Harris Teeter has become a new favorite when it comes to choosing where to buy my groceries. This particular location is conveniently located close to work and home, which makes trips faster. There's a ton of parking, too. Harris Teeter is always clean, well-stocked, and organized. The produce is always fresh when I visit and I've never seen anything that was out of date. Prices are comparable, if not cheaper, than its predecessors. Harris Teeter is also my preferred pharmacy location. They're always quick, friendly, and helpful. I did have one poor experience when I was picking up a prescription and was told they would have it in on Monday. I called that Monday to see if it was in and another pharmacist was baffled that no one told me that this particular item was over the counter and had been in stock. I came in and the pharmacist showed me where this product was located. She was super helpful! The cashiers have all been very friendly and quick during checkout, too. Very well stocked supermarket with a fair number of things on sale. Very clean and orderly as well. Felt it was impressive.

The Harris Teeter in Wake Forest off Rogers Rd has gone downhill the past few months. I'm not sure if the store is properly staffed. There are just a few registers open and lines form behind the unopened registers to not block the aisles. It is confusing without any rhyme or reason as where we are to go. The self checkout lines go into the wine department so that isn't a better option. The cashiers are friendly and go as fast as they can. The worst seems to be with the deli department. Twice I've tried to get a sub. The first time I waited 10 minutes and was not acknowledged or anything until I walked away. The other time I waited about 5 minutes and was ignored again until someone else joined me in the line. I was about to walk away again. They also were ignoring the orders coming in. It is sad as this was the best department in the store. The dairy department has expired goods from milk to yogurts so make sure you check the dates before you buy as the employees don't seem to do this. Need someone at Customer Service? There is nobody working there either. I think it is time to try another Harris Teeter or another grocery store altogether. read more

What a rip. We have stopped shopping at "the Teet" due to their ridiculously high prices. Occasionally, we'd still shop here when they'd do the "buy 3, get 2 free" deals on soda and ice cream. But, we've completely changed our way of eating and now, we don't purchase either anymore. Prices are inflated across the board, salad bar is ok, fried chicken/rotisserie chicken not nearly as good as Lowe's Foods. Overall, just way too high prices and there are just so many other stores to shop at locally for groceries that offer terrific pricing - Aldi, Lidl and Target, to name a few. Harris Teeter literally offers nothing that you cannot get anywhere else so there's no reason to shop here. read more

I tried to be the nice guy. The deli department sliced the wrong cheese and turkey. I offered to pay the sale price of what I ordered so they didn't have to throw the food out. The manager at the front said no. I paid the extra $10 and couldn't leave fast enough. Time to give Public's a try. read more

My family shops at Harris Teeter always and we love to shop there but the Starbucks employees are not it, they are rude and don't seem like they want to be there. We ordered our drinks and we were given much attitude and then when our drinks are done they are wrong :(. So I told the two young ladies working about how they were wrong and it looked like the world ended due to the eye rolls and heavy sighs and the rudeness of it all just double confirmed we won't be visiting again. read more

In general I like Harris Teeter stores and this one typically meets the same standards although they can be an overpriced chain. I was specifically disappointed when I went in at a peak time on a Sunday afternoon. The store was extremely crowded and I was only purchasing two items. I typically use self checkout except if I have a full cart. I feel that self checkout should be considered used for express shoppers only. The self checkout line was extemely long and there were people currently scanning that had completely full carts and many more full carts waiting in the line. I decided to take a look at the full service lanes. All, but maybe two lanes were open, but not a single one was designated as an Express Lane. I almost put my items back, but luckily found a lane that was reasonable. They have to do better. There needs to be options for Express customers or they'll just go elsewhere during peak times. At the very least Self Checkout should be designated for express during these times. read more

So we went to pick up our Thanksgiving dinner package that we had ordered at our local Harris Teeter. We had made arrangements over the phone to pick up our meal at 10am. When we went to the deli to get it, we were told it was not there and they had no record of our order. We asked to speak with the manager; when he arrived, he was not apologetic and told us that there was not a meal there for us and there was nothing he could do. He turned his back and walked away. We were very upset and left the store. We went grocery shopping at another grocery chain...and I am not a fan of going up and down the crowded aisles during this pandemic! We bought items that will need to be be prepared from scratch for our Thanksgiving meal. (We resigned ourselves to the fact that our Thanksgiving meal will be later than planned.) Three hours later, a woman working at a Harris Teeter store across Raleigh called us to ask when we would be picking up our Thanksgiving package...really? Since we had already purchased an alternative meal and finances are tight, I was not about to drive 20 miles each way to pick up the meal that should have been available at our local store! After 14 years of grocery shopping at Harris Teeter, they have lost us as customers! read more

