch :)

I walked in (actually rolled in cuz I'm handicapped) expecting to get x-rays, maybe a couple of teeth pulled and a thorough cleaning on the Monday before Thanksgiving. When I left a few hours later, I was missing a dozen teeth. You can guess what I ate for Thanksgiving, Mashed Potatoes! The dentist had explained my situation (in detail) and I agreed that this was the right thing to do (despite the date). He was so professional, yet friendly, and his assistant Val (Valerie) was so comforting it seemed like it was my mother holding my hand during the entire experience. The office staff were extremely helpful before and after coordinating an extremely affordable payment plan for the amount that exceeded my annual benefit limit. I returned a week later to have the remaining teeth pulled and I've been eating a lot more mashed potatoes and soft foods ever since while toughing up my gums prior to actually getting both upper and lower dentures. I'm SO looking forward to eating a juicy steak that I may go to a restaurant, like Qeenie's or Outback! Smile Workshop is making me feel like a man again. Thank You SO Much!

I have a hole under my tongue that hurt so bad I could not eat. I went back the next day and he said it was caused by a bur from his tool. No apology, just said I don't need antibiotics. When they submitted the insurance claims to Humana they billed for 7 different x-rays and for oral hygiene instructions. They didn't do any of those. The only thing they did was the prophylaxis. When Humana got the claims, they denied everything as the new dentist is "out of network". Shouldn't they have known this and done something to get him in network? When I went to the office to get this fixed, they were of no help. So I decided to switch to a different dentist.
