I ordered a party platter a week ago for pickup today. I received an email at 9 am saying it was ready to go. The requested pickup time was 10 am so I waited until then to pick it up. When I got there the deli couldn't find my order. I was directed to the produce department and they couldn't find it either. I showed them my email. Someone came out from the back and said it wasn't ready but would be in 10 minutes. 30 minutes later they finally gave me my platter. I'm not sure who dropped the ball but I won't be ordering anything from there again. read more

I was walking around the store with a friend who worked there, and her manager called her and said that I had to leave the store because another African American individual had stolen a product from the store. I felt stereotyped and disrespected at the same time. I'm never going here again after this experience. read more

It's really nice in here. All the staff speak and are friendly. Makes me feel like I'm shopping somewhere fancy. Received a request for NY strip steak with sauteed onions and mushrooms. Got all the ingredients here. The herbs and mushrooms looked great. And I've heard that the cheesecake here rivals the Cheesecake Factory. High praise. And the whole cake never last more than 3 days. read more

We are African American family in the area with a teenager who was running an errand for his father and myself October 18 th in the afternoon. Harris Teeter has been our main grocery store because of the customer service and overall quality and selection of items. Unfortunately today that has changed. My son walked into the store where an older white female worker glared and stared him down. She then promptly went on the intercom to call security to be on the look out in all aisles. He was not sagging or had an appearance of a thug. He is an intelligent hard working teen who is always trying to help anyway he can. He has aspirations and high hopes for his future. It was a classic case of racial profiling. Regardless of how people feel towards other cultures and races, there are other places in this community and beyond that are respectable and professional where we can take our business. It is the stupidity and ignorance of people such as this worker that fuel racially volatile environments that impact everyone. I am not looking for an apology or sympathy but want to bring awareness because I do not want other black males or anybody profiled or possibly subject to false accusations. Furthermore, no one has the right to rob anyone of their dignity or freedom. Although I am addressing the racial aspect of this I am going to point out that NO ONE is above reproach, or in any position to create a hostile environment for anyone regardless of race. Whoever this worker is I hope she reads and whether you care or not I do and I will always call bad behavior. read more

Extremely poor customer service - I placed an order online, and my shopper tried to call me while I happened to be on the phone. as soon as I was able to return the call, I did, and NO ONE could be bothered to answer the phone. Completely unacceptable for a business to NOT answer incoming phone calls. To add insult to injury, I was informed that no less than 5 items were "out of stock". It is important to note that 2 of these items were items that I cannot get anywhere else, are specific to my diet as a diabetic, and the ONLY reason I drive 35 miles across 2 counties instead of shopping at local grocery stores. Oh yeah! And they were not showing as being out of stock on the website. Note to self - don't waste time driving to this particular location any more! read more

Not sure what the point to preordering if it's not ready when you arrive. Ordered fruit tray two days in advance and it was not ready, plus when it was prepared it was put on the smaller tray at the medium price. Didn't get the fruit promised. All this, was the day of wedding so no chance to contact manager. read more

I ordered a Hippie Cake for my niece . The cake was BEAUTIFUL. Breanna Monroe did an Excellent job. I would reccomend her for any type of cake you may need. I got there an hour earlyand it was ready. I'd never seen a Hippie cake but her imagination brought it to light. Thank you Breanna for all the work you put into it. read more

This Harris Teeter is clean, well organized and pleasant to shop in. Great prices and really good sales. Open late which is great for those of us with busy schedules who like to shop in off hours. Only downside is sometimes their sale items go out of stock quickly. On the rare occasion I've bought produce that had a bad spot, they have always been great about replacing it. read more

I've recently started using the Express Lane online grocery orders with Harris Teeter, and I'm fairly impressed. The first time I used the service it took a little while to get someone to come to my car, but the following time they were very prompt and brought my order out quickly. Although there is a $5 charge to order online/have them bring out the order, it's worth it to not have to get my 2-year old and 5-month old out of the car to shop for groceries! Plus, it's easier to research prices for the items I want online. I was apprehensive at first about ordering produce, because I wasn't sure if they would pick a good selection for me. But so far my shopper has chosen what looks to be the best produce they have. I look forward to continuing to use this service there. I've also shopped inside this store, and it's very neat, well-organized and has a good selection of products. The staff is always friendly, as well. read more

When we said we were heading south for a road trip, some of our friends told us to check out Harris Teeter, "a cool grocery store," they said. We weren't that impressed. It is a nice grocery store. A lot better than some. But the real standout grocery store in the vicinity of this Harris Teeter is Lowe's Foods. It is really cool. Teeters: not so much. read more

I LOVE this pharmacy. I used to go to Riteaid but the pharmacist there was always really rude and unpleasant. The pharmacist here is SO nice; he recognizes me when I come in and I always have a great experience! Also, they have pretty good hours, open until 9pm most days. read more

We use the home shopping service each week for our groceries. It is a great service, you place your order online, pay $4.95 and someone shops for you. You drive up at the time your order is ready, pay and pick up. Today we picked up, paid, as we do every week. When I got home, I looked at my receipt, realized we were charged multiple times on several items, which I wasn't happy about. I went back into the store and spoke with the manager. For our trouble, she refunded double the amount we were over changed. I feel like they are very customer service oriented and want to make anything right that needs to be. I will be a loyal customer for sure! read more

Nice clean Supermarket and find their (soon to be mine) food fresh and of good value. They actually have a nice sushi made to order and ready made. They said their meat was pink slime free so there I go. Back to the meat counter, found it great! They are open 24 hours so when I first moved here that was very helpful. My #1 store in the area.