The HT on Rogers Road in Wake Forest has the best customer service! I shop there personally. I also have used them for large cut fruit orders for my business. It is a pleasure to work with manager Anthony Burchette. He always makes sure our order is great and ready on time. This HT is in a great location in Wake Forest. They always have a friendly staff and this one has a trail mix bar, Chinese food bar, olive bar, salad bar, pizza, fresh bread, everything!! We love this HT! Always a great deal on something and we hardly ever wait in line. Perfect when you are stopping in after work to get a few items for dinner or some awesome sirloin steaks to grill!! The meat section is incited and the guys behind the counter are awesome!! You fill find as always a great wine and micro brew selection as always. Highly recommend this Harris Teeter!! read more

Like Adri T mentioned, this is also "My Harris Teeter". This Harris Teeter was the winner of the "Best of the Best" in Wake Forest for it's wine selection. It truly has an amazing wine department which is why I frequent it. If there is every something I need in the Vino department, HT is the place now that Twisted Vine is closed. The staff is always amazing, even in the wee hours of the night when staff in other grocery stores become like zombies, HT has staff that are still all smiles! They also have a great organic food department. While the prices are often too high for me to do my major grocery shopping, it is a nice and safe place to pop-in for small trips. read more

My Harris Teeter! (Sung to the tune of the 'ole HT jingle!) Harris Teeter in Wake Forest is located in the Heritage complex on Rogers Road. Soon there will be two more HT's in WF - one at the intersection of Capitol and New Falls of Neuse, and one at the intersection of Capitol and Harris/Purnell. This HT is full of friendly folks and great merchandise. Their produce and chicken/beef are always fresh and they have a very good selection. For more ethnic items, however you may find yourself trekking downtown to Whole Foods - and probably should go there or Fresh Market for most seafood items. (Most of what (seafood) is displayed at this HT appears previously frozen and almost sometimes mushy in texture.) We visited last night and took advantage of some great deals. They constantly run good sales with "Buy 2 Get 3 Free", or Double, and even Triple coupons. If you can not find what you are looking for, just see someone at CSD and they will be happy to write you a rain check, offer a substitution, or order an item for you. Bought shrimp 3 weeks ago took out to cook had a ammonia smell my sister bought fish last 2 weeks same issue, called store, spoke to manager. He was concerned about a receipt rather than the issue of spoiled fish.....how disappointing. Will not buy seafood there again read more

I stopped by here one day last week to pick up some last minute "snow day items". IMO it's your typical HT nothing to rage about. The cashier was very friendly and polite, the store was clean and very easy to locate items. If ever in that area again, I would stop by, but no special trip just because. read more

Organization is precise; everything falls into place within an exceptionally clean setting. The staff are positive and very helpful. I asked for the special they had for a pizza the day I visited and it was prepared immediately upon request, and immaculately done at that. After the brief and pleasant shopping the pizza was cooked, packaged and ready to be taken. A much appreciated experience all around and zero complaints. read more

Huge shout out to the bakery staff here! We had a birthday party planned for our son yesterday and had Harris Teeter make 3 cakes for the celebration. My son unfortunately came down with the flu the morning of the party so we had to cancel everything last minute. When I went to the bakery to pick up the cakes and explain the situation Wendy and the manager could not have been nicer. Not only did they voice their sympathy and wish my son well, but they decided to freeze the cakes to try and resell them. They didn't charge us a dime! This HT is a standard HT well stocked good prices and a decent meat department though not fantastic. The fish department area is poor as most HTs are. They never seem to be under stocked but the problem seems to be service at check out which is very very slow on the weekends. It's not that they are bad just plain slow as heck! read more

The deli counter service is terrible. There is no sense of urgency. The produce is only fresh if you happen to be there the day they are restocking. The butcher Stu is the only saving grace at the Heritage Lake Store. read more

Over the years we've only shopped at HT when the sales were very good because this place is a nightmare to get out of for certain directions. Throughout the past year, service has stepped up somewhat and they have had massive expansion going on, and that is likely due to Publix being built across the street. However, recently (3 days before Publix opened) I picked up a bakery order of 6 giant cupcakes in a specific color. When I went to unstack the cupcakes, the bottom one had all the icing smashed. It was not smashed on the lid of the container so it was done prior. The girl tried to hid the smashed cupcake. That is NOT good customer service. It ended up that she gave me 2 other cupcakes for free, but no apology. So, with that, I will only be shopping at HT when there are great sales, but going across the street to Publix. This location still is not at the Durant/Falls of Neuse quality level, but it is evident they are working on it. read more

I sometimes shop here, only because it is close to home. I used to rely on them for organic and gluten free options, which they do have some of. However, since they announced purchase of Harris Teeter by Kroger, I have noticed a shift from the higher quality foods to the standard grocery store brands, with an emphasis on packaged foods. Also the quality and availability of the organic produce seems to have decreased. Some Harris Teeter organic brands that they used to carry, such as their label organic butter, they no longer carry. I have asked customer service about these changes, and they claim that there is no change, but I believe my eyes. I have found the few organic products are overpriced, and have found the same items costing less at Whole Foods. They are not a reliable source for organic produce, it is hit or miss. I am very disappointed in this store and how it has come down. read more
