My entire family of four had our annual cleanings, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. So far, so good. Things took a turn when one of my daughters needed a filling. We were given an estimated cost based on in-network coverage, which seemed fair. The procedure went well, and I was told she needed an additional service during the visit. I wasn't informed that this would cost extra, but I would have agreed to it if I had known -- transparency is key. What frustrated me was receiving a secondary bill later on for an underpayment. I was surprised because this is supposed to be an in-network dentist. I assumed the costs were pre-negotiated with the insurance provider. Apparently not. While the dental care itself was good, we were left feeling misled and frustrated by the unexpected charges. We've decided to look for a new dentist who is more transparent and upfront about pricing -- especially when claiming to be in-network.

Another example of her caring approach is that she actually calls to check on me the evening after I saw her to make sure that my filling felt alright and see how I was doing, to me that shows that she cares about her patients.

They let me come in same day to fix a broken crown. Built the new one onsite and walked out same day with no pain. I'm one of those that hates going to the dentist, but I will definitely be back for my check ups from here on out. His staff is also great. Everyone there is very nice and caring. Almost forgot to mention that at 7pm that evening Dr. Lanning gave me a call to personally ask how my comfort level was. Awesome.

The first time I went I needed a night guard from grinding. My hygienist identified the problem before I did. She massaged my jaw and head, and asked me how I was sleeping at night. When I told her not well, she said she wasn't surprised because i was grinding my teeth. I left their office feeling about 10 pounds lighter from the short massage, and the cleaning was gentle and pleasant as usual. I honestly enjoy going to the dentist. I look forward to my time to sit back and relax in the chair for a while.

It was difficult to find a dentist that did wisdom teeth extractions without having a surgeon come in. Dr. Lanning was able to do my extraction. It took a lot longer than anticipated, but he was very calm and reassuring. He and his assistant took their time and explained everything each step of the way. I was very nervous but they did everything to make me relaxed. I have been a Registered Nurse for over 40 years and in all my years of going to the dentist I have not found one as professional and caring as Dr. Lanning. I have never had any major work done on my teeth since I typically take care of my oral health overall. My only constructive thought is that I wish the Dr had discussed what a filling is, what the process entails, etc. I don't feel like there was much conversation outside of "we will get those scheduled for you in a day and you'll be good to go." As someone new to dental work outside of a cleaning, more info would've been ideal before being provided the consent form for the procedure. Overall, I still recommend them and hope to have a greater experience with my procedure in October and my next cleaning as well in February.
